I think when the df user dies the fruit will reincarnate to the nearest kind of fruit like for example a mango base fruit df will grow again in the nearest mango fruit
I guess if it's just a tiny piece of the fruit it would still work but would depend on just how toxic it is. I wonder if the Venom-Venom Fruit is poisonous.

I hate toxic fans why do you need swordsmanship or Rokushiki to make it useful. Predicting moves and potentially seeing the future is useful and combine it with a reinforced punch from armament haki you can beat anyone who doesn’t have haki and if you are lucky enough to get conquerors you can take down army’s. Sure your not gonna be fighting the strongest people but it’s a great starting point to learn from

@@laughmau2097 Well, Franky can swim. He probably does have flotation devices, or maybe his body isn't as heavy as it looks. He also may have designed his metal body to have a lot of surface area to allow him to be more buoyant. This makes me think though, could he still swim if he at a devil fruit? Like, his human body would be paralyzed, but he is still conscious. His bionic parts are probably converting his brain waves into electrical currents which activate his arm's motors, so when he is in the water, he could do the same. He could technically even add an air tank so he could breath. This depends on if the devil fruit would consider his bionic parts to be a part of his body, therefore making the machines not function. If it didn't recognize them as such, though, having a devil fruit could be super bad for Franky. Imagine he ate the mera-mera fruit, but only his still human parts could turn it fire. He would separate from his bionic parts, and when he reformed he may die.
I looked into it some more and found a reddit post. I forgot that Kuma was a cyborg and he could use his devil fruit just fine. I also forgot that Vegapunk figured out how to give devil fruit powers to inanimate object. So Franky could use a devil fruit. I'm not sure if it would just effect his whole body (bionic parts and all) immediately though, or if he would need the process that Vegapunk used to have it effect his bionic body. Kuma was converted by Vegapunk, so he may have needed that technique for it to still work on his body. That still doesn't answer my original question, though, since his bionic body might not feel weakened by the water even if his devil fruit effected it. If that was the case, then having a bionic body could completely circumvent the DF weakness.

haki seems accessible compared to DF plus I'd rathar be able to swim in a world that is 99% water .Heck if I was in the one piece world I'd rathar have the fighting style of CP9 with armament/observation haki mastery

KaKu- Rokushiki, swordsman, devil fruit, has probably mastered haki by now.
don't forget about Kizaru and his light sword and Aokiji and his ice saber or is Shiriyu of the rain (I have no clue if he can use haki)

The "swordsmen" in the series almost exclusively fight with swords unless they have no other option.

Fujitora has all the abilities, DF, Haki, Sword... no karate, but at that point it would really be overkill
Swordsmanship can be considered as martial art like karate since it still requires some capacity of physical strength while also having the techniques. Most swordsman if not all have the physical strength to fight bare hands just not to the same degree as bare hand fighters.
Shiryu is the same.
Sabo has all of them though

But armament haki solvs being to pale and observation haki/conqueror's haki can stop so many akavet situations before they even happen

@@eshryo Considering we barely get any instances of the invisible haki, I like to think that hardening is the bare basics of armament haki while the invisible haki is the more advanced one. Or maybe there is no "invisible haki". it is just the outer haki being used. Maybe characters like Garp and the admirals are so good at using them, they can do what hygoro did almost instantly. Maybe the Kujas are also adapt at using the outer Haki as well which would explain why their arrows do not have hardening on them. And you could say depending on how good you are, the outer haki can become that much more powerful.

Another thing to keep in mind, is that with Haki, you need to maintain your concentration to use it. If you're distracted, or allow doubt to cloud your mind, it can interfere with your Haki abilities. Where as Devil Fruits are always accessible, unless you're in contact with sea prism, or submerged in water. Actually, even being submerged isn't a 100% cancellation, as we saw with Luffy during the Arlong fight.

I'd rather have a guaranteed powerful ability that can grow stronger with training , seeing the future , have mountains and giant animals as punching bags , you can conquer the world just by haki .
When it comes to devil fruit it depends on your luck , having the magma or quake fruit is not the same as having the chop or human fruit.
Haki is the best choice.

So Rayleigh was the first person to make me realize how op swimming was. In a world without the Marine battle ships that work in the calm belt (which I think was in rayleighs lifetime) Rayleigh was one of the very few people able to go to Amazon Lily just by swimming there.
Depends on the "level" of you and your area:
Low level(non grand line): Devil Fruit
Mid level(paradise grand line): A great devil fruit(logia) is slightly better.
High level (new world): HAKI!!! When you get to fighting Yonko and their commanders, god level haki is a must.
I don't know, haki would still be OP in the East Blue
And you can always learn rokushiki, or swordsmanship, or fishman karate, or just punch people really, really hard

I was using region just for a general power of the area. Like, how your experience/skill is at certain levels. Like, East Blue is where you as a level 1 pirate gain xp from fighting level 1-3 pirates.
Of course if you tossed a high skilled(level 50) haki user into East Blue, it would be, just... a blood bath. See Mihawk as an exact example of this.
I'd take advanced haki in any area of the one piece world over a DF
@@mlgmelon Haki would be better in fights but outside of fights devil fruits are far superior. Just imagine being able to fly or regenerate or make objects into things that are able to move and talk. You could just start a business and become rich in a month xD

The start of this video sounds like a passive aggressive dungeon master trying to host a D&D session.
It is also important to realize that there are probably way more garbage devil fruit than we are shown. If a person eats a strong or useful fruit, they are more likely to become important characters in the story. However, there could be lots of people who ate useless fruits and never became strong enough to enter the Grand Line or be in the spotlight. The devil fruits which we hear about, and the devil fruits which are shown, are mostly good ones. It is entirely possible that strong devil fruit are massively outnumbered by trashy fruits.

I prefer Haki. People be cutting the sky. Using Mountains as punching bags (Garp). Swimming across the most dangerous sea (Rayleigh). Seeing into the future. Knocking out people in my presence who ain't on my lvl. Just really useful abilities.
There are many skills that allow you to fly as well and see the future is kinda op
Haki blooms as well so any one can get stronger with it but some ppl might not be as creative with a fruit to max its potential kinda like with ace and sabo say ace was better user ofc he had it longer but he seem to be his only way of fighting a top tier but sabo has definitely got better haki and I would say he was alr stronger than ace with just haki.in the future sabo will probably awaken it.

theoretically a way to bypass the gambling with devil fruits.
step 1: Find fruit.
step 2: Feed fruit to person or animal with incredibly small lifespan.
Step 3: Power of devil fruit goes into nearest fruit at death of user, therefore keep fruit near user at time of death or kill them with said fruit by just to be safe, or go the bigmom strategy.
Step 5: eat the fruit if you like the ability or sell it.

Then someone foresaw his plan, and match him up with a strong non devil fruit user who is a heavy hitter, and bb felt that he was facing a double heavy hitter because of the specisl disadvantages of his df, which he feels double the pain.
Conclusion: match bb with non df user and you win some points.

So far, only armament haki has a limit, but that‘s usually irrelevant. The only time a limit has ever been mentioned is with Luffy‘s 4th gear.

Isn't Blackbeard's Yami Yami no Mi superior to Haki, though. His touch completely nullifies a DF user's powers. Haki doesn't go _that far_ .
Train Haki, become a bounty hunter, buy the devil fruit encyclopedia, decide on a fruit. Either hunt the current owner or buy it from your bounty hunter money. There, i solved it :D

Hypothetical question here: with the jacket fruit, does the person need to be alive? Like could he potential take over someone who just died with the help of an assistant. Possibly taking over a giant.

the creature needs to be alive in order for the jacket jacket fruit to work, cuz one of the condition of the jacket jacket fruit is it needs the consent of the person putting on the jacket. that's why many ppl think it's a useless df
Other applications of the jacket fruit might be, in the hands of a master instructor, you may be able to pass on skills fast (maybe even in the span of a couple hours) through muscle memory...maybe even knowledge like spoken language or tactile talent like painting or playing musical instruments.
@@LeoBeastmode Another thing I can imagine is partial transformation. Like transforming only parts of the body into jacket, perhaps it could be used like the Paper Arts of the Rokushiki. Or even be used to survive falling from high places, just turn yourself into a jacket and flutter in the wind.
I think it is really difficult to compare, since Haki is more of a general boost to my natural abilities, and Devil Fruits depend heavily on how creative you can be

I'd say my own personal choice would be Haki, even though I'm not a very strong swimmer to begin with and wouldn't lose much by getting a devil fruit. I'd specifically focus on observation and use it to analyze materials. That would be incredibly useful for someone like me who enjoys making things, as I'd be able to pick out the perfect tree for a stringed instrument and cut it at the perfect angle to get the best result possible. If I get into metalworking, I could identify cracks and impurities, judge when a forge weld is complete, and deal with weird stresses in the metal that could ruin a project. Either of those crafts would also benefit from a bit of armament haki, because you could just punch hot metal into shape with your bare fist or cut notoriously abrasive woods without dulling your saw.
That's not how Haki works. You can obviously train, but you'll be naturally inclined to onenor the other. So if you happen to hqve a natural gift for Armament your entire idea hits the Red Line.

I'm more partial to haki, because of my love for martial arts and cultivation. I also like to swim.
Guns are so nerfed in One Piece so one even considers thems but can you imagine the lethality of a sniper with observation Haki? Also armament haki is way weaker if you spread it out but just think of how tough you could make a bullet. Throw conqueror's into the mix and your mark wouldn't even be able to move after you've lined up your shot!

I feel like it's telling that the condition for a logia type DF user beating a gifted haki user, is also having haki.
I also think that Shanks being one of the most powerful people in the world with no DF is a statement. There are no DF users that are, or will be, special without haki.
(Yeah, Blackbeard's haki is not that strong. But he DOES have it. And he also does happen to have not one, but 2 of the strongest DFs in the world).
I mean I think DFs are way cooler and a key element to hitting the highest level of strength, but I think haki is an absolute necessity for anybody strong.
