    Motocross Action tests the 2021 KTM 250SXF out at Glen Helen Raceway. The 2020 KTM 250SXF was the Motocross Action Magazine shootout winner last year. For 2021 the bike has been updated primarily in the mapping and suspension departments. These refinements have been made to better improve the ride and comfort on the KTM 250SXF. Will the changes add up to another win for KTM? Only time will tell as we have a handful of 250s left before they go head to head in the 2021 MXA 250 Shootout. Here are some more details about the bike from KTM.
    (1) New graphics with updated color scheme for a Ready to Race appearance.
    (2) New mapping adds low-end power to drive out of corners, enhancing the SX-F’s already light feel.
    (3) New updated WP Xact front forks with new internals-designed for refined performance, comfort and handling-feature extended oil and air bypasses to reduce pressure peaks while a new mid-valve damping system improves damping control for exceptional feedback and feel. Performing in concert with the new air bypass, a smaller rebound spacer in the air leg increases air volume in the negative chamber for a more linear spring curve, emulating the behavior of a spring while keeping all the benefits of an air fork.
    (5) New reworked WP XACT shock with a
    (6) New o-ring for the link piston to reduce fading and improve consistency over long motos.
    (7) New suspension settings front and rear compliment the new hardware for better traction, improved comfort and confidence-inspiring feel.
    (8) New “low-friction” linkage bearing seals made by SKF provide noticeably freer linkage action, offering better suspension feel and performance throughout the shock stroke.
    (9) New Dunlop MX33 tires provide superior grip in a wide variety of terrain along with enhanced durability.
    (10) Compact DOHC (double overhead camshaft) engine with cutting-edge cylinder head featuring titanium valves and super-light finger followers with a hard DLC coating.
    (11) High-tech, lightweight chrommoly steel frame with carefully calculated flex parameters provides a great blend of comfort, stability and precision.
    (12) Hydraulic Brembo clutch and brake system offers highly controllable modulation and light operation.
    (13) Bore/Stroke: 78.0mm x 52.3mm

    So just to clarify buy the KTM then change the gearing, get an aftermarket exhaust & reconfigure the mapping....or just buy the Kawasaki or Yamaha for less!😂

      Stay on a 125 until you can ride it pretty hard and then get a 250. 125’s are a lot of fun so there’s no real rush to get on a 250 until your a bit older

      aluminum does not flex like the chromoly steel frame. Ktm cant get the right amount of flex out of a aluminum

    • @tcmx712
      @tcmx712 3 роки тому +1

      Because they prefer a frame that is neutral. It corners well and is stable. Aluminum frames are 1 or the other you can't have both for example honda and suzuki corner better but aren't stable whereas the yamaha has great stability but can't corner. Kawasaki has done a good job at being close but is still a stability based bike aswell
