CJRB has a new steel too Called AR-SFII 1% carbon and 1% vanadium and 15% chromium and 3.75% Molybdenum Spray form, like AR-RPM9 Looks really promising as a D2 replacement, just better in every way except for toughness
I just wish they would do another front flipper like they did with the Ekko. All these variations seem similar so give the front flipper guys like me some options! Hey MC I gifted that Pyrite lite I won from you to my Grandfather and he really loves it! Carries it every day. Says it is very easy for him to operate due to the button lock. Great selling point for folks up there in age with arthritis. Great video!

Owned this for a bit, but ended up returning it. The handle shape ended up with me getting bit by the blade twice when closing. The taper at the butt end of the knife is just wrong for a crossbar lock. They should've either flattened it out or tapered it towards the other way.
The Pyrite was the first knife I got with the hole for deployment. I regretted not getting thumb studs for a day... anything new will feel strange at first. Don't complain online. Give it a day, and if you hate it, return it. Someone else will enjoy it.
I left a 5star on Amazon because I thought it was really good, especially at the $30 I paid. It also has an extra hole on each liner to adjust the crossbar tension.
The Pyrite lite is my knife of the year. I bought some great and very expensive knives this year and I really like it. I just don't love the button lock. This one might replace it.
I feel like those amazon reviewers probably just didn't know what to expect from a crossbar lock and thought it would be like a liner lock. I don't really find any of them satisfying to reverse flick, and actually it's the weak omega springs (benchmade) that make it all floppy which are the problem for me.
@@lando8913yes and no. The price has to start somewhere. This is how literally everything works. There's "MSRP" and then there's whatever everyone else chooses to sell it for. Most places have the same price when it comes to knives but not always
They can make a $30 FRN scaled knife centered. What the hell is Spydercos excuse when out of the 3 lite series knives I own exactly zero of them are centered.
I took your recommendation about the skeleton handle and Pyrite and ordered the CJRB 3 Knife from Amazon, but unfortunately, I had a horrible experience. All three knives I received were defective. I eventually switched to the CIVIVI Elementum, and I have to say, I wouldn’t recommend CJRB based on my experience. CIVIVI is far superior in both service and quality.

In many cases a flipper tab will ruin other very important utilitarian elements of the design such as ergonomic comfort / freedom. Best bet is to buy one of the 10 billion flipper designs already on the market

It's easier than "MPYSWBYICI" - (Manufactures price you start with before you inevitably cut it)
