I always love how boba isn't portrayed as evil, just a professional doing his job and only killing other folk in self-defense
Just a simple man trying to make his way in the galaxy, like his father before him.
@@thedarknesscallingme real
When he worked for the Empire it was just a job to him. Nothing more
Exactly, which is why him being such a nice guy™ pushover in Book of Boba Fett sucked so much.
Well, he was evil in second movie, considering what vader told him.
“You know it feels good not to be the target for once.”
And this is why we love Cal.
Boba: yet
He’s pretty cool
Add a little duel music to the scene and it'll be EPIC! I mean the scene where all three standing armed to the teeth and waiting for someone to make a move.
I'd like to know more about what Caij did to make herself more valuable than a Jedi that survived the purge, eluded Vader and destroyed Imperial outposts.
The fact that she had no idea Boba was after her suggests her bounty was posted VERY recently. It might not even have been a posted bounty, but a special job given specifically to Boba since he has history with her.
See... THAT is why they fucked up so badly with BoBF. There was ripe opportunity to show Boba in his bounty hunting prime, which have served to develop his character as the "cold-blooded killer" that turns magnanimous in BoBF.
@@nahor88to much text
I love how he tells him “ see you around Jedi.” But continues to eye him through his visors. Almost like a warning
Yeah, like a warning that if Cal isn't careful, he would be perfectly fine bringing him in too
It doesn't help that Cal has a purple lightsaber like Windu...😂
My thoughts exactly. Pretty sure they'll fight next game.
Because Cal is valuable to but so he might one day come for him to just not now.
Best way to defeat Boba Fett is to cut off his jetpack and let him fall into a Sarlacc Pit.
The way Boba squares up against Cal after trapping Caij is fucking sick. Perfect positioning to blast if Cal begins to march forward. Awesome.
@@dachshund_gaming No shit? But in that moment he still is in the perfect positioning to protect himself. He's levering range.
But nice comment captain obvious!
@@ApexHC bruh
at the start of the clone wars trying to kill mace windu but failed years later he's hired by the empire for bounty
@@klipsfilmsmelbourne Your point being what exactly?
@@billpenrod4271 he invented the game boohoo.
Nice to hear Temura Morrison voice coming out from Boba. As great as dee Bradley baker is as the clones, it's nice to hear the OG.
I always saw it this way. With all the clones being the same voice, and Boba being the one with his fathers voice (temura's voice). Boba is that 1 clone who stands out and I think that makes him special.
@@Whineanddine52 But that makes no sense. Boba is identical to the clones, including his voice. It's even confirmed in The Mandalorian that Tem's voice is the "canon" clone voice.
What makes Boba stand out from the other clones is that his independent thinking isn't reduced and he isn't restricted to a military mindset.
Lol he's not the OG, Jason Wingreen is.
@@Whineanddine52 yet in the prequels the clones have the same voice as the Fett's
@@MichaelM28 Wingreen isn't the OG either, Don Francks in the holiday special is. Who said the iconic ''I am Boba Fett line.'' Francks and Morrison are my favourite. I watched that cartoon and the holiday special as a kid first, yes i'm old. I was bummed Don francks didn't voice him when the movie came out a while later.
He's just a simple man making his way around the galaxy like his father.
I think BOBF Boba is better.
Correction, his father is making his way around the UNIVERSE.
@@williamturner79 a normal man making his way through an expanse galaxy like his father before him.
Like a bantha
Before him.
"You know, it feels good to not be the target for once." Such a great and relatable line, especially for Jedi of that time.
They had an entire series with Boba Fett, and the writers couldn't do him justice. But this one simple scene... _this_ is Boba Fett.
Morrison tried to tell Favreau this, but got ignored. Hopefully Favreau has realized it. Favreau is very weird, he's capable of creating such compelling stories, see Mando S1 AND 2, and then messing up big time with the BOBF and Mando S3. Hopefully his writing returns to form of S1 and 2 for Mando S4 and other projects.
Eu legends boba solo’s the shitty disney counterpart, well boba before he fell in the sarlacc pit was ok too in the disney universe.
They trapped themselves with the show because they stole Boba/Jango's entire characterization from the EU and have it all to Mando, what can you do with Boba Fett when you have a carbon copy of him going around?
I didn't mind the idea of him basically becoming a crime boss but they removed any edge or bite to him. Every single time he got screwed over or attacked by someone, no matter how badly he got hurt or humiliated he'd just brush it off and offer them a job.
Sure you could portray him as trying to be more fair or merciful after his time with the Tuskens but he's WAAAAAAAY too nice in that show.
@@quantras2673 Plus, he's not even a crime boss. He refuses to take part in any actual illicit activities. He's basically a sheriff
“That’s…exactly what I’m gonna do”
Never stop being a comedian, cal
"see you around jedi" felt like less of a statement and more like a threat. Boba in his prime bounty days is always a treat
you mean treat or threat, both are accurate I am just curious which you meant
The way he eyes him for a few seconds after saying it, as if to say "I know your face now boy"
@@1mrsheep He's the same age as Cal at this point in the timeline.
I love how Boba just says, "See ya," like it's completely normal and ok. I love his simplicity.
Edit: I know Boba is threatening Cal as well. I'm not focusing on that. I'm focusing on the simplicity. I don't appreciate some of the ruder tones I have gotten from some responses.
Lol this dude speaks to freaking Darth Vader on a regular basis, the dude partly responsible for the rise of the empire and the fall of the Jedi. This is a Sunday stroll
@@elusivefella8314 also almost responsible for preventing darth vader considering how he almost killed mace and Anakin in clone wars, and that’s also as a kid
That see you around probably means when he will go for Cal's bounty. It kinda is a promise and a threat. I wouldn't call it normal when a bounty hunter says that to me.
It's one of those polite with potentially threatening subtext things he does so well. He's basically saying 'I might be sent after you next. If I am this won't save you.'
@@bence1830 I thought that as well, since Cal chose not to attack Boba and since Boba can only carry one body at a time, it's obvious that he was letting Cal get a head start so that he'll begin his hunt the second he delivers the first bounty. He was just being honorable imo
THIS is the Boba Fett we want to see. Cold and ruthless.
He's not only cold and ruthless, he's clearly fair and respectful here too towards Cal. And doesn't snitch on him despite his animosity towards the Jedi. The best Boba is a mix of ruthless to those who deserve it and fair to those who don't and Mando S2 got it right too.
@@jordanfitzgerald7886my guy, my guy that was perfectly said. Finally someone who gets it. You dropped this 🤌👑
Isn't like in his 20s
People change with age. This is how Boba was in his 30's, the Boba we see in the Book of Boba Fett is, like, in his 50's. Also, his time with the Tuskens changed him a lot.
@@yumallah he was in his 40s in the book of boba fett
Boba fett is more badass here than his own show
I still can't believe Favreau messed up making Boba Fett badass. I'm okay with him being humbled by the Tuskens but him running a charity while letting Fennec do all the cool stuff is going too far.
That scene with Boba and Din Djarin was pretty sick.
@@vetarlittorf1807 Favreau refuses to allow a writing room and doesn't seem to take criticism well and ignores logical suggestions including from Boba Fett himself. Like we know from interviews during the making of the BOBF, Temuera read the script and was like wtf is this shit and tried to convince Jon that it wasn't quite right, but we know Jon ignored him. I bet Temuera was ecstatic to voice Boba in this form again.
@@jordanfitzgerald7886 Yeah, I heard Favreau's reasoning was that Boba should be soft because he was soft in The Clone Wars, but he doesn't seem to realize that TCW was depicting him as a child who lost his innocence.
@@jordanfitzgerald7886 Did Tem actually voice him here? If so, then that's awesome.
Boba in this scene is the embodiment of professionals have standards. He's civil in his dialogue with Cal since Cal isn't the guy he's here for just a guy who's here and since Cal helped him bring in his target he does him a solid and let's him walk away
Boba pays his debts, and although he probably could’ve managed to capture her without his help, he did save Boba a ton of effort dealing with the grenade
He may not have made it to the Mandalorian season but his appearance here was worth more than another season in Disney.
Right? Frankly I hope Boba never appears in the Mandalorian or any Favreau/Filoni related show again, cuz they’ll botch him again. Short and sweet appearances like this and ESB are perfect
@@ricopitulation nah he needs an epic solo game with him as the lead
This *is* Disney.
Cal shares the same canon as the current canon.
@@tomimn2233 but this is written better than the shows
@@tomimn2233yes, but apparently the game designers understand Boba Fett far better than that buffoon Favreau.
Boba Fett continues to be just as cool & badass as he was when we first met him 43 years ago
I SWEAR Boba just knows how to get around in Star Wars, somehow bro met so many main characters he's practically Stan Lee levels of important.
It's a pity that Lucasfil and filoni didn't see it, because unfortunately that position now belongs to Ashoka.
Yep it’s almost like he was written that way
@@estesdabestes340 *cough * Kathleen
Honestly I wanted to see them adapt his EU wife an child into canon. I can always dream.
He's the son of Janjo, 100s of thousands of clones are modeled off him.
He's far more important and connected then people realise.
He took down a battle crusier as a kid.
I loved the reference The good the bad and the ugly
And boba showing up was pretty good!
Exactly what I thought, a Mexican standoff,
I had to scroll far too long before finding this comment.
YOURE SO RIGHT! It’s not like we haven’t seen it in a million tv shows and games before
@@CognizantCheddar haha exactly my thought
@@estesdabestes340 I can think of exactly zero other games in which three characters face-off in a triangle and one of them direct quotes the movie.
The actual reality is that most Zoomers have never seen TGtBatU.
This is a great Boba representation! The cold and Ruthless Bounty Hunter of the Originals but is also reasonable and Just a Man Making his way in the Galaxy as his father before him.
Glad they got Temuera Morrison again to voice him.
Nice to see boba fett cameos in Jedi survivors
I love that he's just like.
Boba: The Jedi is Valuable, and I have more reason to go after jedi after Geonosis, but... This bitch is worth more.
and Cal was smart enough not start beef with one of the few bounty hunters in the galaxy not after him.
“See you around Jedi” has to be one of boba’s coldest line he basically saying he’s prolly gonna have to hut him down one day and knows he can probably take him
He hates the color Purple...🤣

I like how he points the blaster at Caij and the flamethrower at Cal since that way he won't be able to deflect the shot. Pretty cool detail.
I love how boba knows good and damn well that vader wants the jedi dead but just because he isn't getting paid for it he doesn't lay a finger on cal
he aint vaders bitch, hes a professional
This is the most perfect depiction of Boba Fett since ESB. His character model is 100% faithful to ESB and it’s beautiful
Boba has a better portrayal here than he did in his entire show.
UNORIGINAL COMMENT
Interestingly... his entire suit is ESB themed but his EE-3 is the ROTJ version. They even got the right skull on the shoulder. Wonder why they decided to change his blaster. Really sick to see him like this!
It’s his favourite blaster so perhaps he has more than one.
As someone who loves this look and loves animating, I cannot wait for someone to get their hands on the model for boba.
@@xtrusion101 Right??? I love his mannerisms here. So much can be conveyed through that helmet. You feel the judgement of all the jedi through that T visor as he stares down Cal at the end.

At least now we know where Leia got the idea from.
Actually in Solo they were trying to imply that Han taught her that move given that he does it to Lady Proxima before escaping.
Boba's appearance, which caught me offguard, reminded me of the Force Unleashed, where I also didn't expect him to appear.
Also, I like how Boba is calm throughout this entire exchange.
This is the Boba Fett we know and love. Just like the Man with No Name but in space - badass, calculating, and professional.
Can we appreciate how Boba was able to disarm her with a single shot after being hit by a blaster? People normally would miss because of getting hit
Normally people died after being shot
Nice reference to the "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"
Boba: See you around Jedi.
Cal: (I really hope not)
1:51 That Boba quickdraw is cool!
Bro this the boba we needed in the book of boba Fett!!!!
Too many cooks is how you fuck up a show, but this Boba portrayed here actually feels accurate for once with everything well thought out, brilliant.
2:14 “see ya chump” 😂
No matter what form of media he’s in, Boba Fett always looks badass
This segment alone is way better than the entire book of Fett
Yes
I would say that the train heist sequence was pretty awesome… but outside of any of the flashbacks, yes.
@@Zeknif1 it’s a shame though, I kinda liked Boba’s development as Daimyo, but there was a lot of writing choices that made that modern story less enjoyable.
@@alpacawizardman6778 In addition to a number of fundamental elements of the action sequences that were severely lacking. The speeder chase scene was very poorly edited on top of bad cinematography that left it feel slow, and the Mods and their speeders… the lighting on them wasn’t matching up with the movement very well throughout the sequence making them stand out even more than they already did.
Which is unimaginably frustrating to me because I actually love the concept of the Mods… just wish they’d get around to fleshing out the characters both individually and as a group.
I love how Baskar Armor actually bounces off blaster fire even in game lol
It’s not pure hence why it becomes damaged
1:20 love The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly reference
Easily recognized.
Boba: Say lad, where'd you get that lightsaber from?
Cal: Why? Is it yours?
Boba: No, but it belonged to the kiIIer of my father, so... hand it over.

This is how Boba Fett should have been portrayed in The Book of Boba Fett.
How this scene make Boba Fett better than his own show from last year is beyond me, but from what I've seen here I'm glad there are some people who know how to do him right!
This scene alone made me convinced this game is awesome
Wow, imagine seeing this character “Boba Fett” in his own tv show! You couldn’t mess that up, right?
No lo hicieron
Good thing they didn't mess him up
Nice to hear Tem do the voice. I like Dee but I prefer to have the continuity from the live action stuff be carried through.
feels like a missed opportunity to have cal recognize his voice
Sheesh my mistake to hop on UA-cam and have this spoiled by a thumbnail 😢 thnx dude
The Glup Shitto cameo is closer than ever to happening
Crazy to think Boba is only 23 years old here.
He had to grow up very fast after Jango died to make a living in a world of adult criminals. Makes sense he's far more mature and collected than the average 20 something year old. Like the old western days when 20 year olds looked and acted 35. I think the lifespan in the outer rim isn't that long due to the old western like harsh frontier lifestyle and the violence.
The armor is a bit too damaged then.
Would be cool if Cal also meet other Inquisitor sisters and brother maybe Seventh sister would help him to defeat Darth Vader after she find out how Second Sister died
pretty sure all the other inquisitors know about that, they've already suffered when Vader trained them, this would not change their allegiance
Wait ,so there are no other inquisitors in survivor? Only ninth? Man...

Jedi: Survivor managed to write Boba better in 2 minutes than Favreau did in a whole freaking season.😑😂
Thank god someone actually realizes Favreau is to blame, he's the showrunner and writer. He's good when he's good and downright terrible when he's terrible. And fuck him for ignoring Temuera who brought up the same concerns a lot of fans had. He doesn't seem to take criticism well and won't accept a writers room to help him write. He only has an inexperienced staff writer under him Noah Kloor. ''Here is 55 minutes of Dr Pershing eating ice cream, and half and 10 minutes for Din.'' he's lost the structure of his seasons since BOBF. Mando S3 continued his decline.
Leave him alone and back off!
The conspirators of Disney, what is the main cause along with Katherine get that through your damn skulls, because in truth, if it wasn’t for him, you might as well be wishing Boba was staying dead along with a couple of other certain characters.

This game is probably the most true-to-the-roots Star Wars game I’ve played in quite some time. The bugs suck yeah but that’s a whole different discussion about the actual performance. Otherwise, this series is exactly what gaming Star Wars fans wanted. It’s delivered in almost every way. The slight Dark Souls style makes it feel like you’re actually a Jedi. And the progression of the series makes you feel like you’re legitimately becoming a Jedi Master. EA gets their fair share of shit but they seemed to legitimately listen to fans about the actual direction of a video game for once
