After tasting the local cheeses, Gordon decided to whip up his take on the classic grilled cheese sandwich complete with homemade kimchi. No one will call you an idiot sandwich after making this!

Like that Asiago cheese looks like it's a cheese to eat cold, like appetizers (no idea why he thought he should mix it with another random cheese and deep fry it). I don't know but i've never seen someone eat kimchi on a cold appetizer. Maybe i'm wrong and it's good

Nah, its pretty good. But, you gotta shred the cheese and kimchi then mix it up. Otherwise you'll have a lack of structure and the bread will slide around.
it can be done nicely if he put more thought into it. kimchi better chopped to small pieces and sauteed. So, they are warm and won't fall out when eat. And, there should be another meat like pork belly, chicken or even just spam. Cheese should be thinner and cook on top of meat or kimchi. But, then, that is not simple grilled cheese as he intended. Anyone want to half ass, don't try to be creative.

Gordon's recipe step by step:
1. Go to the supermarket and buy the 2 of the thickest loaves of bread possible, do not slice the bread make sure it is thick
2. Buy 4 blocks of cheese, also the thicker the better and also make sure they have some weird name and they are 40 years old
3. Assemble: Get 1 loaf of bread and stack the 4 cheese blocks on top, add a handful of kimchi and put the other loaf of bread on top
4. Put a 1L bottle of Olive Oil in a pan by the fireplace and burn the bread (The Cheese Should not be even remotely melted)
5. Act all proud you spent $300, 000 on a burnt slice of bread with a COLD block of cheese in the middle
6. Enjoy, Oh wait SORRY this is GROSS and will make you have nausea
7. Run to the bathroom and vomit rapidly

Bro's being like Jamie Oliver 2.0
Step 1) Cut the bread loaf in thirds and throw away 1/3 of the loaf.
Step 2) Add pickled vegetables to a grilled cheese sandwich because you can’t make what you advertised- a grilled cheese sandwich,
Step 3) Place 2 different cheeses on both slices of bread and flip it so both different tasting cheeses are ontop of eachother, so one half of the sandwich tastes totally different to the other, instead of mixing the tastes evenly,
Step 4) Make sure you put your hands all over it. This is the secret. Puff and sweat over a grilled cheese and put all of that on the bread,
Step 5) Don’t use a Panini Press.
You have to use a fireplace that isn’t designed for cooking, to bring drama, but most importantly ensure you have to stand over it, continuing to press down on your lunch with rags while burning the bread and not melting the cheese.
And then you have it- the worst toasted cheese sandwich ever made, done better by every 10 year old with a panini press.
What an epic fail, and you still posted it.

Yeah that's what truly baffles me about this video. Was he pressed for time or something? I wish he would make a video addressing why he messed up the simplest dish imaginable so hard and then proceeded to pretend it was fine and post the video of him making it. Is he ok? Haha I guess this is what happens when he doesn't have anyone around that cares enough to tell him he shouldn't upload stuff like this, since he was away from his family shooting for a show in this clip. The cameraman and crew were probably being yes men telling him "Looks great!" and stuff and he just rolled with it.
