I am crocheting a graphgan pillow for the first time and I have been looking at UA-cam beginner tutorials on graphgans. After reviewing many tutorials Yours is the Best! I finally feel confident starting my pillow after watching your video. Thank You so much for sharing.
how do you handle a situation where the color change for a row occurs 2 or three stitches before the color change in the previous row - i.e. you have a longer float?
I am so glad that i found your video.i have been struggling doing color changes and getting them to look neater.can you do a video on how to do graphgans and how you drop your yarn if you are working on the front and backside rows and also do videos on other stitches like hdc and dc and also how to change colors in those stitches and rows.
Learning how to follow a graph & changing colors, you do not have stragglers? What about front and back changing colors? Thank you for this video.I am attempting a 1994 pattern Gingham Roses Afghan.
hi i understand about doing the three colors in the middle of the row. now the pattern asks me to use a a different color for one row. how do i keep my three different color correct. do i have to cut them . i am doing the almost preppy plaid afghan. i do like your video.
I had a look at the photo of the pattern, I think personally I would cut before those horizonal stripes. After the first one you could probably float it up the back but I would worry that would get caught on things.
I was using a new ball for every color. Not specifically plastic bobbins for this project because it was small but I would have done for a larger project!
Do you know how to foundation single crochet? I might try that for a first row in multiple colors. In either case just make your last yo of your last stitch in the new color, keep all your tails to the wrong side.
If you are making a specific pattern usually they tell you. If you are designing your own thing, you can decide which is the right side and then just be consistent!
Link to the pattern I used in this video is here - hookedforlifepublishing.com/2018/03/purple-plaid-afghan-square/
What a great trick! Thank you for showing this...I love learning new methods.

I will put that topic on my list thank you.
Thank you! That was extremely helpful.
Awesome tutorial! How would you go about having to do one stitch and immediately going to a different color?
Thank you sooo much ! 😍
May our Lord Jesus bless you dear. Amen ❤
This is genius!!! Thank you for the video!
Thanks!
Awesome, thank you. 😊❤️
You did this with sc. Can this same technique be done with dc?
Tyvm for the easy to follow instructions. Would a double crochet invisible float be the same concept. 🧶
I will be honest and say I haven't tried it with double crochet - I should!
Wow....Stripes stripes stripes...no more.Thank you.

Can you do a video where you hide your floats after you do 2 stitches with the old color.

I will have to look into that!
Excellent !
Thanks for this ❤
Amazing... is this the same way to do all stitches changes?
Honestly it works on taller stitches at the top of the stitch so it isn’t quite as invisible!
Thank you will have to try ... wait do you have a video to show how to hide color changes?
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!

Are you using bobbins?

how do i start from the beginning since i have to use three colors per row.

Thank you this helps so much
I wish i saw this video 3 weeks ago. I'm doing it wrong in the project I'm making now. Thanks now I know what to do in the future.
Just be consistent in the project you are doing and it will all work out :-)
Would this work in doing sc graphghans
I believe it will.
How do you know wrong side from right side?
If you are making a specific pattern usually they tell you. If you are designing your own thing, you can decide which is the right side and then just be consistent!
