This is a great mute! Extremely adjustable giving a vast palette of colors. It does make a passable straight mute, in a pinch. I use mine as a practice mute every day and its literally the best practice must I've found. For the price, there is no reason that every trumpeter should not have a Denis Wick Adjustable Cup Mute in their bag of tricks!! You sound great!
Great video helped me get my mutes and I will always stick with Denis Wick. Great manufacturer and great quality. I love my straight mute 5504 and I can't wait to get some more, especially a Harmon mute
