    Great player, but the pinkie in the ring (right hand) really bothered me...

      Why is that? Most players have their pinky in the ring, it's just a preference

      @@trumpetplayerdude9838 playing with your pinky in the ring is not a sin, but the ring was designed to provide support when moving the instrument or doing miscellaneous things during performance like changing mutes etc. . Playing with your pinky in the ring constricts the movement in the fingers when actuating the valves and can cause the player to press the valves at an odd angle if not careful which will lead to additional wear on the valves.
      Again, not an offense, just not really considered proper I guess?
