HOW COULD U POSSIBLY CANCEL THIS SHOW?? It's one of my favorite shows *of all time.* If it's because of the pandemic, then just put it on pause. Don't cancel your best show...Are you guys insane? I would rather you cancel ANY other show on CC.
I agree wholeheartedly. Way too good to go out this way. A show of this quality has got to get picked up by one of the big streaming services. Let's hope so at least. Best Cleopatra and Joan of Arc, EVER.

Pretty much everything else on comedy central is trash. That's probably why they're canceling it. The show doesn't fit for the target main audience that comedy central has built up
@@2GoatsInATrenchCoat Like Adult Swim. 20 years ago it was amazing stuff. And then gradually it became more and more lowest common denominator, cheapest-to-animate trash.
@@melissasaint3283 Adult Swim's animations have a much higher production quality on average now than when the network began. However, Aqua Teen Hunger force, from season 1 in 2000 until its end, was animated entirely in Adobe After Effects and had more soul than almost anything made by AS these days. Venture Bros and Superjail are the exceptions and had quality hand-drawn animation especially for the early days of Adult Swim, but most of the stuff on the network was _very_ low budget back then (12 ounce mouse, perfect hair forever, Space Ghost, etc.). I'm pretty sure Venture Bros and Superjail were cancelled specifically because it costed so much to animate every episode.
Now Rick and Morty, Mr. Pickles, and other bland cookie-cutter cartoons and shows are all Adult Swim has to offer and they are becoming mainstream and lame. AS lost what made it crazy and new in the first place and it seems like it's becoming Comedy Central's little brother as opposed to its own unique thing. Ballmastrz actually is pretty good though and I hope it keeps going, but still doesn't have animation as good as Superjail sadly.
Honestly after Adult Swim cancelled their most popular show in years, World Peace, I had a feeling the network would inevitably decline

It's amazing to be reminded that Edgar Allen Poe wasn't famous during his lifetime when he has become so timeless!
I think if I didn't knew the others of his literary circles, and the connection to lines like that of Lovecraft and Albert Acher before (or some such guy,same long drafting athmosfear writing, with no cause, smile, a scale, wrong.. which is why it is even more horrible..Because, everything in current narrative is horrible, wrong. faceless. Ruling with thousand souls..) Poe inspired, or the moments of life those best of Poe (to me) was written, would I even .. Weird, stories are tied to stories of snakes and stories.and us and dreams, -thoughts run my head wildly hardly leaving a mark, yet .. we have said the rest of our mind will handle the rest.. But think of stories, good, positive stories, Where the underdog wins, evil is human yet unity wins..can't harm have the collective narratives even an ounce to insanity.. :-D Bear with me, I wrote that in a manic burst, and was about to delete it. But maybe if you people know some manics, imagine your brain suddenly going off-track, hijacking your body. Hope this gives understanding. As I assure you I am quite , well insane but u know, not.. Go to work and live a normal life mental disease, bipolar disorder. Usually I would have deleted, but sometimes I just don't give a fck. :-) all good!

So, Kirsten Dunst (Agatha Christie) and Jesse Plemons (the police investigator), (and as Edgar Allan Poe), are married in real life. And are currently in an amazingly intense movie called Power of the Dog (2021) as husband and wife. The movie also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, and an actor you've probably seen a dozen times in other movies but won't recognize in this one, Kodi Smit-McPhee. Just sharing a bit of fun trivia.
From a series of skits on Funny or Die to Comedy Central, Drunk History really did well for itself. I hope they find a new home for it as there are still more stories to tell.

I highly recommend the book about Roald Dahl's time in America as a British Spy trying to help get America into WW2. It's called "The Irregulars"

From the post I learn that this has been cancelled. THAT SUCKS! I just discovered Drunk History. I'm a history major in college. This was great! Combined 2 things I love, history and drinking.
Roald Dahl also wrote Matilda. I loved that. It was also the first full book I read in Spanish when I learned. ☺️
We can only hope Hulu or Netflix will pick this show back up.

Drunk History videos teach me more about these people than high school did.
Jennifer Coots Drunk History reminds me of when my dad would tell me historical anecdotes. He would put the little bit of human quirks and foibles that drunk history does. Things like that make you want to read more about something and realize that current events are just history happening in real time. Although we don’t really know behind the scenes stuff until decades later.

The Bit were Roals Dahl Crashes and the does fly is a bit missleading. The crash occured on 19 September 1940, when flying a Gloster Gladiator. By Aptil 1941 he was Fit and flying Hawker Hurricanes. In Greece. One of only 18 RAF aircraft in Greece. When the Germans invaded Greece. On the 15th of April he shoot down a JU 88. On the 16th of April he shoot down a JU 88. On the 20th of April during the Battle of Athens the remaing 12 Hurricanes attack upto 150 German Aircraft, a mix of JU 87 and JU 88 with cover from Bf 109 and Bf 110, He was given a cradit of a kill. In May a Vichy Potez 630 and on the 15 June 1941 a JU 88. It was only after this was he invalided back home, when his headaches became to much. So he was a Fighter Ace, Spy, Author.

I do not like vocal fry or people who do not know of Dorothy L. Sayers. That said, many of my fondest memories = reading Agatha Christie with my Gram, and I still have almost all of Agatha's books (she was prolific!) And I love her personal mystery
