I was at this gig, the 2nd night. Absolutely fantastic night! Johnny was top form as always. Everytime Johnny comes on stage, he lights up the whole room. I have never been so captivated or mesmerised by anyone in my life! Sending love to John and Nora xx
Dear John, again a track really gets me! This makes so emotional inside! Thank you for your music! All these years, I'm 46 from the 🇳🇱 Netherlands I was brought up with punk and other British music! Love you John always! Respect for all people around you too! Hugs and strength for your situation right now , blessings to your sweet beautiful wife Nora 🇬🇧
This is the greatest song Lydon has written since the ´Commercial Zone ` years ( even though some of the later stuff has grown on me over the years ) ...
I agree. This is a true return to form. I liked a few songs from 'Album', 'Happy?', and '9', but nowhere near as much as I love this. This song is something I can really immerse myself into, like I did (and still do) with the Wobble/Levene material. Just brilliant.
@@Brewzerr Absolutely!.Word I might be looking for is ´maturity ` .Lu ´s evolution as a guitarist/musician in general is remarkable . He is not living under any past members´s shadow any longer as far as I hear it . And that is quite the statement since Levene and McGeoch are probably the greatest punk guitarists out there ... well, I would add thers like Colin Newman too ... you know what I mean anyways .
@@saraivatoledo1842 Oh yes. Lu has definitely put his stamp on PiL's legacy. Longest lasting PiL band member (besides Lydon himself, obviously). He has proven to be essential to PiL, and worthy of sharing the same level of respect as Levene and McGeoch.
@@Brewzerr Indeed . @@saraivatoledo1842 Oh yes. Martin Atkins was crucial to lending a distinctly unique sound to PiL during his time with them. "This Is What You Want..." was never my favorite album, but that's no fault of Atkins. I much prefer "Commercial Zone", which was also Atkins and was essentially the original recording of that album. I also enjoyed his work with Pigface and Killing Joke.
i think he is great as well but look at previous pil gigs and how he is on stage but if you look at him now performing wise he don't give off much energy... but that is probably the style of the songs

Or it might have something to do with the fact that he's in his 50's here. Aging happens.
@@Brewzerr Lol I know right. What a dumb kid
i like pil and i like john lydon ... but so far in this tour he seems a bit tamed
