So much negativity in the comments. For someone in his late fifties his voice is still as strong as ever and he is putting in the effort. Anyone who can do a better job get up on stage I am all ears. I might add the musicionship is top notch too !

I bought my brother the metal box album in 1981 from a London market. I was just 13 years old, we used to listen to it together, then some 'are sole' broke into his flat in Newport South Wales and stole his system with the second vinyl still on the deck. I went to see John at a place in Cardiff about 4 years ago. My brother passed away about 6 months before I went to see PIL. Every second I was there was a memory of my brother, thanks to the friend who bought me the ticket as a birthday present, and thanks John for making me dance non stop for the duration of his fantastic show.

Thanks so much for posting all of this, utterly superb. Saw them last night (June 2018) at tiny gig in Frome, the Cheese & Grain. JL's voice so very strong, and the bass & drums were just brilliant. A hot and sticky night in a small venue, it took me right back to the 70s.

@@twistedspanner I've only really checked PIL out this year.
God knows why. Just one of them ones that gets forgotten.
My view is that I'm an idiot and have missed out.
Musically they were way ahead of there time. And just better than the pistols hands down.
Not as iconic but what ever will be more iconic than never mind the bollocks but still they were pushing boundaries. It gives lydon a lot more of a legendary status in my opinion.
"Poptones" is my personal favourite but there's a lot of quality throughout every album.
Why did it take me so long to check em out. Only God will know. Hahah

I saw this gig from the front of the crowd at the barrier. The highlight of the Glastonbury weekend for me. Open Up brought a lump to my throat when the synth bass kicked in, unbelievable and Brilliant! Security presence increased when PIL came on, but the gig was calm and fantastic.

Thought this two might be useful: set list and lineup:
This Is Not a Love Song
    Reggie Song
    Warrior
    One Drop
    Death Disco
    Public Image
    Rise
    Open Up
    (Leftfield cover)
(note; lineup below is taken from official PIL site, but from another show - the one opening the tour, Glastonbury was same month, so I suppose lineup is the same. Sorry, I just don't know half of current lineup, really forgot about the band many years and lineups ago. Anyway it was fun to watch this gig, so thanks for sharing it!)
    lineup:
John Lydon - After fronting the Sex Pistols, John Lydon formed Public Image Ltd in 1978. Outside of PiL John has released several solo records and collaborations. He also brings quality TV to the masses.
Lu Edmonds - Multi instrumentalist and former guitarist in The Damned Lu joined PiL in 1986 recording and playing on the album Happy? and co-writing the album ‘9’ adding yet another dimension to the PiL sound.
Bruce Smith - Former drummer in The Pop Group and The Slits became percussionist for PiL also in 1986 playing and recording on the albums Happy? and ‘9’. Seen as a drumming virtuoso, Bruce Smith brought his unique style into the fold.
Scott Firth - A bass player/multi instrumentalist that has collaborated and played with a variety of top musicians and bands including Steve Winwood, John Martyn, Elvis Costello, and The Spice Girls. Scott’s arrival into the band in 2009 resulted in John Lydon declaring him “Genius at work!”
