I love this machine, and I have a ton of the Zaccaria tables and all of the Gottlieb tables, but I don't think I will buy the Zen packs until they fix the lag issue. It isn't as bad as some people like to say, but it's enough to make the tables less fun than they should be.
The lag is minimal, and obviously judging by some of those monster high scores on the leader boards it can be dealt with, but it's still there. Meh, they'll get a handle on it sooner then later. Firmware update scheduled for the end of the month, hopefully we'll see some improvements then!
🖖 STNG was the ONLY pin I ever cared about In my youth because I was such a fan of the show from 87 to 94. My best friend's Dad has the original STNG pin and it's so iconic. I look forward to your review of the STNG download pack you said is coming 🖖
Your videos are WELL DONE, sir. Which did you like more? Attack from Mars or Star Trek Kelvin Timeline??? I am on the fence about which THEMED 4K game to buy from Legends. Attack From Mars, or Star Trek. Honestly the only Star Trek game I care about is the Kelvin Edition w/Chris Pine. But I love ATFM also! And the art work on both is bad ass :)
Depends, I suppose, on if there's ever going to be a ST:TNG cab coming! AFM the vastly superior table of course, but if a TREK themed cab sparks more joy, go for it! I'd be more inclined to get the Trek cab if it had the Stern version on it (I freakin' love that pin). So for all those reasons, I'd probably be more inclined to snag the AFM skin (and it is awesomely emulated, so a win-win).
@@evilgeniusentertainment You 're so right. I cant get away from the beautiful art work on ATFM and the Kelvin Time Line is nice....but I WANT the Stern version. Wish I woulda bought the real ST Kelvin machine 2 years ago when I found 1 for $5K...now they all seem to be $10K ; / Thanks for helping me - I'm in on the ATFM. Have tried the Twilight Zone yet? Another top 10 of everybody's!
@@evilgeniusentertainment I like seeing them custom painted, as they can be painted any way you want. And some people have got custom made glass cuts added to the marquee and playfield.
Never thought about the painting possibilities... that is a cool option. I'm having glass cut for one of my 1/4 scale pinballs - I'm guessing it will help the effect quite a bit...
My AFM table is great. All the Zen games play fine to me. The "Lag" is being compared to analog tables that are at least 3 times expensive or more. Don't know how fair that is. I'm happy with the product.

I agree on the apron mode but the sound is what really puts it down for me. The haptic is buzzy due to the mixing (common issue with Zen) and the music (which is fantastic) is so quiet. Such a shame because it seems like such an easy fix. Worth the purchase, I give it a 7.5 Gameplay:B Visuals: A Sound : C- As always fantastic review.
Thanks for checking it out! I get the feeling a lot of time was spent optimizing for the hardware at the expense of fine tuning the play experience. I hope Zen/AG continue to keep updating these games to make them even better.....

I own the Snoopy PInball 4k machine and I LOVE it. I own all the tables and all play perfectly except for the Zen studios tables. They just aren't fun the way they are with the flipper lag. I realize its not a ton of delay, but in pinball where you have to make very quick reflex moves, any amount of lag kills you. It makes it impossible to make accurate shots. I wish Zen would stop working on new tables and focus on fixing the ones they have released already.
The lag is minimal on the ST tables. You can see in the video where I'm doing decently well in multiball; that would have been impossible with the original level of lag on ADDAMS FAMILY.
Let's see if the next sale is better than the last, I might buy for my 4K. I'm still upset that my Legends Pinball HD machine still has an error when I try to play any purchased game.
@evilgeniusentertainment I did, and they replied with a link where they had announced that it was an issue and is being addressed. That was weeks ago, and I'm still getting the error.
They’re not the greatest tables, but I definitely recommend getting all the tables that become available for this machine. And they will get better over time as the flipper lag issue is resolved and more tables become available!
Like the video, but IMO besides the first movie with Chris Pine and Enterprise, all those shows and movies sucked something stanky. Also, Unreal Engine 5 is NOT an ARM friendly engine. The 3588 does not have the GPU ceiling without serious compromises.
I think DS9 has it's fans... I always thought it "borrowed" a bit too much from BABYLON 5, but still watchable (unlike VOYAGER). The games are decent, middle of the road, Zen games. The huge amount of dead space on the screen is still my biggest complaint (even on my 42" screen the ball is small).

I have to agree that "Discovery" is not up to usual Star Trek standards -- and it's also the worse of the NuTrek shows. (Which is one of the reasons it's ending in 5 weeks.). But it did spinoff "Strange New Worlds" which I adore; and it has had a smattering of entertaining eps here and there (perhaps two or three per season); so I've been "hanging in there" on it. I sorta' wish they would do "Legacy" next (sequel to "Picard") rather than this "Starfleet Academy" series; but I can certainly understand why Paramount+ wants some younger-skewing demographics for Star Trek; and "Academy" should be able to deliver that. There is a rumor that Paramount may be licensing "Legacy" to Amazon -- depending on how their Skydance/Sony/Peacock talks end up. Oh -- as to the Pinball: Still haven't decided to pull the trigger on the new AtGames 4K; but it's probably happening this week with the AFM theme. If this had been a ST:TNG-themed machine it would have been a "no brainer". What a wasted opportunity!!! Live Long and Prosper! 🖖
Interesting point... They can't put out skins for all the Zen tables, but you'd think that if they can get the license for it, it's a no brainer. Alternatively, if they can't get the OG art they might be able to do an updated version. It'll be interesting to see what they do as it's a such a popular pin.

I will say this - it's a bit odd to come out with the other TREK themed table before the TNG version, as there's no overwhelming demand for the original Zen Trek tables. It does make you wonder if that's b/c there will be no TNG cab coming. That said, you'd think there will be TNG skins from 3rd parties if AG doesn't make one themselves.

My two guesses are that either they're not planning to do a TNG, or they had a deal on those three imaginary tables and wanted to capture impulsive people (at a higher profit) first. Then, they'll scoop up those Star Trek people who held out for TNG. I'm sure licensing a TNG skin would cost them a lot more than the mess they made for the Star Trek that's out.
Are you guys at all interested in this game pack? $15 not a bad price for them IMO....
I don't own the hardware, but I enjoy these reviews just to find out what it can do now. Thinking of building my own table but not sure yet.
buystuffarcade has some sweet new "tweener" builds for getting into DIY vpin. It's not easy, but is rewarding once it's all up and running,

My fav pack so far from Zen and Atgames, really crushing on Kelvin Timeline leaderboards. I think they play the best of the zen tables too.
Flipper lag is very minor - lag of apron mode a bigger issue.....
