I can’t believe that you do this, for work and living. It’s amazing what you do for the world, to make food on people’s. Dinner tables without farmers, we would starve and die. So I appreciate and thank you, for doing farming in our country. I couldn’t be more grateful for that,

Yup we say the flinch lol. Someone has a guilty conscience lol. Little jumpy.
Dibs looked like he was chasing sky raisins lol.
That was a spike in moisture!!! Can happen in spring wheat.
Winter wheat is planted in the late fall and matures theought the winter. Spring wheat is planted in late winter and matures through the spring. Both are harvested in summer or very early fall.
BTW the 88 looks good no matter what it does. Bobtail, pulling combine, pulling tractor and cart, or hauling seed it just looks good!
Hope yall have some fun in the down time.

I just discovered your channel & I love it! You bring back so many memories of my days on the farm in Indiana way back in the 60's. I worked for a farmer from my church during my teen years. I drove an old John Deere "B" two cylinder tractor, an old JD "A" & mostly a JD 4020, which I loved. Years later, I drove a JD 4840 to chisel plow & furrow plowed with a JD 4850 with front wheel assist. My, how far farming technology has come! Thank you for showing how auto-steering & other advanced technologies work. It is fascinating to watch. God bless you & your family (it's really cool how your Mom drives a combine, too)! Stay safe!🙂

We're in SW Nebraska just in mountain time zone a couple of miles and finished wheat harvest about a a week ago, most days hubby would stop around 9:30 - 10:00 pm. It might depend how far east you are, it's a dryer climate in western Nebraska than it is in the eastern part of the state. God bless and stay safe.

We have had that moisture issue with corn and beans going to elevator too. Especially corn because we plant earlier varieties ours is almost always several points drier than everyone else, yet sometimes we get an odd load that is wetter than everything else . I assume your elevator has a probe that takes their sample. We have kinda come to the conclusion that sometimes all the sample from the previous person gets hung up in the probe and then comes out when the next load is probed. With the little amount they take it doesn’t take much to raise a sample a point or more . Of course elevator says that’s not happening , but when all the other loads are about the same from same variety and same field and you get one oddball you kinda wonder.

Great video, welcome to the north, sounds like you like it up here. You can't argue moisture with a government certified moisture tester. Get you a Dicke- John tester, thier real accurate. See you next time. John T.

Looks like that wheat was planted with an old style seed drill. Tbe rows are tiny and narrow. And it looks like it’s short of fertilizer. But at least it’s not full of weeds.
