Sorry you had such a trying day, Hayden. So glad your mom's combine didn't catch fire & no one was hurt. It looks like your 2 dogs get along with each other in the cab. Thanks for another great video. Hope you have a better day tomorrow!😊
Great respect for the farmer's religious beliefs. Hate to say it like this, but when in Rome... I am not a farmer nor have I worked on a farm. Your videos have truly been educational. Thank you.
Also, I would look at replacing that bearing. If by chance it got a little too hot, it is eventually going to go out and potentially cause a bigger problem with a fire. If it is a sealed bearing, it may have melted the seals out of it and is a ticking time bomb. If it is greaseable, the balls may have warped depending on how hot it actually got. Just to be on the safe side, I would replace it.
In regards to your receiver losing signal. We had the same thing happening. It ended up being the two way radio. Every time I held the mic down more than 10 seconds it would knock the signal out. I think we ended up swapping antennas or moving them. Hope you can get it figured out, it's a real pain when it doesn't work.
@@henrivanbemmel It's been playing havoc with my GPS all week. This weekend was supposed to be a big hit. Yes, it should have effected all the combines.
Great to go harvesting with you while sitting on the couch with a beer. :);). Ah ha. Those reel fingers do pick up lodged crop well. Nice one. Steve. New Zealand Wheat farmer.
I understand the frustration with technology, but at last in your orbit you can get someone on the phone who will help and if necessary come and fix it. Most of us have no service at all and have to figure it out ourselves, buy a new one (ie hitting it) or do without. That's what is really frustrating for me, is the cheap tech we buy that actually starts to help our lives and then it fails.
Hayden, I wonder if you might share how this year has gone vis a vis 'problems' compared to other years. I can't see you doing a season without breakdowns and weather issues.

Don’t be sorry, everyone has bad days!

I hope you got autosteer working ? Great video. so glad your mom is ok and so was the combine.. thank you Hayden
Why do you have to be out of the field before sundown?
OOOOOHH that's those giant wind generators in West Texas, no?
Like you said "Computers are great when they work but are truly a pain when they don't ". Glad your moms combine is ok.
You might be able to get an antenna booster. Also, we are having solar storms which are screwing with the GPS satelites.
Perhaps, but wouldn't that affect all the combines?

Another day, another field, another video. Combines and the smell of smoke are one of my worst fears.
Good vidio what bread are your dogs
How many more acres do you have left? The wheat looks great this year.
OMG I hate those grain carts driving around with their auger out / up , asking for trouble , ....ask me how I know !!!
i think its time to change to some Claas and new Holland Combines
No dealer support in the areas we cut

Time for the x9 bigger cab for more dogs
Isn’t it bad to put water on a gear for a belt and make the bearings sieze
I poured water on the pulley not the bearing, the bearing is down the shaft behind the pulley

Thank you for sharing and keeping it real. Everyone has breakdowns and problems, its all part of the deal. John T 😊😊
Does the condition of the crop affect your custom harvesting fee because it takes longer to finish a field and move on to your next customer ?
Sometimes your the windshield and sometimes your the bug keep up the good work Hayden thanks for taking s along
Great work
Great videos, awesome with so many harvesters… all that is missing is some drone footage 💪🏼🤔
Currently in the process of teaching dad how to fly
😂 excellent job. My two boys watch the videos while playing with their toy tractors and harvester. Great education for them
You ruled out the receiver antenna. It could very well be your main unit is failing
I've heard that from other farmers. And they expect you to pay each fix.
If the harvest thing doesn't work out, you can start a doggy daycare😂
how many a res does the farmer have in grain?what town is close to him?
It is refreshing to watch this after a long tractor drive
You can't please everyone all the time 😊
That sucks all the problems your crew has...but it's like what you titled this video!

How much land does this farmer farm?
How big is your grain cart?
Ours is 1,000 bu and the farmers is a 2,000 bu
Out by sundown? Why is that? Is this a thing down there?
He explained in previous video that for religious reasons they never work on Saturday at this farm. I presume it's an extension of that.
@@medduck sounded like this was everyday here.
You are correct.
Your mom didn’t know it was plugged?
