Bravo! What a wonderful mix of skills for DIY! (a) Solid state electronics, (b) color temperature physics of daylight vs incandescent vs LED narrow spectrums, (c) implied video color correction theory & practice, and (d) ability to edit down a detailed DIY project into an easy to follow visual story! Well done! Hope we can see future similar theme projects! Almost any TV station or video production shop needs your skills for odd or special projects! Hope you are doing consulting. Consulting clients often generate odd questions or have crazy situations that generate great ideas for new projects -- especially for skilled and creative minds like yours. Many thanks for hard work!!

Nice one! I plan to use 2 stips along the shelf above my work space! Will it be enough (no of strips!)

Yeah should be, get a strip on which LED's are arranged more densely. Like 144 per metre

Would you be able to share a mod for just one dimmer. I would just like to use one type of strip.

Hey it is pretty much the same circuit, you'll just have to use the NE555 timer instead of the 556.
The 556 has two timers in it and I've basically duplicated the dimmer circuit

Hey dude, wires are too thin!!!! They can't handle the current.

It's actually works fine, since it is a PWM current signal peak current is never drawn continuously. Also these are stranded copper wires and not solid core.
