Hi there, what do you think of the radio now you're some way down the line with it? I've had a Uniden 3500xlt but it's very complicated. Had the 125 and that was ok. Just prefer a desktop. Opinion? Laurence
In house long antenna as diamond srh telescopic with articulated joint or little desktop discone but Is better and external like discone (i use diamond 130 and for me works well) that works well in a lot of bands or diamond x50 or longer as x 300 that works better on radioham but not bad for large band frequencies reception at least two or three meters above the roof or on top of the TV (are very light antennas no problems for Wind) antenna pole, using a low dispersion cable suitable for UHF like 5020 Belden of you have fm broadcast near you may have problems in that way you can put and external notch filter 88-108 band, these antennas works well over 50 MHz as beginner can be a good way but there are a lot of antennas ( i have 3 for high band One for Cb band and One for low bands) if you need a good rx antenna under 30 mhz diamond t2fd Is ok (terminated folded dipole) have fun and 7351😜

I found this to be very confusing. To a regular scanner.
Like any device there is alot to learn
Week to listen to. I have tested it. Lack of numeric keypad. Poor modulation for air band. Voice beneath the box
Get a better antenna
Yes. Theg good Antena is what I Don't possess. But I am on favour of U-125XLT.
Do You recommend new version UBCDN 160???
