I was big into the scanning scene from the mid 90s right upto about 8 years ago and then everything went digital. I’ve had a TX1 and a 3600 but sold them and have no receivers now. I have an intermediate licence snd just use my 2/70 handhelds for airband , 446 etc. I have had all sorts of top end receivers over the years.

In the 90s I had several Realistic models, my favourite of which was the pro 2006 - cost me £249.99 reduced from £349.99 around 1990...(which I have just spotted in your video lol) I used to get everything on them all over the city. Nowadays, you may as well use a large shell to your ear as opposed to paying out for the likes of the above.

I'm using the UBCD3600XLT There's still a lot of open stuff out here. Shame it's all going down the pan soon will be just stuck with the amateurs or the bin men lol. I was thinking of upgrading to an sds100E but maybe it's not worth it now

Thanks for the explanation, thinking about buying but is it worth it if there aren’t many transmitting?
