My son can hear me listening to your videos all the time. Whenever he hears the first UA-cam ad he says " well hey guys!" In the same tone you do lol. He is 11 and I am getting him into the habit of sunscreen everyday. He will definitely thank me later. Thank you so much for all of your information ! You're the best !
I used the Peter Thomas Roth product quite a few years ago. It worked well, but you had to be careful with trying to use any concealer or foundation, as that would moisten the PTR product and make my under eyes puff out again. I started to use a "mineral/powder concealer. That worked better, but there was learning curve in applying the concealer and the tightener. Apply too much pressure, and you'll "break" the tightening product.
That! That’s the question I haven’t been able to get answered! Does the product “break.” My most concern is when smiling. Does it break when your cheeks lift. I’m getting some in the mail today, so we’ll see.
@@lindabeebe7065 I only used it under my eyes. No moistureizer at all. I blended it out to the tops of my cheeks. I only used mineral concealer, as a liquid would have broken the bonds of the product and I would be back where I was without it.
I tried the Plexiderm and I couldn't believe how well it worked. I literally and instantly looked 20 years younger. The downside is that you can't use any skincare products on your face prior to applying it (including sunscreen), and you can't wear any makeup over it or the seal will break. Bottom line, you have to make a choice.
My husband uses the Plexiderm product almost daily, to help with eyebags. His are not terrible, but they are mostly genetic, from his father, and has had them all his life. In the past year or so, he has had 3 Morpheus treatments around the eyebags to help with tightening and collagen production there. It is helping the appearance of his bags!
I've tried this and it works. I must tell you I've used this for the smile lines to keep my makeup from creasing. I love you, Dr Dray! You always bring science and research into the skincare discussion.
For under eye skin wrinkles, dryness and darkness, the Cerave Resurfacing Retinol serum (3x/wk) and their Moisturizing Cream (nightly) really helped, by restoring my cheek's volume and glowiness after just 2 years. Plus sunscreen daily! Nothing complicated, I only stuck with 4-5 skin products. Note, I did not apply the retinol on my eyelid skin, but by applying on my cheeks, it somehow also lifted my sagging under eye skin, making them more smooth and bright.
This is great info, thank you! I will look into the Cerave serum & cream. I recently started using their body soap & I really like it. The Eucerin Adavanced Repair Cream is good too & can be used on the face according to the Eucerin folks (I phoned them & asked). My under eye festoons are the worst!
@@phillyjilly Yes, before, I did have shallowness in my under eye area, and also texture/volume loss concerns on my cheeks too. I want to say our cheek's skin tone & volume significantly drives and affects the appearance of our under eye area. I apply 1 pump of the CV retinol all over my face, except for my eyelid/under eye skin area. Following up with a generous layer of CV moisturizing cream all over my face including my eyelid and under eye area. Stay consistent, stay disciplined, keep simple and sun protection are key! Good luck!
I use it, but without makeup and moisturize after taking it off. It works wonders. Less is better and it can be watered down. I also use the face firming gel mixed with moisturizer/ sunscreen daily. Holds less time but doesn’t dry. My under eyes are always puffy and always bother me, but this completely reduces it.
And... I left a comment about this product but I can 100% testify that she is right about puffiness being less when you lie on your back. I had bags pretty bad for several years. Just recently I had a rotator cuff repair which forced me to sleep on my back and my bags are gone... I hate sleeping on my back but I like that my bags are gone.
Once I fall asleep on a sofa and there I could not really turn , so I slept in my back - and yes, next morning my eye bags were much less. Now I really force myself to sleep on a back. and each morning I also do face massage . It really helps .
Just a comment that malar festoons may not be only because aging and sun exposure. They are often genetic. I got mine from my dad. They are bags that are more towards the upper cheek area. They are almost like 2ndary bags. So in addition to undereye bags, there can be festoons, more toward upper cheeks. As much as I know, there is no way to get rid of them other than plastic surgery. I actually do not mind my festoons. They are part of my face and give it a character. :D
I have been intrigued by these products because the skin under my eyes is the only thing that bugs me. I trust your analysis so thank you for this video. Also, you look stunning today! That lip color is gorgeous!
Licensed esthetician, here... I'm an LBA/MUA for Sephora. The eye formula and face formula are *the same thing!* If you purchase it, get the one for the face. It's $10 more, but you get 2.4 oz more! You do get to test it in-store, so you can try before you buy. 😊
Yes, the PTR product does work and it lasts all day but it is very drying and can be irritating so I use a very light water- based moisturizer under my eyes first then let it dry completely. The product then will not be so drying. Thank you, Dr Dray, for shedding information on this product.
They had similar products in the early 80's. I am sure they have improved but there is a reason they never caught on. When it wears off the wrinkles look SO much worse, and it dries out the under eye area to the point I think it does more damage. Young people, use sunscreen and do not cry too much.
omg thankyou, I was so convinced to buy this but then I'm like.......drying out my eyes, will make my eyes even older! why would anyone dry out their eyes on purpose like that!
I’ve used the PTR firmX. It works but sometimes makes my lines appear more obvious depending on how hydrated I am. I had Sephora make me a free sample of it. They’ll do it if you ask. The other downside to this product is that you can’t apply makeup over it
It’s a great product! But you have to learn a few tricks. I have a wide flat brush that I use.I make sure my face is clean and I keep it a bit moist under my eyes..then I squeeze a pea size amount of product on the back of my hand.then I use my brush to load up the product evenly on the brush. I apply, take care to distribute evenly, and feathering at the edges. Then I close my eyes and tilt my head back for a minute or two, trying to let gravity help me along.if there are any white edges then you haven’t spread it thin enough.keep practicing and you will get really good at applying, and honestly it tightens and lifts so that I don’t need concealer…I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
What's funny is that for many years I used 'eye creams' believing that they were somehow better for the eye area being lighter weight in texture or had some magical ingredient to fix eye bags. 🙄 The truth is they all irritated my eyes to some extent and since using just my regular moisturizer around my eyes, my skin there looks better and less puffy. 🥰
I had tried this when my eyes were super puffy. It felt like a film on top of my skin. I wasn’t sure how I was going to wear makeup over it. Then I felt a POP! And one eye had been so puffy, the product couldn’t hold it 😂 I also decided I really want my concealer so I returned it. But it does work. I just had super super puffy eyes from allergies.
The Roth product works well. I use it quite a bit and the 38.00 tube has lasted me well over 2 yrs and still fresh and viable. So, relatively inexpensive. The Plexiderm only kept my eye flattened for about an hour...hated it!
I use the PTR product and yes it works! A little goes a very long way so the $38 is relative. I don’t wear make up so that isn’t an issue but I do notice that some moisturizers and sunscreen will cause discoloration so I use this first… I apply very sparingly with a damp eyeshadow brush
First of all thank you for all the videos you make and all the wonderful information you freely impart. Being someone who gives most things a go and are, more usually than not, disappointed, I tried this not expecting anything. Wow, the results for me are amazing. I only use it for special occasions and/or photographs as I think, for myself, it would be too drying to use everyday as I initially found out. Having had an amazing result I went to town on it, used too much too often. Did what I shouldn’t and rubbed it off (yes, I know I should know better🤦🏼♀️😂) and got irritation. For me and my very (over 60) baggy eyes, I use a tiny, tiny bit on clean, dry skin and it works amazingly. Smooth under eyes, bags gone. I don’t put makeup over the top of it as my under eyes look so good I don’t need too. Good luck to everyone else who tries it. I hope you get as good a result as I do.,Thanks again Dr Dray.
@@SERD52 I just use a minute amount. I find if I use too much I also get a white film and some crustiness. I start with the tiniest amount, see how that goes and if necessary add more. Easier to add than take away. May find it easier to put on with a small brush. Even though I make sure my under eyes are totally dry and cream free when I use it, I moisturise them well the night before so they aren’t dehydrated. Hope that helps. Good Luck!
@@DrDrayzday Hi doc, Im about start using Retin-A for ageing skin issues. Ive read its best for fine lines, wrinkles & age spots. Could I possibly see improvements in festooning? Thanks
@@SERD52 I have the same problem. I love the Peter Thomas Roth serum but when it dries I see a white film under my eyes. Quite visible. I find that if I use a little less serum it’s not too bad.
I use Instant Ageless and it works great , but i have to put it on after I put makeup on. Once you get it on and you put something over it, it just destroys the tightening effect. I have used Plexaderm also and it works the same way. I haven't used this one, although I do use Peter Roth Thomas FIRMX tightening product for the whole face and it awesome too !!
Hi Dr. Dray, First of all, I want to thank you for all your amazing videos! You have helped me so much:). I have used both of these products, and the Peter Thomas Roth is better in my opinion. It works great but be careful of the white cast it can leave if you use too much. I just have minor under eye bags and see improvement. Have a great day 🙂
LOVE the Peter Thomas Roth stuff. Biggest thing to manage is that it doesn't interact well with moisturizer, sunscreen or anything else, it flakes up white if you aren't VERY careful.
Decades or even centuries ago women got the same effect using egg white. There are many brands making a sodium silicate product like this. I have the Australian version, Eyesential. It works very well on my hereditary puffy eye bags. In fact I wish it had been around when I was a teenager and getting bullied. The secret is to use a very small amount and don't put makeup on top. I don't use foundation anyway, just strategically placed concealer and tinted BB cream. I don't use it every day. It's great for days when you're going to have your photo taken.
I use this and the face product, I actually just had plasma pen so my under eye bags are about 75% improved. You need to shake this product well, I use a tiny amount on the eye bag, gently patting for 5/6 seconds then stop… and don’t move lol. No smiling or anything until completely dry. I have found that this only plays well with powder concealer/brightener and foundation. Thankfully I don’t have dark circles so I can just leave the skin relatively clear of makeup in that area. It is drying, I don’t use this every day. The face product is best used in specific areas, 11’s - forehead lines- heavily textured area- large pores. You will need to use a powder foundation with the face product too.
I'm an avid fan of Dr. Dray... I have almost all kinds of facial issues name it I have it.... I thought it will help me ease my problem by watching and trying her advice the problem is those products she suggests to use are not available in my country. Dr. Dray keeps on looking younger, lovelier, prettier... Ay the years go by...I love you Dr.
Yay! I’ve been hoping you would review this. I bought the PTR product a few weeks ago. I applied a tiny amount and I was blown away by the results. I literally look 10 years younger when I use it. I was worried that it might be somehow hurting my skin because it seemed too good to be true so I’m glad to hear your review.
I used this on my lids and looked so good. Also on my num 1 line in forehead! Murad has wrinkle corrector that says instant and longterm as well! Sold out on sephora!!
@@lesliegallagher2682 i didnt try makeup but on qvc. They show ppl use this on facial expression s not just eyes. they do say makeup after! Maybe buy it from qvc cuz always free returns and easy pymts lol
I used the PTR one and had great results. I haven't tried concealer over it but I actually don't have dark under eyes, just dreadful bags at 68. Mine wore off slowly through the day so gently you couldn't tell. I need to try it with foundation (not over the PTR) to see how it looks with a face of makeup and no concealer. I'm all for this. Thanks for the video because now I can try the Plexiderm, too, and compare.
I have tried both and they do tighten but very difficult for makeup wearer's to get it to look good...yet alone flawless. I gave the plexiderm to my husband. I think it's great for men because they aren't applying concealer. So when we go out i make him put it on to remove his bags lol!
"I gave the plexiderm to my husband....". LMFAO....So he tried both, & the plexi beats the PTR ? Im about to buy one of them for my bags. How many hours will it last?
@@MasterArmedforces Seriously...if you want something that actually made a difference, and I only discovered 4 days ago on Dr. Penn Smith channel.. It's "La Riche Redermic eye cream"!! ..OMG ...I'm 57 and I totally notice the puff under my eyes GONE! My concealer looks smooth..and I feel way more confident looking at someone when talking knowing my undereye look better! The plexiderm & PTR really work best for men OR women that don't wear make-up.
Well, the last thing I want is anything that dries out my undereye area any more than it already is. Thanks so much for the review. I've wondered how these products actually worked. Happy Tuesday, Dr Dray! Hope you have a relaxing evening. 💖
This works great! I would get the one from the drugstore. It's not a permanent drying and I don't use it every single day. I use it a lot to entertain my friends.. i put it on and hit it with cool air from my hair dryer and it looks like I have preformed magic.
Physicians Formula had a concealer about 20 years ago. One of the ingredients was GABA. It shrunk my bags and got rid of my dark purple circles for the day. It worked for approximately 12/13 hours. I used it a few days in a row, then I’d use it every other day. I WISH they’d bring it back.
I've always had bags, even as a teenager, and so glad products like this exists. I've never tried the mentioned products but do use Dr. Brandt's no more baggage. It works. Can leave a white residue but easily fixed. Product stays on all day until washed off. Always looking for a more improved version but am happy with results. (Prep H does not work!) Thanks for your videos!
Ive seen videos where the Prep-H works but it has to be the one from Canada which still contains the FDA banned ingredient here in the U.S., and it has to be the "cream" version...not the ointment or the other version
@julio santana if it leaves white residue then your applying too much. Dab the white with a lil water..comes off. I found a product about 6 months ago that works the best hands down. I use it everyday. (Westmore)
Dr. Dray, thank you for your honest assessment of these products. I have tried the Peter Thomas Roth eye treatment. It works for me and helps the puffiness under my eyes, but like others mention, I have been unsuccessful in applying any kind of makeup/skin care product over or under it. Unfortunately the bags under my eyes are mostly genetic, and I've had them for many years. I'm 70 now. I scar easily and have developed keloids in various areas in the past, so not sure if I'd do well with under eyelid surgery.
Mine are genetic to had them all my life but now my eyelids are hood it from age so thinking about having the surgery done on both now since I must get them for the top
@@Portia620 I had to have eye lid surgery and I keloid as well and my surgeon told me that people don’t keloid in the eye 👁 area because it is a deferent type of skin then below your head or ears 👂🏾 due to the healing process. I did fine with my eye lid being cut across open and stitched to heal and I usually always keloid bad from every surgery. I even have to end up having steroid injections to get rid of them because they look so bad.
Thank you for this video. I have the Peter T Roth and it does work... temporarily. It is tightening and does slightly lighten the darkness. However, you have to pat it a tiny bit, and I mean tiny. Otherwise, there's a chalky residue after drying. Also, any foundation/sunscreen needs to be PATTED on in the under eye area. Otherwise, everything pills off, which a mess to have under your eyes. PTR suggests mixing it with your foundation, but haven't tried that yet. Don't know if I'll repurchase after this tube runs out. But it does work well for the Zoom meetings so prevalent these last couple yrs! LOL Thanks again, Dr. Dray.
I have used plexiderm and it dried out my under eyes horribly (I have dry skin to begin with). My dad used it and didn’t notice a huge difference in his under eye bags (he bought it for his under eye bags and I tried it to smooth fine lines under my eyes thinking it might work.)
I’ve had excellent results with Plexaderm, using primer around my eyes but no moisturizer and letting the primer dry for about 45 minutes before applying Plexaderm. It lasts all day, removes darkness as well, and takes 20 years off my face. I just purchased the PTR version and look forward to comparing. BTW, I moisturize the eye area heavily at night.
@@slushpuppie19 They are quite similar, but the PTR is easier to use and more economical. I now put on all of my eye makeup and let it set for at least 30 minutes. Then I put on the very lightest film of PTR. It doesn’t last as long as on bare skin, but it’s good for 5-6 hours. And it covers dark circles so well that I need minimal concealer underneath. I have terrible bags, so getting rid of them makes an enormous difference in my overall appearance. So now my eyes get moisturizer, then primer, color corrector and after setting for 30 minutes or more, the longer the better, the PTR on the top.
I don't use any products under it and it lasts until I wash it off. I may start using an eye cream under it though as my eyes are getting a little irritated with continued use.
@@Fresh_Baked_Bread_Is_Life Yes, it’s definitely drying, which is how it works-it sucks the moisture out of the bags. That’s why I must moisturize first, although by the end of the day, my eye area is drying out and cracking. Eventually I turn back into a pumpkin.
The local CVS has something called Sudden Change. I bought this for my grandma. Worked on her dark circles but not sure how it wud do under makeup, since she uses the bare minimum. HugsfromNYC 🍎
Been trying to find this product . Ised to b avail in Walgreens seem to b off the market in my neck of the woods. worked better than PTR and less $$$ but left a cast as well but u def felt the tightening.
I have this product and use it. Everyone's results will be different so you have to experiment with it. I use a moisturizer under it, let it dry. Then I apply it only in areas that I want to flatten. But it takes practice. It does also have grey cast on olive or darker skin.
I have genetic under eye bags and sags that nothing helps relieve. I did use the Philip Thomas Roth product for my husbands school reunion, though, & it did work & made me feel less ancient. Lol I forgot I had it! I need to use it again 😀
I tried this PTR eye product and face product over 5 years ago. As an actual user of this product and someone who actually wears makeup, I completely disagree with Dr Dray. YOU CAN NOT WEAR MAKEUP SUCCESSFULLY OR EASILY OVER THIS PRODUCT. At best you could apply a dry powder product but it will look crusty dry. It is tricky to apply and it can only go on clean dry skin. If you apply too much, it gives odd white marks when it dries. You can't put an eye cream or SPF under or over it. In order for this product to work, it must stay dry. I gave it away to a male friend who loves it because he doesn't wear makeup. If you don't wear any makeup, you bought like this. I don't have any idea why dray would say she recommends this for people who wear makeup. If you put a concealer over this it will wet the film and it stops working.
I had the same experience with Plexiderm. It’s fine if you put no other product under your eyes- any moisture or product reverses the result. This also applies to No more Baggage.
@AGibsonJ Same experience I had. I have even heard of some trying to mix it in with their concealer and then tapping it on. It looked like special effects latex makeup that way on me and aged me 20 years when it dried. If you are fortunate enough to have a great completion without makeup and no discolorations under your eyes, than it might work for you. My guy friend loves it as he never even uses eye cream so it doesn't interfere with anything. Not even an SPF around his eyes.
I’m surprised she didn’t mention anything about preparation h. I know it’s not good for people to use on their under eyes but a lot of people still do it and swear by it. I’d love to see you talk about this if you haven’t already.
Ive seen videos where the Prep-H works but it has to be the one from Canada which still contains the FDA banned ingredient here in the U.S., and it has to be the "cream" version...not the ointment or the other version
@@gracejanedostou7595 I didnt, but you would likely need to get it from someone who lives there and can physically go get it at the pharmacy, because although there are Canadian online pharmacies with good reviews, Id be reluctant that I may be getting a knock-off which isnt genuine. After a bunch of research I found Plexaderm and tried their sample size(cheap). I can say this: it definitely worked for me, but I dont know how it would translate on a womans face with foundation, base..etc make-up. But theres a bunch of vids here on YT with female reviews.
I wouldn't recommend it . BOJ doesn't sell that sunscreen in Korea so as to avoid regulations and proper government testing. They're definitely hiding something.
@@mansa_p I think they do sell it in Korea? I’ve seen a lot of Korean influencers (living in Korea) using it. Can you share where you got that info? (Genuinely curious…not suggesting you are misinformed, just curious because it would be really disingenuous for Korean influencers to promote a product not sold in Korea). Thanks!
Look for a youtube channel called Babble, they have a short video featuring a lady demonstrating 3 simple facial "yoga exercise" for strenthening facial muscle that helps tightensling.
I'm 46-years-old now. I am leaving a comment because I have used once. My mother has a friend who uses it regularly, she's in her 80's and had a full facelift about 5 years ago. Anyway, she had given my mother the end of one of her bottles when she got hers in the mail early. Having seen the results my mother saved it for my son's wedding day so we could both use it for that day specifically. I inherited the bags under my eyes from my mother, and also the hooded eyelids. (I know I didn't help any of that with my beach-going ways and tanning, and not moisturizing properly every day! Years back when I was about 30 I had an esthetician friend that tried to get me on a regular facial cleanser, exfoliate, and moisturizer. After months of me continually sluffing skin with no new beautiful soft skin under the stuffed off skin. Just more cracking and peeling almost to the point of bleeding around my nose and mouth. She finally figured out that I was allergic to any product that had "glycolic acid " in the active ingredients. Since then she put me in contact with the only companies that she knew of that had a whole line of products specifically for people with an allergy to "glycolic acid". So that's been my facial routine ever since. I have tried a few eye creams over the years and came to realize that I can use some products that have glycol in them but it had to say (___ glycol) and so on but if it ever said the words specifically listed as (glycolic acid) listed, it always happened. Anyway, back to the Plexiderm. Well, the day of my son's wedding I applied it just like it said to. I'm here to tell you that it works just like those infomercials showed it did. 10 minutes later was looking more Oriental than my Scottish, blond hair/blue-eyed heritage that's strong in my blood. I had to wait another 10 minutes to even attempt to start putting my makeup on for the day! I looked great for about 5 hours and that's all I needed. The wedding and reception were over by then. So I fully admit it works and does exactly what it says it's supposed to. I also used it just the one time for a special occasion. Also knowing that there were no benefits for continued use of it. I did a great job on that day. Bur, I need something for daily use that will at least stop the progression of my aging eyes and face.
It’s the only thing that immediately gets rid of my eye bags which are severe at a young age. I don’t use it everyday but it’s a confidence boost when I’m out and about. It feels a bit uncomfortable but so is walking around looking crazy lol with huge bags. I have paid over $100 and more with no results and this $38 magic cream is a steal and the real deal.
I love the way you say Hi guys. You are so original in the way you say it. I too have a habit of saying it the way you do. However I say it to my dog since I live alone. Fantastic video thank you.

I just wanted to mention it because I really noticed how much this particular colour made your skin even more Glowing and Beautiful!!! 😊💖.P.S Love all your content , Calgary Canada
I like the concept here. I actually have these products.if you have dark skin there’s an extra barrier you will have to consider. You can feel the products once applied so it makes you feel as if others can see it. I would say to try one but don’t expect the results which have gone viral. And makeup application will need to modified or avoided
A lower blur plasty does not always help with festoons. In fact it may worsen them because it tightens the skin directly under the eye, but the festoons are on the eyelid, cheek junction.
I have tried the Plexaderm just to see what the hype was about. I'm 68 but have very few wrinkles. Unfortunately I'm not a good sleeper & have some bags. Plexade did not work for me. It's VERY drying & you are not supposed to put any product on your skin prior to application. That AND you can't apply makeup over it either. So it's not for me! I can just imagine all these guys picking up a "hot chick" aka a 10 & waking up with a 2! Lol! And you do look nice today!
I have the under eye bag problem, and it ticks me off to no end, (How dare you make me look my age. :)) In addition to being only temporary, I was told that it's difficult to apply makeup over Plexiderm. FYI, Plexiderm is advertised at $75 over the internet, so it's obviously more expensive. I've tried various color correcting/coverup techniques, and I was able to cover up one eye bag, but not the other. (I'm still experimenting. :)) I'm going to need cataract surgery, and, even with medicare paying 80%, it's going to be a strain on the budget of someone with a Social Security check of $1200 a month. I'm guessing that the malar festoon surgery costs more, and isn't covered by Medicare.
Medicare should def pay whole thing for our eyes!!! Ughhh. Check out the murad new one called wrinkle correcter! Says temp and longterm!! Im tryna find a sample LOL❤ goodluck w surgery 🙏💯
Dr dray, I tried using Urea cream under my eyes, it helped the fine wrinkles but Can you make a video about it being safe or not to use under the eyes?
Would you agree that retinol is good for the eye skin as long as plenty of moisturizer is used and that any irritation that may occur is temporary and the main thing we are looking for is long term collagen production regardless of temporary irritation (which we can minimize with moisturizer)?
CDR 0 seconds ago Hi Dr. Dray, I have an unusual problem. I'm 72 and never really had an under eye bag problem because I learned about sleeping with your head slightly elevated ( I use 3 pillows) to prevent fluids draining into your eyes. Recently, my major problem was dark circles. So, I used one of the many eye bags serums/creams touted online for eye bags, dark circles.etc.Well, product gave me eye bags!!!! This happened last month. Since then, I've tried other eye bag products to reverse the problem. No success! I even went natural, using coffee grounds, green and black tea bags, olive oil, witch hazel, etc. Again, no success! I don't think an undereye tightener is what I need. Do you think Derma E might help??? I desperately need your expert advice. I don't want to make bad situation worse. Thank you!
I bought the Peter Thomas Roth product this week……..I am having a terrible reaction!!! 😳😬😫 I have VERY red eyes the morning after I have used it!!! I do wash it off every night. It does have parabens………I don’t know what I am reacting to but I am NOT going to continue using it………it does work……..it is probably not going to work for me long term because I am so sensitive to so many products. I’m disappointed but I am glad that I learned this. I’m bummed!!! But, I will live and learn.🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I got the PlexaDerm for my bf he’s 49. And he loves it. Wears it when we go out. It’s completely gone now lol... he can get two uses in one packet that’s supposed to be used for one use. He gets two out of it. Sometimes I’ll notice he didn’t rub it in enough and it will dry n get flaky but as long as you use the product correctly you should have no problem. Right now I trying their nighttime PlexaDerm moisturizer for nighttime. Not sure if it works that well. 🤷♀️
I just tried the Peter Thomas and I can tell it is a good one. It really works and smooth the puffy eyes away, but the it contains some strong substances in it that irritates my skin. It burns my skin under my eyes and it bothers me a lot. I returned it and definitely won’t use again.
I use the PTR face firming. It does make a difference but it’s a tricky product to apply. The tightening effect reminds me of putting Elmer’s glue on you hand. It’s a weird feeling.
I have used both ,plexaderm for me seems to work better but BOTH leave a white film on the areas you apply them ,no matter how sparse I use ,I always have this white film ,apply the ingredients to some moisturizer to prevent this film would be great
I did purchase a sample from Plexiderm. Worked well for me, but the info states it works best alone. I took that too mean it didn’t play well with anything, even sunscreen. And, I wasn’t sure whether to try it after applying sunscreen or prior. The sample had 5 uses, and I didn’t want to waste it trying it out with other face products. Maybe I will just bite the bullet, buy it and experiment.

@@ironfist458 we gotta protect your beautiful melaninated skin as well! ❤️
Thx for the input! I’ve put off trying this.
Ptr or plexaderm?
it works in the smile lines??? really???
Can i ask if it helped the shallowness under eye area? Mine look a lil hollow lately in 40s ugh lol🤪🤪❤ did u put it under eyes or just cheeks??
@@phillyjilly
Yes, before, I did have shallowness in my under eye area, and also texture/volume loss concerns on my cheeks too.
Good luck!
It took 2 years to notice results?!

I use it, but without makeup and moisturize after taking it off. It works wonders. Less is better and it can be watered down. I also use the face firming gel mixed with moisturizer/ sunscreen daily. Holds less time but doesn’t dry. My under eyes are always puffy and always bother me, but this completely reduces it.
what is the face firming gel?
Great comment! Sleeping positions really do effect the face and back sleeping while not easy to get use to really helps the facial skin and jaw line.
Once I fall asleep on a sofa and there I could not really turn , so I slept in my back - and yes, next morning my eye bags were much less. Now I really force myself to sleep on a back. and each morning I also do face massage . It really helps .
How do you do it though??? I just cant sleep on my back!!
I completely agree! You look terrific - the lip colour is really great on you!

Yes, the PTR product does work and it lasts all day but it is very drying and can be irritating so I use a very light water- based moisturizer under my eyes first then let it dry completely. The product then will not be so drying. Thank you, Dr Dray, for shedding information on this product.
Hi, what moisturizer do you use with this?
They had similar products in the early 80's. I am sure they have improved but there is a reason they never caught on. When it wears off the wrinkles look SO much worse, and it dries out the under eye area to the point I think it does more damage. Young people, use sunscreen and do not cry too much.
these home prices are making us cry a whole lot :(
@@rponce1119 yes💯
You better believe every word Tracey Trotter says. Not only does it dry out the skin but stretches it out causing loss of elasticity. 0 out of 10.
Been crying buckets....now I'm paying for it : (
omg thankyou, I was so convinced to buy this but then I'm like.......drying out my eyes, will make my eyes even older! why would anyone dry out their eyes on purpose like that!
I’ve used the PTR firmX. It works but sometimes makes my lines appear more obvious depending on how hydrated I am. I had Sephora make me a free sample of it. They’ll do it if you ask.
The other downside to this product is that you can’t apply makeup over it
I love this product! I’ve used it for a couple of years. I always use it over my moisturizer and get just enough blurring of fine lines.
Surgery is the only thing that works, I have tried everything nothing works.
😂
The Roth product works well. I use it quite a bit and the 38.00 tube has lasted me well over 2 yrs and still fresh and viable. So, relatively inexpensive. The Plexiderm only kept my eye flattened for about an hour...hated it!
I use the PTR product and yes it works! A little goes a very long way so the $38 is relative. I don’t wear make up so that isn’t an issue but I do notice that some moisturizers and sunscreen will cause discoloration so I use this first… I apply very sparingly with a damp eyeshadow brush
It works ! Read the instructions, use a thin thin layer, use small brush to apply. And it is Temporary tighten the puffiness.
Your skin looks flawless. You’re so fortunate not to have any age spots or freckling or crepey skin under your eye. Love your lip color as well.

I use PTR product for years. It works. I like to use Elf Camo concealer under it. It’s water proof ish, I think. So it isn’t disturbed by the product.
Do you apply PTR first then followed by the Elf Camo concealer?

How do you keep it from having a white film on it after it dries? I have some but it leaves a film.
Good Luck!

Have a great day 🙂
Thanks for sharing
Over the couple of years I have watched you, your skin, and face have become prettier everyday.

Hi Dr Dray, what sunscreen are u wearing in this video? Ur skin looks amazing and glowy ❤️
How do you fix the white residue?
@julio santana if it leaves white residue then your applying too much. Dab the white with a lil water..comes off. I found a product about 6 months ago that works the best hands down. I use it everyday. (Westmore)
Yay!! Something for my Chanel bags under my eyes. 🥰

I did try one of these. It worked well but about an hour later it looked very crusty. I ended up just washing it off.
Also, many makeup artists use cold spoons under & around the eyes to alleviate swelling before applying makeup.
Dray.
I’ve tried mixing it, but I think it makes it fairly ineffective. I just can’t get it to work with makeup at all.
Just have to say..You are glowing, your skin ,your face , you are soo healthy and beautiful 😍
What do you think, how do they compare?
@@dragonfly656 oh interesting that you use it on top of your product! Thanks for letting me know how you use it and that it works for you! 😃

@Kris R so that was 5 years ago? Perhaps they’ve changed up ingredients?
@@Jade_902 NOPE. I reordered it again recently as a gift for my friend and it was the same.

Great information as always Dr. Dray! Have a great day everyone. 😀

which one
I love the way you say Hi guys. You are so original in the way you say it. I too have a habit of saying it the way you do. However I say it to my dog since I live alone. Fantastic video thank you.
Sodium Silicate is a substance used in pottery to produce a crackle effect to wet pottery that's been stretched prior to firing. I cannot image that this effect is good for my skin for any kind of long term use. Opinion of ONE.
I've tried the Peter Thomas Roth product and it did not work well with makeup. I felt it made my undereye makeup concealer look darker and patchy
Unrelated but had to tell you that is the best colour I have ever seen on you, it compliments your skin so much !!! 😁👍I am thinking you could be a winter looking amazing in all dark bright colors . Red with blue undertones, royal blue , fuchsia to name a few. That's if you have blue veins, meaning cool tone . Not saying your interested, or needed my comment.
Thanks for covering this product -- I have been curious about it. 😎💖
I'm going to need cataract surgery, and, even with medicare paying 80%, it's going to be a strain on the budget of someone with a Social Security check of $1200 a month.
You look stunning with that lip color way to go Doc! 👩🏻🦰❤️
Would you agree that retinol is good for the eye skin as long as plenty of moisturizer is used and that any irritation that may occur is temporary and the main thing we are looking for is long term collagen production regardless of temporary irritation (which we can minimize with moisturizer)?
She's probably addressed that in other eye videos like, how to get rid of under eye wrinkles or 8 tips for younger looking eyes.

Hi Dr. Thank you!
Happy Tuesday Dr Dray!
Happy Tuesday
I bought the Peter Thomas Roth product this week……..I am having a terrible reaction!!!
😳😬😫
I have VERY red eyes the morning after I have used it!!!
Happy Tuesday, Dr. Dray 😊🤍🎀🌸
Greetings Maricel Gundayao hope u r well n Happy Tuesday😀👍💜….
Happy Tuesday
@@whitneybrown4067 Hello 👋
This stuff is amazing. It actually works, been using a long time.
Which one? She talked about two products ,right?
As one would figure, your complexion is gorgeous
I just tried the Peter Thomas and I can tell it is a good one. It really works and smooth the puffy eyes away, but the it contains some strong substances in it that irritates my skin. It burns my skin under my eyes and it bothers me a lot. I returned it and definitely won’t use again.
it felt like you saw my under eye and decided to do this video.. lol thanks for this!!
I use the PTR face firming. It does make a difference but it’s a tricky product to apply. The tightening effect reminds me of putting Elmer’s glue on you hand. It’s a weird feeling.
Ugh. Beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful. Triple threat gal... Thank you, Dr. Dray. That violet is divine against your skin.
I have used both ,plexaderm for me seems to work better but BOTH leave a white film on the areas you apply them ,no matter how sparse I use ,I always have this white film ,apply the ingredients to some moisturizer to prevent this film would be great
I tried Sudden Change which is basically the same thing. I made my wrinkles worse when I smile
Hi Dr. Dray! Have you ever done a video about the opposite issue? I'm not sure what it's called but maybe concave under eyes?
Hollow
You do look stunning today and your lip color is beautiful! Could you list the brand and color.
Happy Tuesday Dr Dray and everybody 😊💜👍
