Gloria, so beautiful at 80 years old!
Yes ! Healthy diet I think !
OMG, that necklace that Gloria Swanson is wearing is everything !!
She slayed with style all her life.
That’s how you can tell that it’s a pre-recorded track they are lip-synching to because that mic would have picked up a bunch of noise from the necklace.
She was such a fashion icon !
A few of the men featured also spent a certain amount of time thinking about men! HA HA!
MovieJon lol! The truth!
Ha !!!
..Richard Chamberlain would AGREE!! ...ha-HAA! >menmenMENMENMEN
Boin! You are absolutely right!
...ha-HAAAA, Gloria's eyes glaze over, when she hits John Ritter; she's like,
'MEN..MEN...Men-- Men-- Me...who ARE these Men!?' (1:33)...ha-HAAA!! : )
I wasn't given enough rehearsal time.
Gloria Swanson was wonderful.
If Gloria Swanson darkened her hair, she would look even younger than she already did. Even at 80, she was still stunning.
Disagree. She looks elegant with her gray hair.
She was an early proponent of vegetarianism and it worked for her, she was sharp as a tack and looked really good for her age.
If I make to that age I'm dying my hair pink and be a cotton candy granny
@@beyourself2444I’m not so sure the vegetarianism worked for her, as she died just a few years later of a heart problem. She certainly looks great though! Probably from cutting out all that sugar and being careful about her diet and quitting smoking.
@@thomase13 she had been a heavy smoker for decades before she got into her health phase so that I am sure probably had something to do with it.
Wow, Gloria and Brooke!
LOL Can you imagine Gigi Hadid, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Eva Marie Saint coming together on network TV and singing a song together in 2018, particularly some old Broadway classic that probably Eden and Shields don't even remember from their youth. That's pretty much the modern day equivalent of what this was back then (A gorgeous young model/actress, a comedic sitcom star, and a grande dame of American cinema) these 3 women had absolutely nothing in common with each other besides working in the entertainment industry and here they are carolling together. The madness of mid-20th century broadcasting.
this is very 80s. lol what a very unexpected cast; having Gloria and Brooke on
I wonder if Brooke Shields did, or was able to, appreciate the legend of Gloria Swanson during the taping of this performance?
Gloria Swanson looks younger and prettier in this 1980s tv special than she did in the 50s playing on an episode of WML. Incredible how diet and healthy living reverse and slow down the aging process. I know she became a health nut early (and i say that with the utmost respect) because she's 81 here. Born Mar 27, 1899. She was very into growing her own food and eating a clean diet. She also fasted,
To be fair, she looked amazing during the filming of Sunset Boulevard in 1950. She looked so good that they had to light her to create shadows on her face to make her look older. She looked so good that, during filming, that they had to work at making her look less good...
I am big. It's the pictures that got small.
The visual of men for Gloria I think was incorrectly played for Barbara Eden, and vice versa.
It depends on who they liked, but some of those people were too old for Brooke Sheilds.
Age is just a number 😂😂😂
Right I was like what is her (Gloria) men going to be Thomas Paine Abe Lincoln ?!?!
It should have included man of Gloria's era. Like Valentino or Wallace Reed. Makes more sense
Alan loved this. Anything with Gloria Swanson is great. Please post more. Thanks again.
Oh my gosh!!! That's sweet and gorgeous!!! I don't think I've ever seen this wonderful 2 minute and change video with 'The legendary Gloria Swanson, the Gorgeous Barbara Eden, and, the Gorgeous Brooke Shields'!!! 😍😍😍 It must have originally aired on television, back in the late 1970's!!!
I'll go 'One step further'!!! Let's have 'An hour long comedy variety special soon, on one of the television networks, with 'The two survivors of that great musical video', that being 'Barbara Eden and Brooke Shields' telling Us the People, what they 'Think about men'!!! 😀😃😄
Barbara Eden had a very impressive singing voice.
...and we think about beautiful and talented women like them! :D
PRICELESS !!... By now of course!:-)
Good god! Thanks for uploading!
That was lovely ❣️
I L.O.V.E men😉❤️❤️❤️
My, was this the last time we celebrated men? I appreciate them...🤔❤💕🌹😘
My gosh how can Brooke shields be that exquisite, I mean it she’s the most exquisite looking person I’ve ever seen in Hollywood!!!
She's 15 here.
What the fuck is this? Gloria Swanson looks amazing, she's 80 here! I guess that's what no sugar and no 'poison food' does for you.
Joshua Taylor thinking the same
I never realized how beautiful she was. This prompted me to look at her younger images. She was a tiny thing too.
Gloria waving the carnation around is so cute and funny
Wow she was singing til the 80s!
So cute these famous actresses thinking of the perfect man !
*HOLY GUACAMOLE!!!*
Jayne Kennedy and Marilyn McCoo were gorgeous!
My theme song when I'm on Grindr
I love the dress Brooke is wearing😊❤️
Brook's eyebrows don't seem to be as outrageous as I thought they were.
Brooke, Mark Hamill 😍🥰
The modern equivalent of this would probably be something like Jane Fonda Reese Witherspoon and zendaya. However if someone said I look up to men all hell would break loose LOL so they would probably have to do some reworking of the lyrics.
I miss the way America was!!!
Brooke shields was only 15 when she did this.
Yes, 15 going on 35. She was much sinned against in her childhood.
@@mpaxton8991 15 looking like a 15 year old...
And Gloria Swanson was 81! Neither of them look their age.
I hate to be mean, but did Brooke Shields even know who Cole Porter was then?
Probably not. I do not know who that is.
@@Michelle-pn9xt He was the popular songwriter who wrote NIGHT AND DAY, I"VE GOT YOU UNDER MY SKIN, WUNDERBAR, ANYTHING GOES, BEGIN THE BEGUINE, I GET A KICK OUT OF YOU, and many other famous songs. He died in 1964 aged 73.
She's actually was a very smart girl, I'm sure she knew who Cole Porter was. I know who CP was and I was 3 when this aired...
Who’s that at 1:55?
Gloria was like she probably who chose these men 😂😂
I’m sorry but the men Brooke was thinking about we’re ugly
Prince Charles? Are you kidding Barbara Eden? C'MON MAN!
Gloria Swanson just looks like, err, nahhh I don't think so
😂😂
What do I think about men? ...
I think that's the very face of disappointment
Little did Brooke know, she would end up having a rather complicated relationship with Michael Jackson.
I think they were in love at some point early on, but Michael’s lifestyle and “Peter Pan” way of living just couldn’t handle a serious relationship.
@Human Being “Penchant for boys”
You actually believe he molested boys? LOL
Brooke used MJ for publicity.
@@thankthelord4536 The “face of the 80’s”, and a top model/sex symbol by the age of 15….needed more publicity???
In several books about the KOP, they mentioned how much Janet didn't like Brooke back then, she would call her giraffe and cow behind her back. I think one book mentioned that MJ thought she was nice but pushy. I think Brooke liked Michael more than he liked her, or at least he tried to make it seem like that was the case and they both used each other for publicity so it was an even trade... Lol. It's great to look back at life back then, such a different time...
...
Oh man. This would go over like a lead balloon with the wokesters.
Who is the vapid sounding airhead who offers her two cents, “men are more open and honest, and woman are more open and honest”?
Poor Barbara Eden sure has lousy taste in men!
Cringe
How stoopid!
Don't you think about men?
Gloria looked bored. I can see why. Maybe she needed the money?
No, it was to show the world O wasn't dead and they need to stop eating so much sugar and maybe they'd be able to get on a show and sing with the pretty young thing of the day. You could even see me reading the key cards with the lyrics on them without even wearing glasses. Health is wealth.
Brooke had no business thinking about any man at her young age.
When I was 15 I thought about women all the time im sure girls are the same way
This reduces women to puppets
