I love the hairstyles of the women hanging out with Steve Martin in Dave's office! People love making fun of the fashions and hairstyles in the Eighties, but I thought they were fabulous! Dave was such a good host to watch on TV back then...so relaxed and witty with his guests.
In 1984, $12 a week was a pretty decent allowance for a 19 year old, if your basic expenses were already covered. Hard to believe today!
She was at Princeton and Jody Foster was at Yale at the same time!

Amazing how she said people used to show up at her dorm room door unannounced from all over the country. I'm around her age and back then there were no locks or security in dormitories. You could just stroll into any one you wanted whenever you felt like it. I have a couple kids in college now and when I tell them that they can't believe it. Shows how much our world has changed.

Wow! David Letterman did a lot on Late Night TV back in the day. Steve Martin really wanted to have a party. Also, $12 a week for Brooke Shields!? That's almost minimum wage now.
