I just bought a 2020 model with 7,000 kms. Fantastic! It’s got the Termignoni slip ons, I keep the baffles in and it has a nice note. Coming from a bevel drive 900 the power is incredible.
Iv done 22500 on my 1200s ,, 22000 on curent motor , project bike from factory that had the same top end as troy bayliss , all titanium and a factory ducati racing ecu ,, 199 at the wheel
I will take an old fashioned street fighter approach over a naked still. Bikes should be sexy. I want some body work/fairings and I want the color I pick to show up on more than a little gas tank sized area. But I’m old fashioned. I love the monster, I just also think throwing bars on a sport bike can make lots of sense
Although as nakeds go v twins and v4 looks best by far. Italian and British nakeds look great even with p twins. Japanese nakeds have been hideous lately though. The z900RS cafe is an exception
This was supposed to be my next bike but Ducati pulled the plug on it 😢. I’m still a newish rider and currently on my second bike, taking my time and working my way up the power charts, and the Monster 1200 to me, is the perfect combination of classic good looks, road presence with amazing exhaust sound, and stupid quick for those spirited rides yet gives off those chill cruiser type vibes when you want to just take in the scenery on a beautiful day. Even if Ducati came out with a V4 Monster, I don’t think it’d carry the same sort of attitude and presence. I know I could buy used, but I’m not the sort to flip bikes often at all so I prefer to buy new and hold onto them longer than the average rider.
Because they are only making the 937 now. 2021 is when they introduced the new Monster design. Only a 937cc with 3 models sharing the same engine. I have the 937SP version and it is a beast of sorts. That said, a new 1200 would get my money. 2025 hints at a new Monster 1200 though.
@@itsmeericb that’s illegal. I have to fine you for clashing. you can either pay the fine or request a court date. For the latter you have to give me 2 weeks notice so I can buy a judge costume
i have this bike MY2017 in red with a Remus exhaust. Ducati short tail and Ducati Performance indicater. Removed rear food pegs replaced by Evotech exhaust holder. Weight reduction by Remus and Evotech holder about 7 Kg. The sound and power is unique despite of fuckin European Euro4 regulations cause Italy has somehow "special" release procedures. The destict i live has much curvy streets and mountains and thus itz fun to ride. Greetings from fuckin and insane shit hole Germany

Only thing I don’t like is that green light on the dash. I would constantly think I left the blinker on.
😂 I can see that

Yup yup... the 1200 S is one of the bikes I've had eye for since they were released.

I thought there was a newer 2023 version? Still a great bike if you can find one used. I’ve been on a lower cc model and the 1200 is a beast!
I'm looking for a 2021 monster 1200R in Thrilling Black, and I can't find any for sale nationwide. Why???
Good question 🤔

Man that’s a place most of us want to visit! Lol
I actually like the new look too. You?
Yes the new look is very nice! 👍
@@itsmeericb I don’t mind the shift away from trellis personally. 25 or so years…I think we can try something new a while
