I thought maybe the woman had dementia and couldn't remember that the old man was her husband, and was fully prepared to be sad at the end...but that was pretty nice
@@mileyardgigahertz I wonder why at the very end the subtitles say "What do you say, Jack?". Maybe they actually finally got married and the old man is Jack, or maybe she was also in love with Jack, so she named her son, the young man, Jack.
The start with the radio and cassette resonated with me so hard it's scary. I have a 9-year-old and just because I know she can't stand it I will start with "Back in my day" just for her reactions and every time it's worth it.
I used to think the same thing about writing as a child! I also thought that if you connected the lines that was cursive, so my parents have old “letters” from me in fancy “cursive” writing! 😂
seeing the cassette tape just brought me back to my childhood 😄 and the irritation of when a friend (or your sibling) had borrowed one and didn't rewind it after 😂
I fully thought and was prepared for the old man to have been her love but she died young, imortalized in the final painting he did of her. That things would become more abstract in the painting as he got dementia and that at the end, he'd add to the painting something like a door being opened behind her, then after the visual of his room changes since he died and maybe even someone new moved in, he'd appear in the painting at the open door so they'd be together again. But i like how the game turned out. It was a rollercoaster of emotion and understanding at the end
Never disappoints love the videos always laughing and relatable. Edit: ur really good at story time and painting red yellow and green and your resume is really nice!!
4:07 you might have missed it, being British, but that is not how you make coffee. you put a filter in, then if you have ground coffee you pour that in the filter in the coffee machine, but in the game you had whole beans, so you would put the beans into a coffee grinder (or a blender if you don't have a coffee grinder, but it won't turn out as good) and grind the coffee, then pour the ground coffee into the filter in the coffee machine. you then close the filter compartment and fill the water reservoir with water, roughly the same amount as you want coffee (some will be lost to steam and such) then wait as the coffee is heated up and sent through the filter and into the container. this is important stuff for a struggling artist, since they will have to work as a barista until they make it big, which could take a few decades unless they know the right couches to sit on (if you get my drift).
One of the factoids that I know about Studio Ghibli I know is that they make a point to just stop and show mundane every day life. You really get that same feel in this game. It really does feel the same.
0:51 the game is telling you to paint it wrong. the yellow had brush strokes up and down, hence why it looked like a wheat field, so you should be painting up and down instead of diagonal.
I think the old man is Jack, and it’s the story of his love for Amber, the woman in the painting. It’s all of the memories and emotions that went into making the painting of Amber that were the puzzles.
Thanks for reminding me about your song, I was having a bad day today then remembered that you uploaded a video and it made me feel better, thanks for your videos!! Always cheers me up 😁
I was expecting a MUCH darker twist, if I'm being completely honest. The lady being in a coma, or suffering from amnesia/alzheimer's, the old guy on the other building to be her lover and those being just memories he had from before she passed... I mean, I like the twist we got, it was wholesome and all, I was just unprepared.
Hello. First of all I really like your videos and I really hope to see this comment because I found a game thats really good. Its called oped ttd and its free on steam. Its an "open world" transport tycoon and since you were a highway engineer I thought you would like it. The game is from 94' but recives updates to this day. Hope you are having a wonderfull day
About your friends Delhi doctor, it’s not that you don’t go to the hospital and the doctor comes to you, it’s just an option where there are more doctors needed and less present, or it might be medical students getting their training( unlikely since their trainer wasn’t present ) or a new doctor who just got certified and is trying to get work. They might probably didn’t name the price because he knew the patient was an American who would assume the medical bill to be way higher than it should be and would overpay by a lot and in that way the doctor really isn’t scamming by naming a ridiculously high price.
The thing is that most architects will think she forgot about him ... That might be true but one essential detail is that the cat they found together had a kitten who's now an old cat and the man she met is also old and under treatment. Amber might have died along the way and now she's trying to put her memory fragments back together as a ghost ... Deep LORE Behind the Frame ; ) But Hey It's all just a Theory , A Game Theory ! Have a Good One .
so she is just a living painting in a museum that are destined to live in a repeating memory of a painter that lives in a small locked room forever without anyway to escape
Flight sim. is really long and realistic. a video of it would be really hard to edit and require some time. But had high hopes bro. Maybe he's doing it right now. best of luck
In regards to the doctor from abroad, tourists tend to not know the value of things in foreign areas. Asking them to just pay 'whatever they think it's worth' generally ends up with a pretty big profit, especially if they're helping them.
Music that gives me energy in the morning: falschirmjager bass beats remix(don’t understand a single word of it, but the beats are great), kickstart my heart remixed by dance with the dead, disco panzer, danger zone, 99 red balloons, ride of the valkyries, general quarters alarm, nuclear fallout siren, and the sounds of stukas dive bombing me. Best way to wake up a sound sleeper is to scare the crap out of yourself and make you think shit has hit the fan and you are under attack. Go from sawing logs to fully awake and alert in 30 seconds. Don’t do this, this is a joke and if you have heart problems, you could give yourself a heart attack waking up. Also don’t do this to someone else, they might wake up swinging. So if you decide to be a dumbass and do this to yourself or others, what happens is your own damn fault.
About the reversed J at 16:43 ... My fiancé had a brainfart moment a few years back where she read something and asked me what this reversed J was. I'm a bit confused and say ... L? We both laughed alot about that and she's never gonna live to forget it. I'll make sure :D
Interesting… love to see you playing other types of games. This one was beautiful… not as weird as Push to Play, but it had its weird moments for sure.
😂 ha the unabashed love of England with “Rule Britannia 🎵” love it. If RCE really wants to get his blood pumping in the morning He could play the Stars spangled banner 😁 such a glorious tune 🤣
This game had me reeling trying to figure out the story. Watching Matt just rip through it sprinkling knobs about, leaves me feeling a bit torn. It took me forever to figure out the door code!
One of the best videogame plot twists? Possibly!

I feel like I learned something here today…… nah I just had to fart
That's where I thought this was going when I played it.
The man was the first love,as you can see in the end,the woman has an entire families
This single comment saved my evening, have 3 minutes before video ends, thanks
I was thinking it was a life flashing before their eyes kinda deal.
9:02 the fact that Matt didn't see the strongest shape drawn by the cat is disappointing
I like how it took that woman FOUR days to paint four different colors on a painting she had already sketched out where to paint.
Me irl.
Dont question the skill of an artineer.
She can't even go to the store buy some more paint
If it helps, it takes about two days for oil paints to completely dry. One, if you're brave. Reference: I'm an artist. :v
I am always down for more "Matt with time story"
So the old man was Jack and she was the painting of his old love interest. Neat
@@mileyardgigahertz thank you for sharing this. It seemed like a wonderful game before but now it seems downright heartbreakingly beautiful.

Nothing better than coming home from a long day of engineering to watch RCE engineer the strongest shape 😌
This game would totally work with VR.
Imagine if it actually worked and I could for example think while scribbling and then the precise design or painting would appear.

You didn't just listen to the other side?

The styling of this game is super nice, thanks for showing it to us. I might pick it up myself
As an artist i can confirm that we all paint 3 lines on a painting and get distracted doing puzzles, making coffee and spying on people around us
This is gorgeous!
Matt's storytime probably explains more than we will ever know. Matt's personal growth at the end was special too!
That was so wholesome. Also the art style reminds me of Studio Ghibli.

Love how for the cassette tape you just overlaid Rule Britannia over the original music.
all the knobs is amazing
Radio bits might be my favorite part of the video
Its never a simple game of painting when Matt uses his strongest shapes and engineering knowledge.
