Universal Studios Hollywood Building A New “NOPE” 2022 Attraction? ( RUMOR )

- Could Universal Studios Hollywood be building a brand new 2022 attraction for the backlot studio tour? This would be the first major pieces of news out of the park this year and the first ride and show addition to the tram tour since Fast and Furious: Supercharged!
As of now, the only confirmed ride or attraction that we know of at Universal Studios Hollywood is Super Nintendo World! That world will be opening with Mario Kart in 2023. This, has left the park without a major addition for 2022.
The current rumor is a studio tour addition themed to the movie NOPE. This could be a stunt show, a show only utilizing the sets (similar to flash flood and earthquake) only time will tell and we are excited to see it come to life!
This could also merely only be for Halloween Horror Nights at the park... but we'll let you decide. What do you think and would you be excited for NOPE?

I'm old enough to remember the original Wild West stunt show at Universal Hollywood. That was such an epic show. Hopefully this new rumored studio tour attraction will be just as good and memorable.
Me too. Do you remember the Battle of Galatcia, Crossing Red Sea, and even the Six Million Man Cave (wow I am dizzy). OOH and the Collapsing Bridge (sill there but not being used, sadly) and he Runaway Train? The memories of old.

I don't know about a full stunt show because there wasn't enough rigging in place as of right now to suggest that but I would 100% believe there was going to be some level of pyro because of the amount of electrical going to each of the buildings and because the buildings are built up in back and not just the front facade. This could change as they build it up more. They could still very much add in whatever rigging they would need for an actual stunt show. But as of right now I think it'll be closer to something like in Mexico with the flood and the earthquake in the subway where you stop, the effects go off (maybe there's a robbery going on at the bank and it winds up in flames like on the old Great Movie Ride or a simulated shootout with random animated triggers all around you), and then everything starts to reset as you pull out into the next experience. I don't think there's going to be any actual people involved because it's not as quick of a reset as the Bates Motel thing is and I doubt they would slow down the tram tour for something like this.

They literally already have a Wild West Section of the Tram Tour with sets that are rarely used, it seems redundant to build an all new Western Set based on a movie that Universal has no idea yet if it will be a hit.
I mean Waterworld was a flop, yet people love the attraction
What I like about this is if nope is a box office flop they can always make it a generic western stunt show

Not too sure what this new tour attraction will be but we’ll just have to wait and see! Lovely video!

Haven’t any idea. Stunt show seems yo make sense perhaps there are more clues in the permit paperwork.
You make a good point for NOPE, I thought they were moving six points but that didn't make sense to me. Or just thought a movie set was being build

Crazy they spend so much money on a project based off a movie that they have no clue if it would do any good yet. Nope
This is the third film from Jordan Peele's, I'm sure it will do more then well enough
1969? 1970? ish I went with the family, dad had a business trip to cali. I remember a wild west show. Had to be at Universal. 52 years ago

I'm pretty positive this is 100% NOPE related, just look up the NOPE target merch and you'll see the map showing exactly the storefronts seen on the video... The real question here is when will it open?

Would have been an amazing concept to see come to life but sadly I don't think it's anything 'NOPE' related. The film's set in the 2000's, and although the trailer does show some western themes, there's no sets that are actually reminiscent of that era. I also know of the guy who plays Parker (Connor), and is not a main character as far as I'm aware, or greatly relevant to the plot. Not to mention, although it's a well established director, and one of my personal favourites, I doubt they'd make a permanent (or semi-permanent) attraction for a film that hasn't come out and although it's been hyped around a lot, it's not as talked about, let's say, Infinity War (weird comparison I know), to justify such a thing being built. Still, it would have been a good idea, and it's gotten me really excited for the film, hopefully something comes along for Halloween Horror Nights!

I feel like if it's going to be a show there that means they might take down fast and furious and make the stunt show the finale. Because a stunt show takes pretty long time and the transition between a stunt show and fast and furious would be too fast.
