Hello ,help me clarify on something 😢when Heme breaks down into iron and porphyrin!! Does iron become Haemosderine and Ferritin or Ferritin is the protein that transports the Haemosderine iron to the iron stores
How would you interpret blood tests where GGTP is significantly raised, AST is mildly raised, and MCV is mildly raised (but all other tests are normal)?
had fever vomiting for a week then had my ultrasound and blood work done in the 11th day of my first symptoms My blood test showed multiple times higher liver enzymes alt was the highest tho. I started developing jaundice at the 10th day. I had my ct and another ultrasound by the end of the second week but it was all good except for a few lymphnodes enlarged next to the gallbladder. On the 19th day i had a new blood work and it showes all enzymes decreased drastically and it is not too far from highs normal levels. Thats being said bilirubin kept increasing and hit 125 umol/l while it was 77 in the first blood work. I am feeling much better but still cant eat normally because i get uncomfortable feelings in my guts Any ideas?

It mights be due to liver, bone, or certain musculoskeletal disorders. Their are certain tests such as electrophoresis, heat stability etc which can help to identify the cause.
@@MedBoard I have dextroscoliosis and I also experienced pain now I'm my right side near the ribs I'm very confused if it's the liver or bone since my AST ALT are normal only the ALP is very elevated.
Sorry to hear that. May you get well soon. The ALP isoenzyme test can detect whether the increase is in "LIVER ALP" or "BONE ALP". Please consult your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.

If liver blood result is perfect and the person has Cirrhosis . Is it possible it's normal or lower because the liver isn't functioning?
How about your ast alt is normal and your upper right abdomen is painful and on the right side of the ribs, what is all about doc?

how about if only ggt is elevated and all other liver enzymes are normal, what does it indicate?
Elevated GGT levels indicates that something is damaging liver or bile duct. It doesn't diagnose the specific problem.
What if all the parameters are normal but ALT slightly elavated
Test again after while, could be due to viral infection
Thanks in end you have not mention what if GGT is high but ALP normal
Wat abt high ggt mean?
Good content

My bilirubin is low what does that mean
Certain medication can cause low bilirubin. Usually, low bilirubin level is not of great concern.
