Tour a Western Classic Car Junkyard with OVER 5,000 Cars! Tons of RUST FREE Cars Sitting! (Old Cars)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 жов 2024
- We recently took a trip out west to buy a 1959 Buick (that will be in next week's video) and we stumbled upon this absolute gold mine of old cars and pickups! Most of these cars are rust free or have very little rust, which is great for us since in Iowa, these cars in this type of condition just do not exist. There are supposedly over 5,000 cars here, and it would take about a week or two to see it all! Make sure to stay tuned for next week's video to see part 2 of this awesome salvage yard!
Thanks for watching!

That 62 Dodge wagon is probably one of the most unique cars there. You don't see many Mopar wagons of that era around.
im not a mopar guy but i definitely thought the same when i saw it
@@IowaClassicCars You said to Email you about certain items at this specific salvage or jink yard ! You said the owner is basically his own place and doesn't want you to give out his information and to Email you !! What is your Email Address please ? How do I contact you ? I googled IwoaClassicCars and it only shows your UA-cam channel . Please respond and let me know your Email Address or how to contact you with a time stamp Please !! Thank You , ZAK !
You must have felt like a kid in a candy store Ryan. Thanks so much for taking us along. (The green AMC wagon at 1:08 looks mighty tempting)
i sure was lol
@@IowaClassicCars 👍
The 1970 Monte Carlo that you walked by around the 19:20 is my favorite so far at this yard. I love the 1970-72 first generation Monte Carlo’s.
Cars are picked over heavy , however , what is left is rust free ! Good mine lol
for sure
You are one lucky man. To Find. Some. Great. Yards. Thanks
I absolutely love Automotive Graveyards!! Used to spend hours at them when I was in my teens, thank you for sharing these videos.
I've always been a sucker for station wagons so I'd take the 62 Dodge wagon black with red interior.9 passengers now that's cool. Sth Australia 🇦🇺
oh yeah a rare one indeed
Must have ran a big tow company for 50+ years lol, would be cool to hear the real story behind the collection some day, and I thought that I couldnt feel "whole" unless I have 20-30 in the yard, this guy musta felt like a million. Keep rolling.......
that could be, i honestly didnt ask him though lol
Dude, you have found heaven on earth! Look at how beautiful the landscape is!! With all that beautiful tresure!! That guy could make a ton on money just with tours! I would pay to walk that yard. I would pay to cut his grass knock somevof that brush down!! Wow.
Great video. A lot of great projects.. or parts...and very sharp filming. but..."He dont want tell the location" " The cars are not cheap". Does he WANT to sell..or not? Its not excactly gold there.
What a beautiful sight the cars against that backdrop is stunning don't you think & wow so many projects to be had.I ❤it. Thanks for taking us with you Ryan. Cheers from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍
it sure was pretty!
You are very correct Ryan. I have built 7 frame off cars in last 20 years. If someone is in market to build a car they should always search for cars out of rust belt.
1000%
Wow what a treasure trove of cool cars. I seen some square bodies I a pair of power window doors for my 77. Thanks for doing the walk that's amazing is that guy retiring soon and getting rid of everything.
he is crushing new stuff but keeping the old
Wow, I'd love to walk through that yard. Thanks Ryan for taking us along.
Any time!
I'll take what you said a step further. Say I have a line on a car I want that's pretty complete, but the rust means TONS of cutting and stitching. I am VERY confident that I can find the same car in that valley. Gutted out? Yep! But for the price, I save 100's of hours of fab time time. Just swap and roll. Just saw part two, went backwards. Thanks for the enjoyable field trip!
0ne of the biggesr yards ive seen. Never was any like this where im from in south carolina, but some decent ones though i must say , thanks ryan for the video
Great, thanks for sharing.
Damn, another trip with Ryan ! Look at him taking us with him ! 2:33 guess a '62 as it has no fins already and a "62" on windows. 5:55 - poor Electra Flattop :( 7:00 oh look, a radio was specified in that Impala 13:15 a Mercedes, with what was considered tailfins in our nomenclature. A W111 generation judging by the quad headlights. 18:08 - '63 Dodge 440 19:10 '62 (?) Studebaker Lark
All these cars have incredibly clean windows !
I spotted a few Cadillacs so I’m happy. Great video!
thank you!
Junkyard videos are awesom. An easy way id those late 60s 70s Mopars, No side marker 67^erlier, round side marker 68 ,skvare sidemarker key on dash 69 , key on colum 70 up. Love ALL Wagons !! Dan in Sweden.
thanks Dan!
Wow there are so many vehicles that could be saved there no rust at all what a shame. I hope some of these cars get saved. Great walk-through by the way.👍🏻👍🏻
2.07 It is a 57 Ford. Mads from Denmark.
Mr. B. Here ! 🤯🤯 WOW ! That is a Super Market of Automobiles 🚗🚗 ( bigger than a Candy Store ) This a nightmare for folks who wants to crush vehicles like this. LOL ! My wife would kill me if I had the funds I would save & build few cars & wagons ! Can’t wait to see part #2 . 👍👀😎🍺🍸
The Sport Fury wagon at the beginning & the 66 caprice wagon at the end 🤩
oh yeah i liked them both
That white 4-door car you said you had no idea what is was (13:13); it's a Mercedes-Benz, could be a 1965 230 and looked to be in decent shape... certainly better than most in the yard.
BTW, you should consider flying a drone which would allow you to cover vast areas like this as well as minimize tangling with a rattle snake... just a thought
What an amazing place ! So many cool cars !
wait until part 2 next week!
My gosh Ryan, wish you could take them all home. Stinking salt ruins many dreams for many classic car folk. Indeed, watch out for those things with stingers and fangs!
i know i need more time lol
Colorado does not use salt on their roads......
@urbanurchin5930 you folks are very fortunate not to have that garbage thrown on your roads. We need to do Fluid Film sprays etc on our vehicles every year to have them get a chance of a long life!
You do such a great job on these yard videos .
thank you!
Man there’s a whack of cars in that yard. Your a brave man walking around in a rattlesnake infested field where there’s millions of places for them to hide. Not for the faint of heart. Thanks for doing it bud.
gotta do what it takes to document it all!
Love the 1970 Impalas.
I kindly want to let you know that a Sedan is a 4 door vehicle with a trunk. So no 2 door sedans as you’ve been calling them, if it has 2 doors and a trunk then just call it a Coupe! I was in the car business for 20 years and heard many people make the same mistake so no biggie, I’m sure it’s that no one ever corrected you on it, but now ya know! Take care and thanks for the videos! Definitely enjoyed going back down automotive memory lane…
Completely WRONG. The cars he pointed out were in fact two door sedans. Many cars were made both in two door coupe as well as two door sedan (with "posts" and taller roofs), like the tri five chevys....I have a '55 two door coupe with no post while my gal Barb has a '55 two door sedan...GM "A" body cars from 1964-72 were also examples of cars that were offered as both two door sedan and two door coupe/hardtop....
I like the 64 Olds
I know this is not a new post, but if you still getting notifications, I am looking for a 1967 2dr chevelle
Sensory overload!
haha a lot to take in
No restoration objekts but very good part-cars when even the floors look so good .
It is a one in a 100 yard with very rust-free part-cars .
absolutely
Very very cool something for everyone.
that there is!
So many cars... so little time... and money!
15.50 blue impala great color. 🇦🇺🇦🇺
absolutely
Lotsa rusty gold there !
that there is!
Wow
The vehicle I could put together using that place!!
'58 red Ford!
That's amazing! 🤩
Unbelievable!
How does one man take care of a yard like this
16:38-42 next to the 66 Olds, what is that? Looks to be missing the entire right side of the vehicle. Late 60s early 70s Dodge Charger?
By “Vetted”he means the black cloth hood over your head til you get there. 😅
haha
Wow, some nice cars! Did you happen to see any 1st gen Camaros?
No, you hardly ever see those anymore in public yards
Do they have any 49 Packards in the yard ?I could buy a complete car or just the rear tails light and an engine..
I am interested in the 66 at 8:44 and the caprice wagon at 23:40.
Love videos like this 😊😊
Thanks!
Like the tour. What does he get for a 62, 63 chevy impala wagon? I'm watching and drueling from TAMPA BAY FLORIDA ,USA🇺🇸 08/26/2023
Good job
Thanks!
😍Very cool!!!!👍
thanks!
13:15 looks like a Fintail Mercedes Benz . Maybe a 220.
Does he have a factory four wheel drive Chevy truck from the 1960s?
i didnt see any 4wd of that era
How does a car guy not recognise a mercedes grille?
because im not into mercedes lol
13.13 Mercedes. Mads from Denmark.
0:17 is a 41 Pontiac coupe. Fairly rare pre war
thanks!
Any 77/78/79 Chevy Caprice 2 Door Cars?
This is pretty good, and you linger just a little bit too much in some areas, but you have the right idea. From 6:47. to 7:01. on the '67 Chevy. This is how you look at a car as a template. If there is nothing to look at in the interior or the engine bay then don't go there. You showed the outside but didn't detail it, it is in a junkyard, you don't have to and shouldn't. Then you showed the only thing worth showing on that car, the dash. This is from a Fifty plus year old fan of older cars. There are wrong ways to do this and there are right ways to do this, and you have potential to do it right.
Sounds good thanks
Welcome.@@IowaClassicCars
I would like to know where this is located thanks
Awsome
Bro yes challenger kuzov ???? Many ???
Is that falcon 500 for sale
13:25 is a merc
So, What did you Bring Home ?
Youll see next week!
Always enjoy these walkabouts, Ryan. Just wish you weren't an Anti-Fordite.
Ive lost more money with fords, lol
Can you say at least what state it's in ?
sadly no, that was part of the agreement to film. no location, no name of owner, anything
The clues are there... what state is 20 hours from Iowa, not in the midwest, has prairie grass and still has some snow on the foothills on a warm day? The biggest clue is the many white license plates.
put the clues together if you want, im just doing what the owner asked....if i dont, then i have no more content when people wont let me film....just remember that.@@BerJam_007
@@IowaClassicCars no worries! Totally understand. Keep em coming!
Nice to see you buy cars too
Is there a way you can interview the owner that would be awesome I am going crazy that's a dream.
he did not want to be on camera
@@IowaClassicCars thanks great place.
Please let me know if I want some cars from this yard
I'm interested in old trucks. How much is he asking for all the trucks at the 13 minute mark.
67 white Mercedes benz.
Even a rare VW 411LE 4-door sedan (19:11)
Any 1950 thur 54 Henry J s
Hey Ryan!! I completely understand your reasoning on wanting to buy good solid cars away from the upper midwest or any salt laying 4 season state! I too am an Iowan car enthusiast!! My question is,.. at about 13:30- 14 min you show a 68-70 Coronet? (My geuss 68? pointed dashpad is a 68 yr only) anyways that's the car i need for my 68 Coronet rebuild! You mentioned contacting you if serious and you can possibly get me in touch with them?
(I think that's what i heard?) Please let me know if you have an email to contact you or how to get the ball rolling? Anyways,.. great upload, and thank you for the awesome channel!! ✌️ from Iowa!!
*Edit- i just found your email! Duhhh!! I'll contact you shortly! Thanks again!!
Sounds good
@@IowaClassicCars email sent!
How are you?
It's a Mercedes read your books, Ryan.
Hasn't some fun, ha ha.😂😂😂😂
Haha i dont care about exotics lol
Hi
Hello my friend, I am looking for a 1960 1959 Ford Super Duty truck, f-1000, f-950, f-850. If you have any experience or an idea that will help me, I will reward you
How to buy these cars?
Rattlesnakes???😮
I need lot for cars
Have you considered filming from a side by side. Easier viewing. More territory covered.
Might need a 20 foot tripod for some filming
If the yard owners had one, yes, but most dont lol
I know exactly where this yard is. Drive past it every day.
Well keep it private pls. The owner was very stern, he did not want it out there for the world
I don’t get it. How can you buy parts if you can’t even go there to see it. Why is it a secret?
because its his place, and his rules. If you dont want these type of videos to be published in the future, then i can break rules. But i do that 1 time, and i wont have any more contacts who trust me to keep my word.@@gtfab97
Get me a price on a 1961 Cadillac 4 door hardtop 62 series .
#interrested
This is lal Muhammad from Pakistan
A Buick is not an Oldsmobile
Ебать, какие там толстые люди гуляют😮
mercedes , the best car on the lot is the white mercedes, the rest is scrap
I was just thinking that that Mercedes was the only one that was junk, all the American cars are worth saving...
HAAAAAAA!! "TON OF DRY METAL!!" SO GREAT!! AAAAAA++!
