Excellent follow up video after the last comparison. The trolls jumped all over you for that one!!! But both videos were awesome! Keep the vids coming man!
This is the first ever video on ANY VIDEO. No dislikes. Thats awesome I'm new to the snomobile world still don't have one yet but no dislikes means you are a class act. #RESPECT
As a novice sledder, 2nd year in, this is a fantastic explanation of how all this works. I just assumed it was some type of voodoo that made it all work.
@@gratefulshred Good to hear that it works. I'm not looking to do wheelies, I just miss the fun factor of my old 155 Pro. I also have the 19 850 but it is a 163". It gets it done in the deep but is a little too planted in the hero snow. Time to play with the shocks and lighten the front end a bit.
Great video & explanation. I run a SKS mostly off trail & bush riding in northern Alberta. But great points for setting up my sled better for the couple Mtn trips I do get in
I feel like the khaos was marketing genius to get the flatlanders to buy wheelie machines. The pro is still king of the mountain when you need to be in control.
On the Rmk i will typically run less pre load, it has a slightly stiffer spring on the rear compared to Khaos. I run anywhere from 1/2” to 3/4” pre load on the ski shocks. A good rule of thumb is to take all the pre load away, then add 1/2” as a starting point then use your clickers from there.
What do you suggest for a 2020 SKS 155 2.6 I mostly boon dock UP of Michigan. Sled seems hard to get to turn in tight spots. It has WAlker evans clickers. Thanks!!
That was the clearest explanation of suspension setup I’ve found. Thanks.
Glad it helped!!
100% agreed. Thanks!

Hopped off a doo and this video was awesome to figure out my Polaris

Thanks for stopping by!
Awesome video Brett, great explanation, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Excuse moi turcotte mais sait le meilleur vidéo que j’ai vue pour l’ajustement de mon sled 💯✔️

Thank you for the positivity!
Very clear. I have been looking for an explanation like this for a while. Thank you!!
Great explanation of the two models. I'm starting to play with the center shock spring pre-load on my 19 Pro to make it a little more playful.

Thanks for this video sounds like a person can apply it to different brands as well 👍
For sure you can! These are all great ideas to be applying to suspension setups!
@@turcotte16 thanks man
I was struggling finding the right rear skid adjustment to be able to climb and play around we will see how this works for me in blue!
Best explanation yet👍👍
That was a really good video man!
Sold me on being a subscriber!
Great video & explanation. I run a SKS mostly off trail & bush riding in northern Alberta. But great points for setting up my sled better for the couple Mtn trips I do get in
Where do you ride in northern alberta?
Could you do a video on the difference between tunnel lengths 155 163 165 ect. And the lug sizes?!!? 2" 2.6 3"
I feel like the khaos was marketing genius to get the flatlanders to buy wheelie machines. The pro is still king of the mountain when you need to be in control.
Great explanation. I installed the Pro limiter in the Khaos.
Great mod!
Did you notice a big difference on the ski lift ?
Great tips! Thanks Brett!
Would you tighten up the limiter strap on the khaos to level it out a bit?
Yep! That will also help
Brett - How do you set your preload on the rear track shocks on both machines? Do you run alot of preload on the ski's?
On the Rmk i will typically run less pre load, it has a slightly stiffer spring on the rear compared to Khaos. I run anywhere from 1/2” to 3/4” pre load on the ski shocks. A good rule of thumb is to take all the pre load away, then add 1/2” as a starting point then use your clickers from there.
@@turcotte16 Cool...thank you
thank. pefect basic explanation !!!
Cheers!
Thanks for the tips !!
Cheers!
Great Bfent! Just got a Khaos with Burrandt skid shock and would like to know what is the base preload on springs? 1/2" center and 1" back?
Cheers
I would go 1/“2 front 3/4” rear
I found adjusting the spring is far better then playing with clickers.. cos you look your place on the clickers real fast unless you write it down.
how would you setup a switchback assault? the front end seems a little lower to the ground any way to get it up more? if thats makes sense
So what’s more useful? A mild set up on a khaos or an aggressive pro?
I like to have a mellow setup on the rmk as opposed to an aggressive compensating setup on a khaos
Should i adjust the black one as well?
black dial is low speed
Excellent explanation
Now the front suspension.
I will add it to the list!

Stiffen up your Center skid shock, to allow it to transfer to the rear track shock sooner!
@@turcotte16 thanks. Stiffen the front skid shock is what your saying.
Will simply putting a khaos limited strap on a pro make any difference in ski lift?
No, the front shock on an RMK is physically shorter than the Khaos is..
Can you tell me how too get the pro Rmk front shocks too stop blowing apart? I’m On a second set. I’m gonna get foxes when they blow again
It all depends on the rider and what you’re using them for! I personally run fox QS3 airs on my rmk!
do you miss riding the cats?
Nope! My Polaris is working so good!
damn that was quick
Steady grindin!

I wish i had a polaris 800 pro rmk but i cant get it😀🥲😭
