    Stoked on mine, stoked you mentioning the Elevates because I have them too. One of the only reasons I have not put them on yet is for baseline and because I thought that I would n just not n yeteed to put my limiter strap to maximum setting for them, but if you are running them on the second to longest hole, then I will try that also. I might try some DS three skis have some thing from snow out here lately, not that I don’t like the blade DS plus.

    Great video didn’t think about the throttle cable. We need a shock setup at some point buddy

    Hey Ross mind showing how you strap your fuel bag to the sled? Looking for ideas on how to carry one one the boost. Cheers to a fellow PNW’er

    Ross, how can we talk about set-up without talking about shock preload? Where do you set both front and back shock preload? Especially the rear skid shocks and how they correlate to weight transfer.

    Great video Ross!! Very well thought out set up. Pro tip try running Teflon tape under your brake mount. Allows for it to move under hard hits but stays in place while riding.

    Question.. why do you run hand warmers on max?? I find I burn my thumb off before my hands get warm. Wish they came out with separate hand & thumb settings

    Love the Lynx content Ross, could you do a DS Vs. RE comparison? I think a lot of people in the industry don’t understand the difference other than the specs provided by lynx.

    New lynx is pretty sweet! How do you like the KYB shocks compared to Fox shocks?

    With regards to suspension set up, do you know if the spring dimensions are a common size? Or if there will be different rates available?

    All moto and mtb bars are not directly inline with the steering post, they’re all at least 30mm to 40mm forward offset. I think your good with the riser set slightly forward. Then you get a more forward bar position.

    So I put the zrp 1.25 lift spindles on my 850x 165. I noticed horrible added ski pressure and trenching my first two trips out. I let out one hole on my limiter strap and it helped but I feel it still rides a lot worse compared to the stock spindles. It also feels like the added pressure puts a ton of drag on my skid. Do the elevates add pressure like this, and what would you recommend to get it back closer to neutral. I like them in deep snow, but every where else it just feels like it’s fighting me.

      the ZRP spindles changes what we call the "trail" and thats why I dont love them. i dont feel what your explaining with the ice-age spindles. ice age also has recommended suspension settings for their kit.

    What's the difference between the DS and RE?

  • @LordDogmeat

    Curious to see the sag adjustment on the rear skid ... manual on my DS says I should set it at ~3.5"? I don't know if I'll be able to get there at 300+ lbs ride weight :( .... They sell heavier springs by chance?

    • @brendanfair4108
      @brendanfair4108 Рік тому

      They do have a heavier spring. But I put a zbro exit 2 aggressive on my lynx. Made a big difference.

    Hey Quad Zilla - with those baller ass shocks typically sitting in the middle, would you say they are still a worthy upgrade for us poors who are STILL using the Walker Evans Velocity's?? I pop a chub every time I see the RE's suspension....gaaAHHT
