    I just bought this 88p. I have 32” BFG 8 ply all terrains on my GMC. This compressor aired it from flat to 50 psi in 3 1/2 minutes. The bag that comes with it is too small. I bought a hyper tough bag at Walmart for $6 and have room to put a tire plug kit in it with compressor. This is a great item.

    Great to see how well the 88P fits in an ammo can. I just picked one up and was thinking about a bag, but the can is way better. Thanks!

    I like the viair 90p also. It has a biuld in bleeder valve. The 88p is better for larger vehicle because you can buy an extension air hose for it. I have both.

      i agree with both of y'all....i just got a 18' 4runner trd off road and aired down for a beach day. i ignorantly bought a cig one from amazon. it took me like 5 mins per tire to go from 20 to 33psi. i didn't even wait in-between tires to let it cool down. ugh. this looks like it's good enough for me esp given the cost and not trying to go full crazy off road all the time. rob, should i wait inbetween tires let it cool down or is it enough to just hit all 4 tires in a row? thanks so much from a new suscriber.

    • @RobDaman
      @RobDaman  6 років тому +1

      Hi!
      When i aired up I didn't wait and it gave it a small break since I had to disconnect and walk over to another corner. The duty cycle is 25 minutes so it should be fine to run all four back to back unless you're filling a lot of air. 10-15 psi is no biggie. Just be careful touching the pump. It gets really hot. Also be sure to bring a few more fuses just in case.
      Thanks for commenting and the sub! 👍❤️🌮

    I got lucky and ordered a set of those exact wheels for my quicksand Tacoma this past week. I really like the ko2s but they only come in load E rating for that 265/75/16 size.
    I feel that those tires would be heavy for the truck. What’s your experience with them?

    • @RobDaman
      @RobDaman  6 років тому

      +Alfredo Zavala congrats on the purchase. Ray10 are in huge demand.
      I have a manual so I felt no loss in power to me. The stock tires and duratrac c load tires I had before made the truck too floaty. KO2 firmed up things for the better. I can drive it more like a SUV vs boat.
      They're also tough for off-roading and in my lake Arrowhead thumbnail pic you can see my rear tire flexing on a rock.
      Check out the Cooper St Maxx. I've read a lot of good things about them.

      Rob Daman thanks for the reply! My inspiration for my truck comes from yours haha

    Hello, great video thanks for sharing! Wow does this compressor get hot!!!! Mine just stopped working at the beach as I was filling a tire. The sound it makes started going low to high and then the gauge dropped and it stopped working. Have you had any problems with yours? I don’t know if I can get parts or if anybody knows what the problem is....Thanks

    • @RobDaman
      @RobDaman  4 роки тому

      Mine works great. Did you run the compressor while letting the engine idle? Check the blade fuse if you haven't.

  • @julesbabauta

    How can we get a review of just one tire? I wanted to see if it could do all four without overheating.

    • @RobDaman
      @RobDaman  4 роки тому

      it was more about airing up and down. duty cycle is 25 minutes so it inflates 4 tires fine. I've done it several times even with my 34s.

    • @paulcalub8769
      @paulcalub8769 3 роки тому

      Great video! Did you need to wait for the Viair to cool down before you went from tire to tire due to how hot it gets?

  • @okaythen001
    @okaythen001 4 роки тому +1

    For inflators in general, you want to have the car running while using it? I have never done it, is it a big drain on the battery? Also I often drive the car after it's been sitting for 2 weeks or so, so the battery might be low already!

    • @RobDaman
      @RobDaman  4 роки тому

      Good question. For longer airing up times it's best and also with the engine running it puts out more voltage as well.
      I suggest getting a battery tender like this since it sits so long. amzn.to/35EuEVN

    • @geebroni4118

      The 88P draws at least 20 amps. Too much for accessory plug.

  • @customalt9458
    @customalt9458 3 роки тому

    So the 88p doesn't get hot enough to give 1st degree burns? I've been using mine but paranoid of accidentally touching anything other than the handle and the switch after use.

    • @RobDaman
      @RobDaman  2 роки тому

      It gets hot. You'll move pretty fast before it burns you. this is first hand experience. still a great compressor

    Why does the motor have to be running

    • @RobDaman
      @RobDaman  2 роки тому

      Technically you don't but I want to be sure I don't inadvertently drain the battery that I can't start later. Also idling usually runs more voltage than off.

      It takes about 2 minutes each to air up.
