    Love the minimalist interior and black finish of, but I can't say I'm a fan of the concave front. or those wobbly feet for the vertical orientation. I'd definitely go horizontal. And the improvements they're working on will certainly help justify that premium price, along with that impressive laser-cut foam for the accessories.

    How's the fan noise? It can get pretty loud having fans close to perforated panels, my TERRA build can get quite spicy with only a few mm of gap between the GPU fans and the side, not nearly as bad as the CPU mind you.

    Little things like that packaging for the accessories make a huge difference, I believe.
    Companies severely underestimate how much this elevates the impression a customer gets from product and company for a negligible investment of something like $1.

  • @sparkplugbarrens
    @sparkplugbarrens Рік тому +2

    I really like this case, but I have one question and a few points of criticism:
    - How does it compare to the t1 and a4h20 in terms of thermals?
    - the feet seem like an oversight, the case seems really unstable with them. Just making them shorter and wider could change that.
    - the gpu blows hot air out of the bottom isn't this a problem for gpu thermals?
    - if the case doesn't accommodate a normal 240 aio, it isn't very well optimised. The should give it a few more millimeters.
    -the price has been brought up very often. I am sure, they have a reason for that (probably mashining the case out of a very big block of alu), but nevertheless 350-400€ is a lot, considering that other boutique cases like the t1 and m1 cost much less.

    • @THORZONE
      @THORZONE Рік тому +1

      Let me answer some questions where I can be unbiased. It does support a normal 240 AIO, you just need a slim fan on the motherboard side, for the PSU side you can use a standard 120x25fan.
      Price is not 350-400€, it’s 350-400 USD. Also, international shipping is included, which costs us anywhere from 50-80 usd.

      @sparkplugbarrens Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the answer! We already briefly interacted on reddit, where you told me about this personal project! :)
      From this video I understand that the 240 aio fits with a slim fan. My suggestion was to make a little more room to accommodate two full size fans.

    This is so sleek, thank you for sharing as always, if you get the bigger version maybe you can make a comparison between the two around temps, fitting, etc. I will say the price is a hard pill to swallow, hopefully those details/imperfections with the screws, the wobbling with the feet, the upside down front ano others are fixed on the production version, again, especially with that price point.

      Just as an FYI no boutique part maker will be able to compete with pricing of a huge company. Scales of economy allow companies like coolermaster to offer things at better prices. As others have pointed out the allure of this case would be the premium unibody aluminum which is always going to be crazy expensive vs a mixed metal/plastic case. For anyone out there trying to buy a small case, I recommend SAMA IM 01. It is 18L( a little bigger than the one in the vid). You can put 7 case fans on it and it also supports micro atx motherboard( I think you can put a atx motherboard not sure tho). It only cost 58$

    • @autotropicplaybench1819
      @autotropicplaybench1819 Рік тому +1

      The Sama IM01 (rebranded across multiple countries) has been a staple of the mATX compact case for a while alongside the Asus Prime AP201 and I currently use its rebranded Tecware Fusion variant. To clarify on this:
      * it does not support ATX, just mATX and ITX, and even with mATX there are design compromises for its slightly smaller footprint than the AP201.
      a) compromise 1 - bottom mATX mobo connectors are blocked if adding 2 regular 120mm fans. Either add 2 slim fans to squeeze cables in, or 1 regular fan to have space for front panel connectors.
      b) compromise 2 - mATX mobo is better off still with an SFX PSU mounted in front. Otherwise an mATX mobo+ATX PSU will limit GPU length to short two fan cards.
      * The max of 7 case fans is only possible if you use a slim CPU air cooler or an AIO as you will have 2 bottom and 2 top fans, 1 rear fan that is 80mm, and a fan bracket to add 2 fans on the side mesh panel facing towards the front of the mobo.
      Its budget pricing in our country and it seems for many others though makes up for some of its compromises since not many compact cases like this with mATX support exist for under $100. You might see this also rebranded into say the Krux Naos, Intertech IM-1, Galax Revolution 03. Sapphire Nitro M01, etc.

    1:21 You keep saying "handles" meaning "something grasped by the hand" but they're more like "feet". On the Mac Pro they're handles. Anyway, does the larger case use handles/feet of the same size? That might be problematic. Returning to the Mac Pro (which is also housed in a metal sleeve), the outside edges of the feet are the width of the case. The stability of this case could benefit from a similar design.

      I understand your point, but I call them handles because that’s what the company named them - thor-zone.com/mini-itx/nanoq/buy/

      The Handles function both as “handles” and as “feet”. Personally, my rig is in horizontal orientation when I work, and later I use the Handles to carry the case to our TV for some Cyberpunk2077 😉

    Devyn I've been thinking about a portable travel PC with a monitor, what can you recommend in this direction? I've been thinking something that can go in a backpack with the monitor, good specs (i7 and a quality, powerful GPU), and under 15 pounds.
    In this way I can set up the keyboard, mouse, headset, monitor, and PC with a few cables pretty quickly while being better and having upgradability, unlike a laptop.
    Thanks, if you reply.

    The feet the feet, a design with the style of the case the ones shown were from the case machinist's solution in my mind, do one from the designer's view duck feet alien style with the rounded slots to match the case inclosure. Just for a stability. Look at Cooler Master's new case turned sideways with a different top to a side looks great but the same styling in this case with the feet. The case is super neet I like it alot turned sideways it's perfect standing up it loses its style with the feet is all. The design is awesome the finish perfect the feet nada.
