Can i use my iPhone with wired earbuds as an inear monitor? If not how about like a traditional wireless in ear device directly without having a basetransmitter
Very neat. Would you be willing to share how the IEM units and the filler panels with the antenna openings, on both sides of the IEMs, were integrated and possibly how to purchase it?
@sambacondrums for the two 1/4" jack outs labeled wedge L and wedge R: do you just run a 1/4" to XLR into your powered wedges? Do you still have the capability to tweak that monitor mix or is the main FOH mix being sent to those wedges? I don't own a Ui16, but a used one is up for sale locally. I dig the compact setup. I'm in a band that plays similar gigs and being able to load in/out quickly makes a huge difference. Cheers!
So we’ve changed our set up since this video came out, but if I remember rightly we ran 1/4” jacks from aux 5+6 to an amp, which then powered the passive wedges. The mix being sent to the wedges was fully controllable just like the other aux/foldback outputs, and not a FOH mix. We’ve actually stopped using wedges now and have a gone fully IEM. We’ve also upgraded to the Ui24R model for the additional inputs so planning on releasing an updated video soon!
@@smabacon very cool. just found in the owners manual that you can assign the headphone outs as AUX outs in the settings giving you a total of 6 AUX outs. pretty amazing piece of gear. looking forward to the new rundown.
Is it possible to use this to record 16 separate channels & edit those channels later using this mixer?I heard that some of the Soundcraft mixers can do it.
Excellent video! It shows everything that I currently have except for the router. What kind (brand) is it and how did you mount it in the rack? Super setup!
Thank you! I've upgraded this set up now (currently working on an updated video!) but I think this was just a generic router given to me by my internet provider at the time which was just mounted inside the case using double sided tape! Nothing special, but it was a huge improvement to the Ui's built in hotspot!
I have seen so many bands live and die on stage when that Wifi would go in and out. Great set up and in theory should be bomb proof. Someone IPAD was always failing to connect etc though.
From the video, they're running the 4 main XLR Aux outs into IEM boxes, then, using the software, they're re-purposing the headphone outs to run to the wedges.
Nice video! - I have just purchased the same Pulse rack and power strip, to get mine to fit I had to take an angle grinder to the rack ears, looks like yours was forced in. I will be adding a Soundcraft UI24 with a 5.0ghz router - all the in ears are Xvive U4 wireless, these will be running at 2.4ghz
Hi we are looking at purchasing one of these for our similar type band, couple of questions if possible? If the Wi-Fi drops off does that mean all sound stops? Also does using one of these mean each band member had their own individual mix that they can decide on what they want to hear? Thanks
The wifi drops won’t affect the sound and Itl continue to play as it was before the drop, but it’s advisable to use an external router instead of the built in hotspot. And yes, you can connect multiple devices to the wifi network and each person can control their own mix, it’s great!
I just bought one of these... But after digging in, was pretty pissed to find out you can't pull an ASIO feed off of the USB for this device. It's a good device, but useless for DAW recording or doubling as a USB audio interface.
I have had both in the last 2 years. They are both equally as good as far as the hardware is concerned. The user interface for the Soundcraft is MUCH better and user-friendly than the Behringer. The one pro that the Behringer seems to have is that you can download other effects. I do not see thtat as an option here.
I don't think the Behringer XR16 will multitrack record onto a thumbdrive (it just records stereo... or so it did years ago). I have been using an XR18 for 5+ years - you have to plug in a PC to multitrack record or for any playback. Also the Behringer WIFI is only 2.4G with is near useless for live bands due to the congestion of that bandwidth. Now my output in the XR18 has blown, so I'm looking at the Soundcraft - mutitrack recording and playback via thumbdrive - plus 5G Wifi - seems like an upgrade. I'm pretty disappionted by the lack of Behringer development on their units over the last 5 years.
Thanks! I ordered the rack from Thomann.de but they are sold in most pro-audio shops. This one is a 6U Shallow Rack but any shallow rack with a minimum of 4U will work for this mixer.
Can you offer a list of all the equipment I’d need for the setup?
Cool and ultra clean setup! What kind of power supply are you using? I like that it’s mounted round back to free up front space.
Lovely setup. Well done 🎉
Hey what’s the brand of hard case you use?
if you listen carefully you can hear a voice underneath the music . arrgh
Looks really neat! Love the organization!
Nice setup! Just bought a ui16 hoping to do something similar.
Can i use my iPhone with wired earbuds as an inear monitor?

You can’t use an iPhone as an in ear monitor as no sound is transmitted over the WiFi. I use a Behringer P1 that runs from one of the Aux-out ports.
Just bought my ui16. Can’t wait!
Very neat. Would you be willing to share how the IEM units and the filler panels with the antenna openings, on both sides of the IEMs, were integrated and possibly how to purchase it?

0:47 hey. that line in. is that for mp3 or karaoke player? can i connect one of them on it?
How did you figure out to avoid interference between your router and your wireless systems ?
I always make my custom length cables to avoid coiling up cables and gain extra room. Both audio cables and power cables.

sam, would be able to show how to set up the WAP instead of using the built in antenna
That video is currenlty in progress! Keep an eye out for it.
Hi there, thanks for the video. How u split the input if you are not in charge for PA
Nice vid. What model of case did you use for the entire rack?
Really clean rig! What surge protector is that? I haven't seen one that shallow in the US.
thanks for sharing, I will start using one with my band... This video was very helpful... thanks!! :)

Connect to a laptop or computer via ethernet
That's a brilliant Video dude, very nice and tidy... basically just plug and play.. Thanks for sharing.
What case model are you using? Thank you!
Congrats - very neat!
I used the Ui12 for a few months, no problem with the integrated wifi for some strange reason.
Do you think the external router is a must?
Can you help? We’ve just bought one and I want to get stereo vocals out of the mixing with effects included in the IEM’s. How do you do it?
We need links to a few things in rack case dope set up
Hi, nice setup and video. How did you fix the router to case?
did you install a fan for the rack case? if yes, could you please tell me wich one and where?thanks a lot for the video
Thanks for the vid. What do you use your aux outs for if you’re using the headphones for wedges?
From the video, they're running the 4 main XLR Aux outs into IEM boxes, then, using the software, they're re-purposing the headphone outs to run to the wedges.
I would like to know what brand is the power supply in the back of the rack. And where to buy one like that.
Great video.where are you antennae for the wireless in ear?

I’m looking to purchase the same one! Where did you get yours?
Awesome setup! Do you have any heat issues with the Soundcraft in such a tight package? Installed fan?
thanks mate. trying to suss out my unit for DJ / mobile gigs

Im new to this how many spaces does it uses in the rack?
What mark of case is this? Thanks!
Just ordered it. Did you find it?
Nice static IP you got there 🧐

how did you setup the router?
You are an absolute champ for sharing this video!
where is 0db on the master rotary knobs??
Thanks. Clear video.
How much does the whole box weigh? Thanks 👍
Where can i get the case for the mixer
hey great video can i connect ui16 to cubase as a soundcard work
You can connect 10 devices to control it right? Can you plug in an earphone on each of those devices to monitor the mix? Thanks!
From watching a bunch of other videos, I would say no. The device can only control the software, it won't receive audio.
Poderia deixar o link para comprar esse case?
Onde consigo uma dessa? É possível comprar ou só montando?
salut le flycase c est un u3 ou u4?
How many rack space does it take? Is it 6 or 4? Thx
The mixer is 4U.
Which is better? This one or the xr16 from behringer?

как найти такую коробку? на которой написаноPULSE

@@smabacon Thanks!
I love your accent !
hard to listen buddy with the background levels but good stuff
Did you have to change the mixers up address from 10.10.2.1 to the address of your router?
Yes. I used this really helpful vid as a guide: ua-cam.com/video/X5zqiUwp7lY/v-deo.html
Tough to hear you over the the overly load background music.
Awsome!!
Background music loud and distracting
Delete the audio track as it competes and interferes with your voice.
Turn the background music off, can't understand you.
I see 12 channel bruv😒😒
12 XLR plus another 4 inputs.
your background music is drowning the content.
terrible musik
