Imagina a energia desse bar nessa hora. Live after death. Iron Maiden é minha religião!
Viva Iron Maiden. Greatest band and my favorite since I first heard them, prowler will forever rip. Real music never dies, I’m 22 and nothing released in my lifetime can touch early maiden. Irons up
Great upload of early Maiden. I got into them in 1983, yes I'm lucky in that I'm old enough that I remember all those bands of this period of Metal mentioned (us Thrash bands), UK and more (Samson, Saxon, Motrohead) etc) when they started out, and most of them are still going, even if its at 'nostalgia' metal gigs, their still relevant. For grumpy commentators, remember that most comments are mostly from under 21 year olds, who have only listened to very late 90's and mostly 2000-2018, it's all they know, and have nothing to compare their experience with, and are frequently commentating how they wish they could go back to the '80s and aren't as fortunate as people like me - living metal history !
I've been to Ruskin Arms, but unfortunately not for this gig. Time flies, and now we're looking for next nostalgic "gigs" at stadiums. I still hope they would play some old (Di'Anno/Bayley) songs and/or something else than trooper and heaven can wait. I have listened to the same set too many f*********king times around the world.
+Veli-Pekka Kultanen Don't forget too damn worn out stuff too like "Can I play with madness", "Run to the hills", "Iron Maiden", "Running Free", "Fear of the dark"...
Veli-Pekka Kultanen Exactly. There are so many great songs, but Iron Maiden's playlist is almost the same throughout the years... And what about Flash of the Blade, Losfer Words (Big 'Orra), The Duellists and such? So much about that...
The best Iron Maiden live concerts where in that time 1980/81, rude, raw, direct, fresh, close to the people... I wish I could have been there... Have you listened Nagoya 1981??? Amazing speed!!!
After collecting vinyl for 35 years, i had a personal problema and sold a collection of maybe 9.000 LPs (from late 60's to 80's rock, metal, prog, folk, jazz, etc). After a few years i re-start buying a few classics...just those essential eternal LPs: Doors; the 5 first Sabbaths; Motorhead with fast eddie; early Uriah Heep, 1 led Zeppelin; 1 Janis Joplin; 2 Deep Purple....when I start again thinking about Iron Maiden I realize I don't need more then the 2 first LPs with Paul D'Ianno. Looking back....well, if i find "Number of the beast" and "Piece of Mind" very cheap maybe i'll buy it, but it's not essential. I think this says much about the Historic Band and his glorious years.
Popped in to the Ruskin today. Though it looks nothing like this anymore it's not closed down as some will tell you. Friendly bar staff and a poster of killers on the wall, nice to see they remember Maiden. Stop by if your in the area.
He's not metal (or punk as he thinks he is), that's why. He's like a heavier version of Ian Gillan. Halford, Dio, Dickinson and the lot are great but Di'Anno is from another planet. No contest.
Yes, like Ozzy...never was a True metal singer, Ozzy was allways a big freak. Has more value those guys, are more originals, with no equals. Halford & Dio sucks as singers, they sound too much "The perfect HM singer by the book". And Ian Gillan solo work is something very original, a really Hard Rock second division albums, with lots of interest to pay atention...by the time i collect vinyl i had very proud on Gillan Band discographie, but from Maiden I only had the 4 first albums. Today Iron Maiden reach the same level as Queen with fredie mercury (well, the music of Maiden is far much better, but thounsands of Queen listeners think the other way....but it's the same type of competition: not Art anymore, just statistics of full stadiums)
Simplesmente ESPETACULAR. Long Life for Paul Di'Anno. Henrique de Salvador/Bahia - Brazil.
So sad to hear that Paul Di Anno has passed. He helped early Maiden become great and this proves it. You could hear that they were on the road to greatness.
This is my first time seeing and hearing this concert, how fricken awesome!!! Watching one of the best bands in the world, playing on such a small stage, the perfect maiden line up!!!! I sure miss D'ianno and Stratton, and clive burr will forever be my favorite drummer there ever was, R.I.P. brother.
Iron maiden is a school. Together we grow up. This voyage doesn't finish. I'm going 30 years. I wasn't born back then. But I had my chance to see them and I take that as a privilege (first time in 2000, then in 2005, Athens). Good times; to fight. I think now it's worse for the young. Or maybe it's up to everyone. Let's don't beautify eras. Let's fight for a better world in the present.
I was a drummer in a Maiden tribute band in high school, 1985-1987. Clive was far more difficult to master than Nicko. His technique was superior. Nicko is great too, nothing against him, but Clive was the better musician.
Back in 1992 Iron maiden was the band that could do no wrong in my eyes. I bought FOTD as a kid and was blown away. Bought every album that came before that one with allowance money. And guess what? Not a single bad album. No band could top that. Priest were my fav band, but even they had stinkers.
So cool to see/hear this. I was born 5 years after this show took place. Maiden is my FAVORITE band of all time, and saw them for the first time two summers ago, and it was THE BEST live show I've ever seen. So fucking cool to see videos of them from their days in the clubs around London (ESPECIALLY didn't expect to see videos up from the Dennis Stratton period!!) UP THE FUCKING IRONS!

Irons up
26 dislikes..how can some one feel that way..this is live..an the sound job is great..🇺🇸😎✌
My wife and I have had the opportunity to visit this pub in London. Our day was an endless great experience. The time 12:10 is great!
I was there back then. Good venue at east ham
importante registro histórico !!!
Fantástico.
My first album, IRON MAIDEN 1980! 🤟🤘✌️
You would not believe the raw power this lot exuded in their pomp. Outstanding.
Finally I've found a show where Steve Harris' bass is as loud as it deserves to be.
Good !!!!
Rainbow 1981 concert bass is loud too
Very cool to see Dennis and Clive jamming back in the days..Thanks Zale!
+Veli-Pekka Kultanen Word ma nigga. I don't even bother seeing Maiden gigs anymore, unless I have cash to throw away.
+Veli-Pekka Kultanen Don't forget too damn worn out stuff too like "Can I play with madness", "Run to the hills", "Iron Maiden", "Running Free", "Fear of the dark"...
+Bel Mordok +StartabandRoxy You are right. I want to hear Infinite dreams, Prowler, Phantom of the Opera, Purgatory, all the "unknown" hammers.
Veli-Pekka Kultanen Exactly. There are so many great songs, but Iron Maiden's playlist is almost the same throughout the years... And what about Flash of the Blade, Losfer Words (Big 'Orra), The Duellists and such? So much about that...
Veli-Pekka Kultanen Veli-Pekka Kultanen . I couldn’t agree more. i’ve heard the trooper live 6 times. running free 5.
The raw Maiden we all love !
The best Iron Maiden live concerts where in that time 1980/81, rude, raw, direct, fresh, close to the people... I wish I could have been there...
Have you listened Nagoya 1981??? Amazing speed!!!
Muchas gracias excelente 👌 de lo mejor
Nice tip!
Best maiden concert I've seen . raw young and thirsty.whole band is perfect
Clive's solo is absolutely insane! This man is from other planet!
Popped in to the Ruskin today. Though it looks nothing like this anymore it's not closed down as some will tell you. Friendly bar staff and a poster of killers on the wall, nice to see they remember Maiden. Stop by if your in the area.
R.I.P Clive Burr!! Likes!
Legendary gig. Hope they never clean this up, the raw sound and grainy footage is perfect!
Even if they'd clean it all day, it would still sound raw because it IS raw. Raw Power!!!
Melhor formação do IRON MAIDEN.
Menos né!
@@andreluizsantos9304 ele está certo
Rest in Peace Paul Di'Anno. You made the difference in the early days
Best singer in metal --- hands down
He's not metal (or punk as he thinks he is), that's why.
Bret Wittmann you know it brother!!👍🇺🇸😎🎤🎧🎸
@@legatou metal didnt exist when Ozzy or Dio or halford made their early craft .
Good god wasn't Di Anno just amazing back then in 1980/81.
Good to hear Wratchild and Another Life in the Stratton's era! I wish I heard Prowler.
Simplesmente ESPETACULAR. Long Life for Paul Di'Anno. Henrique de Salvador/Bahia - Brazil.
Ha! This is bloody brilliant! Love Maiden’s early life stuff
Incredible. Thank you very much for get this document. Thanks for sharing
there's more than few Maiden fans who wish somehow Paul Di'anno stayed healthy and carried on as the singer
hard to believe i saw them jyst 2 years after this gig..old head
So sad to hear that Paul Di Anno has passed. He helped early Maiden become great and this proves it. You could hear that they were on the road to greatness.
UP THE IRONS FROM BORNEO. LONG LIVE MAIDEN
This is my first time seeing and hearing this concert, how fricken awesome!!! Watching one of the best bands in the world, playing on such a small stage, the perfect maiden line up!!!! I sure miss D'ianno and Stratton, and clive burr will forever be my favorite drummer there ever was,
R.I.P. brother.
Dennis was awesome and so underrated!
Let's fight for a better world in the present.
fantastic then fantastic now
I was a drummer in a Maiden tribute band in high school, 1985-1987. Clive was far more difficult to master than Nicko. His technique was superior. Nicko is great too, nothing against him, but Clive was the better musician.
This is like 2 different bands. You can't compare.
They're both legendary. I prefer club though. He's more solid when it comes to aggressive playing
Clive was awesome but not anyway near as technical as Nicks.
Two completely different styles Clive and Nicko
Clive was more extreme .
And he wasnt cheating even on fast on the right hand .
All double .
best show in the history of music
Back in 1992 Iron maiden was the band that could do no wrong in my eyes. I bought FOTD as a kid and was blown away. Bought every album that came before that one with allowance money. And guess what? Not a single bad album. No band could top that. Priest were my fav band, but even they had stinkers.
Very raw and original sounded, that's my favorite formation of the band.
