Jane lives on another planet that we must all visit, again and again. Sure, those hairdon'ts are vintage 80s, and there's gonna be the comparison to David Byrne, but, step back, relax, and imagine you are either on stage or in the audience, and, well, look at EVERYONE in this LIVE performance...having a moment, having some fun, having some...L-I-F-E. Anyone who can bring EVERYONE together for such an experience: amazing.
OMG!!! I've had this album for over 30 years but never saw this video until today. I'm covered w/goosebumps. She is Eternally Extraordinary. Wooooooow!!
This video is how I first heard of Jane Siberry, because VH-1 used to play it sometimes in the early days. They used to play the video for One More Colour, also.
Rebecca Jenkins and Gina Stepaniak were the perfect backup singers on this tour- saw her at Ontario Place a couple of times! "One More Colour" may have the best female harmonies I've ever heard.
I was at one of those shows at least. I went to see her as often as possible for a few years. Just loved watching her get better and better in front of an audience. First show was in some bar in Burlington and my table of eight were the only ones there. We weren't planning on staying but would have felt guilty leaving. She put on the whole show just for us and it was magic. Only prop she had was an apple box to stand on. Good times.
Everyone has lovely things to say. I don't know that J watches these, but i'll be sure to send the positive to her. (yes, the ont place outdoor summer venue was spectacular wasn't it!)
agreed.I came here searching to remember that show i saw in buffalo way back then. our proximity to canada and CFNY was the window into Jane Siberry. that show was just so much fun! do singers ever smile like that? nah, they are too busy being pretentious serious artists. like if you smile it looks easy. but when you are smiling and the audience is smiling, everybody is having a good time! how did we loose that good time feelin?
I think this entire concert was recorded based on several bits and pieces being included in the documentary done on her in the '80s, but does it exist anywhere? I'd be over the moon to see it.
Saw her tonight in concert…she is mesmerizing and magical. Her delivers just enough lyrics to keep us intrigued and our imaginations actively engaged.
She would have been more successful if she wasnt such a nut case. Too wacky for mass audience

Probably the greatest lost concert film of the 1980s. This is Canada's "Stop Making Sense".
Were all these recordings taken from a single show? I assume it was the Speckless Sky tour; I just wonder if the entire concert is out there
Stop Making Sense with ponytails and enforced jollity? I like Jane but this is cheesy with unimaginative choreography
You are absolutely correct.
I have been fortunate enough to see this brilliant woman about 7 times now. Next time will be in November. I truly love her music.
We just saw her in a little cabin in Haliburton in august.

Such a delightful video! Always makes me smile.
😊 ...Every time...Me too😁
Me too. So much joy.
me too -it makes me cringe (so horribly 80's) but at the same time grin with joy
Would have liked to attend one of Siberry's concerts they look a lot of fun
Right back to my happy place. Love you Jane.
Amazing performance! Thank you for posting. Just watching it makes me smile! Jane's voice is permanently etched in my memory

I was in the audience. She is incredible.
Loved seeing her at the Bottom Line in NYC in support of this album. Love this song.
thank god for you in the 80s
The Speckless Sky is the only album to rival Graceland as the greatest album of the 1980s. It is that good.
I've seen many live acts, but her show at the NAC with the two Rebeccas remain in my top ten best.

From Detroit, this is too cool for the unwashed masses! 100 years ahead of its time.
Everything Reminds Me Of My Dog.
I had this cassette!!! I need the cd. Loved it!!
CANT STOP WATCHING ❤❤❤❤❤

So gorgeous.
So brain dead
Is that Laurie Anderson dancing behind her??
it's like a Laurie Anderson rip off with nursery school melodies and mullets
Nope, but this video is "Home of the Brave" on happy pills ;-)
It's Rebecca Jenkins
soulless surrealness ..... so boring as to be really freakin weird
