@@Athertonmedia most likely 1/8 in or less, above that you wont be able to cut easily and bend it as you pleased

Excellent work! If make metal channel letters ,we use CNC fiber laser cutting machine,laser welding and letter bending machine ,it's high precision,more efficiently and low costs.

Nice and great work, but I used a lot of glue or quick glue .. I have a better way for me to glue the plastics. We use chlorine liquid for me to glue the plastics. Try it and you will see an amazing result.
at the beginning, you could try using 3d printing =D cool vid
With 3d printing, it will take very long time and very expensive.

@@certified-forklifter it will be expensive if you consider the size of the arts works to do.
A kilo of filaments is about 15$ and to finish that kilo of filament to write just letter(20 cm over 20 cm and 10 cm high), you can spend more than a day printing it. And don't forget the cost of electricity as well.
I do 3d printing. That is my job.

Super glue. you can use Flex quick.

Yes we Indians use soldering iron to bend straight letters like "A" but for rounder letters like "S" we use gas torch to melt acrylic and use that melted strips to give a shape
