I'd love to see a video of M855A1 vs a UN "blue helmet". For the sake of science of course.
Pretty sure those blue helmets are available at AMERICANA PIPEDREAM APPAREL
Helmets useless when the hillbillies got V.A.T.S mode enabled.
The results on that would be interesting.
I would like to see it for historic reasons
fun fact. ballistic helmets are primarily for stopping shrapnel, and outside of long range/high angle of impact said helmets will not stop most rifle rounds.
Them edits when you stop the pumpkin in slow motion as the round goes through it and then speed it up again @ 6:00 are perfect ! The sound slowed down and sped up the way you guys did it are bone chilling, wicked job on the filming and editing !
Thanks man! DAG did a great job!
Pretty sure the sound is added in post, recording sounds in extreme slow motion doesn't work well.

So happy and proud of this guy for sticking to doing what he loves. It’s so cool to see how much this channel has grown and just keeps on going up. Congrats to the accomplishments thus far. Keep it up!
Thanks Meister! Love it, and we'll keep going till the wheels fall off.
@@AdministrativeResultsI actually made & tested the 855 a1 at Lake City Ammo plant... if there is anything you want to know about the ammo let me know
@robert2754 how much does it cost per round, or did when you were there, to produce?
The production value has just gone through the roof. This is amazing. The slow motion audio on top of the visual. Awesome.
No more balaclava expenses lol
The high quality audio adds so much to the slow motion shots
Makes u wonder whos paying the bills? Big gun company? 2a group? Garand thumb? The world needs to know😂
Do ppl in AZ have roofs?
Also, side question: Why is plural of roof = roofs, but hoof = hooves ????? O_o
Astounding what ad revenue can do eh?!
My wife calls my tip M855A1. Not because of any over-penetration, but mostly because it's .22 caliber.
Oof size large
No need to brag… 🥲
I can smell it from here 🥵
Your poor girl tearing her up 😂
@@Doran_Krotan shut up nerd.
The slow mo audio design is so good. Idk if people realize this or not but the slow mo camera is not recording the audio in slow mo, that is created by/added in by whoever is editing. It sounds great.
I also love how SlowMoGuys have completely set the expectation of what "slow motion" audio sounds like.
The amount of time and effort that would have been put in just to GET those sound effects for the Slow Mo’s is just mesmerizing. Great job man keep administrating those results
I've felt like a pumpkin trapped in a man's body this whole time but could never put it into words. Thank you for setting me free

I love seeing your channel take off man, especially after taking the leap and dropping the balaclava. I know there must have been some nerves there wondering if viewers would stick around, but I think you've established yourself pretty well. Keep being you 🙂
I heard about this dude in some kind of rural law enforcement role that caught a 30-06 to his level IVs. He survived it but the people there said it instantly knocked him unconscious. No clue how reliable that story is, but I can imagine it would immensely suck nonetheless
Id have to imagine that much shock/energy getting dumped right into your chest/heart would "short circuit" most people. Sounds believable
Any moderately strong shock to the chest at a bad time during your breathing cycle can knock you flat for a bit
This one time when I was sparring with one of my friends at his kickboxing place. He actually kicked me in the chest right as I was clearing my throat, and boom, I was fully out for a few seconds. So I’d say catching a .30-06 to the plate could definitely result in a loss of consciousness
@@Anoneemus_Noenayme Getting hadouken’d sounds like an honorable way to go. I would’ve been cool with that
But yeah, chest impact are inherently finicky because of how many _vital_ organs are located in that exact area. I used my example to highlight how easy it could be sometimes, because a kick like the one he sent my way would’ve normally only pissed me off a little
Story from Ukraine, a dude took a 7.62x54R to a level IV hesco back plate. Walked away with a gigantic bruise and his life.
I took a 9mm to the hip and a second about a half inch to the right of my spine…. The second one dropped me and I lost time for like 4-5 seconds.. which I still think is weird because i didn’t have a head injury.. I’m not a scientist but I kinda feel like what little “hydrostatic shock) that HP had kinda short circuited my CNS.
Great work, Admin. Love the channel.
I love the fact that you’re always going above and beyond to create a cool and cinematic video.
I enjoyed the improvisational feeling of this episode.
Stay safe on the range guys.
I enjoy the kindness of this comment, Ill try but no promises

@@AdministrativeResults Shane Gilles is very vocally anti 2A. Doesn't mean he's not funny, just FYI.
@@stonewulf2755 Not really. He admits he doesn't really have any political stances and kind of just accepts whatever argument he hears as fact. I think he's just uninformed on the importance of the 2nd Amendment.
You've got to think, he did live in NY for some years. Everyone thought (and some still think) Trump was pro-2A even though he passed more anti-2A legislation in 4 years than Obama did in 8, rubbed elbows with the Clintons through the 90s, and is a life long New Yorker.
I think they're both just uninformed products of their environments, but both are still funny.
Are we cosplaying "The Deer Hunter" today?
I sense some references to the "Jackal"
This is awesome man love the content
Great video mate always enjoy your content sending best wishes from England
Admin did actually catch me on the toilet this time... The shame... Also supposedly the copper base/ steel tip of the M885-A1 was supposedly accidentally designed definitely not on purpose to separate within a few inches of meat substance penetration, causing atleast two dispersing wound tracks, as long as the velocity is still within a certain threshold.... I'm sure 8,000 gel test videos of this exist, either proving or disproving this statement. Which I've probably watched and forgotten about, but this is my opportunity to potentially spread modern Fudd lore, and I will not miss my opportunity for glory! 🏆
Damn, they really leveled up the editing in here. I love it!
Thanks man!
The slo-mo is superb, A.R. Loved it.
Northern New Mexican here! I love your channel! Your videos always light my work day up. As it so happens, we have A lot of the same types of environment and building out here, and so does southern Colorado, so it'll take like a recoiless rifle or a 50 cal to knock down all the older buildings. The new ones are just cheap straight drywall at best and crack-house-chic atworst, but there's almost always something to hide behind like you said.
Love all that you do! Stay strong, Brother!
The fact the bullet cooked the armor after entering is interesting. I've never seen that before, is it the lack of lead?
honestly I have no idea? maybe the copper doing copper things?
I want to say that it's the hot bullet getting caught between the steel and the spall coating and just cooking that coating.
The abrupt stop turns a lot of the bullet's energy into heat. Copper is harder than lead and doesn't spatter as easily so it stays together and dumps that heat into it's surroundings. Copper is also a great thermal conductor with a high thermal mass so it can hold a lot of heat and transfer it to whatever it's touching.
Admin has really upped the the quality in these videos. This is the best editing and cinematography in all of GunTube. That slow motion footage of the pumpkin being shot is a big step up.
Loving the new slo-mo!!!!!!!!!! Keep it up sir!
Admin with those quick trigger pulls!! Delivering those results with the quickness and wrapping up the video under the allotted bathroom break time.

Unpopular observation:
Armor plates do not Expire. Only their warranty expires. But plates that haven't been abused will stop rounds.
Some of these materials are sensitive to moisture and Uv rays
There are many dangerous rumours and myths blindly regurgitated in the firearm enthusiast circles and this is one of them: Ballistic protection doesn't 'expire'. Perhaps after a few decades some adhesive does, or far earlier if you leave the plate out in direct sunlight but that's the only realistic scenario where it's ability to stop bullets is degraded. Bridges made from steel hundreds of years ago havn't fallen apart randomly nor have your dinner plates made from ceramic in the kitchen. It's a *warranty* and nothing more, undoubtedly the companies behind production of the armour don't curb these myths since it generates them more sales.
No no it's a fair point

That slomo was one of the best that i've seen in a long time
I was just chillin and after reading all the crap Larry Vickers has to deal with, I noticed that I love his Slo Mo Gun Porn shooting montages, where he shows the action blasting off and the belt is cycling those rounds like a Henry Ford factory line. I see that you incorporated a slo mo segment into your shooting of the brick before 2:20.. Great job. Made me feel good inside. Love your channel. Be safe.

Excellent slo mo!
Video Idea: you always see videos testing the performance of plates, but how about plates with the gear (Mags, radio, etc) in front of it? For instance, a PD may only issue level 2 soft armor, but will putting stuff on the load bearing Molle increase its effectiveness?
In theory, sure but you're not going to rely on a radio to stop bullets in any context.
@@noahjkeely No, but it may act as a barrier to initially slow down the bullet, making a lower level plate able to stop a higher rated projectile
Wait... The videos are not done in one take? Wow, I... I have no words... My whole world is upside down...
It actually is one long take. Admin manipulates space/time to do the stuff that looks like slomo and jump cuts. The real question is: what other tricks was he hiding behind that balaclava?
