    Vinegar and lemon juice break down seals in front loading washers. I use the dishwasher - it also cuts down on the noise!

    I loved this video. You might want to add something in the description about the change in pricing. I came across the video today and hopped on the website only to see that the 10 lb box is now $100 instead of $75.

    What srttings to you use on your dishwasher when washing baseplates?
    I just got a huge lot of 32×32 baseplates and they need cleaning.

    I heard you have to have your scales certified by some big brother agency to sell anything by the LB. Is that true?

    Do you have a particular ratio for the vinegar/lemon juice/borax for cleaning? I’d love to know for cleaning my own to get them shiny again.

    Doesn't the shine on the bricks get scratched up being tumbled together in the washer machine? I don't do any of that stuff when I get loose Lego I just soak em in hot water and bleach and then let them air dry on a towel works wonders for me :)

    • @MyOwnChannel92
      @MyOwnChannel92 Рік тому +1

      Slightly yes (according to Mohs hardness scale only harder materials scratch softer ones, and most Lego is ABS, so most bricks have the same hardness (newer windshields are an exception, they are way softer material or magnets in trainparts are way harder), but often the deeper cleaning gives older bricks more shine than they loose. Also you can use car polishing products, a clean cloth and some elbow grease to get them shining again. I do this on vintage parts like old greys all the time (but never on prints).

      I guess, that's impossible to really avoid. To lower the risk I have 4 different trash bins: One for Lego that's still usable, but not sellable (mostly heavy discolored but also cracked pieces; I use them as replacements for missing pieces in my personal builds), one for Off-brand (mostly Mega, but also all the Chinese stuff), one for other toy systems like Playmobil and one for obvious rubbish (including Lego broken beyond any use). And still I have lost a few pieces I only later found to be Lego like a Scala vase.
