I grew up watching Mike Harding in the 70s and I'm ashamed to say that I forgot how good he was. I'm so glad to have refound a hero of my youth. Mike, you're amazing,! God bless you.
This looks like the performance I first saw when I was a teenager on TV. I'm sure Mike had his own TV Comedy and music show back in the early 80s. Takes me back. Beautiful version of this song
I remember seeing this performance on TV back in the 80s and I was stunned at how brilliant it was and I still love it today ! Thanks for posting this !
I saw it in the 80s too, and loved it. Next day I ran my (cheap) Les Paul copy through an analogue phaser and an analogue echo unit to see if I could emulate that sound!
Black yes but not Hondo. In fact Kay. Known for making student grade budget guitars, though they produced higher quality professional instruments too.@@TheHumbuckerboy
@@srl6018 I do remember the budget Kay guitars. I had a Hondo 2 ; it was my first ever guitar that I gave to a nephew several years ago . I was then informed that the guitar was accidentally dropped recently on to a tarmac surface that destroyed it.
Mike Harding was a very talented comic and singer he still makes me laugh after listening to him for many years he is a great comic along side Phil cool Jasper carrot and les Dawson
It's my pleasure, Tony. The Rochdale Cowboy -- a man of many talents! Now while you're at it please give my version a listen and let me know what you think :o)
