Ceramic coatings are becoming popular these days. Some companies are asking a lot for their products but if the coating lasts a long time then it's worth checking out. Thanks for the information.
You need an update video because any spray coat can do what that does, what I want to. know is how long it lasts and how durable it is. Coming from a guy with the same truck and color
That's not a ceramic coating. It's an SiO2 sealant. The company is full of shit if they tell you any different. Carpro Cquartz UK is a ceramic coating. Gyeon Mohs is a ceramic coating. GTecniq Crystal Serum and Crystal Serum Light are ceramic coatings. I really wish people like you would stop perpetuating the marketing hooey companies are passing on to people who don't know any better and buy this stuff thinking they're getting a ceramic coating. There's a lot of very good SiO2 sealants, and the latest version of The Last Coat is one of them. But it's not a ceramic coating.
If the company told him it was a ceramic coating, why would he, as an average every day guy who is a mechanic, know any different? The public at large isn't going to break down car care products at a molecular level, so the criticism could be a little too rough in this case.
@@RustbeltMechanic Tried giving the product the benef of doubt. What's a true ceramic base if not SiO2? What are SiO2 resins? You're proving the bullshit. You may want to have a real 9h coating installed, but then you wouldn't get paid for it.
Is that one you would recommend? I do not get any payment what so ever from this company. They sent me their product to test for free with the raptor liner paint job
@@RustbeltMechanic I use and recommend Gyeon and CarPro coatings. Wouldn't suggest buying a 9h product and installing it yourself, as the prep is pretty extensive. Especially on a truck that isn't brand new. The coating will highlight every flaw in the finish without the prep. As far as ceramics, you can trust TAC System, CarPro, Gyeon, and Gtechniq. All offer excellent coatings that will protect the paint for years with minimal maintenance. If you simply want to see how a ceramic looks on your paint without going the full 9h route, consider CarPro Reload. It'll last for several months and give a good taste of what to expect from a 9h product. Angelwax Enigma is an SiO2 infused wax. A sample is less than $40 and very little product is used; you should be able to get several applications from it. The look is fantastic, it's fairly durable, and will also give a good idea as to what a 9h coating is like. I should add this: If one decides to install a 9h coating and mistakes are made, the only way to remove it is with an abrasive. Not a great idea.
This stuff is great for your average user. Too many people would be ruining thier paint with a 9H hardness. Just an example of thickness 9H is on your phones as a screen protector. That’s no joke to put on and imo not worth it. This stuff is just perfect for it.
Very impressive formula
Great video kyle
That’s a nice looking truck man
If only I had a decent paint job to protect. Maybe I'll order some anyway
It beads very nice
Making cleaning easier I's a major plus

Love your truck
Interested in how it would do with ice, I have a full raptor lined Dodge ram and that's my only struggle is getting ice and snow fully off
love the "come and take it flag".

I’d say it had a solid 4ish months it lasted with keeping its protective properties.
@@RustbeltMechanic Thanks I appreciate it
It’s all over Instagram
This episode, keeping your shades of grey.
Lol
You need to clear coat it

Use f11
This is not a ceramic coating. It's a SiO2 based sealant. A big difference.
It is not SiO2 based. It has SiO2 resins in its compound but is a true ceramic base. Words right from the company.
