It baffles me how that lady thought Sandi doesn't raise sheep for meat. Sandi ships lambs to the abatoire every Wednesday once they get to 100 pounds or so. And it's not like she doesn't say where they're going.
Sandi’s sheep actually go to auction where they can be bought for meat or as replacement/starter stock by other farmers…or I guess by hobby farmers as pets. But she has *always* been clear that most are sold for meat production. However she does try to not focus on that aspect as she accepts it but doesn’t like to dwell on it herself. Which is why she doesn’t go to the sell auctions. Like everyone else I don’t get how anyone thought Sandi raises upwards of 1000 lambs per year & sold them all as pets…year after year!🤯🙄 It’s not like she is raising any of the few breeds still prized for their wool either.

Love the video. I think the problem some people have is that they are out of touch with the industries that put food on their table. Everything in your local marketplace has to come from somewhere. Where do you think the coolers of meat come from? It just doesn't appear. It makes me wonder how they would react to the next part of the chain of supply of they are loosing their shit just knowing the animals are going to slaughter. My husband is a long haul trucker. Most of his jobs are hualing for Tyson on the central and east coast of the USA. Grocery stores, restaurants, pet food, and anything else that supplies meat to the public has to get the meat from somewhere and that all starts with a farmer. Tara, keep up the good work and remember that there are people that understand and appreciate everything you do. I think this week a nice lamb roast sounds just perfect for a treat.

Informational, drone shots, lamb cam, all good man, it’s fun to watch when you are stuck breastfeeding a baby. I grew up on a dairy farm but my pop had sheep at near Eruora. Hope last weeks rain was what you needed.
Looks like you need about a month of misty rain for 4 or 5 hours every evening for a month followed by regular rain for a month after that so it soaks in well. Also I've got most of the parts for the charger. I can make it USB-C 5V out and plug in to a car cigarette lighter socket. If you wand different connectors just say what you want.
if ya need some of the rain in your woods back on ya island, we over here in germany have one bloddy flod in our citys after another, can have some of ours
You are welcome to some of our rain from here, Nelson Bay, NSW, but I can't offer you any warmth. It's bloody cold here, but not quite as cold as your area.
Hello Tara, I'm very glad that Sandi introduced you to me. I truly enjoy your entertaining & educational content. My questions regard the paddocks. How many paddocks do you have? Are they all connected or are they are in various different areas? Do you only have one area with sheds, or are there several? I also appreciate the drone montages. They allow me to understand the beauty of the landscape and the movement of the sheep.
I’m not sure we have a lot of paddocks, yes they’re split up into different areas depending on their land title. Most are connected. And no we have 2 main area where we have wool sheds and equipment 😊

The drone footage always hits different for me too, thanks for including it! ❤
Don’t need warmth as much as rain! Slug is drying out!
