I know people say sheep are dumb, but I think Fiona is one smart cookie. She survived alone. She has the run of the big shed and sits contentedly chewing her cud and loving her life. We are her chosen people! ❤️🐑🌹🐑❤️

There is nothing that a herd animal hates and fears more than being alone. It's impossible for us to imagine the stress those lonely years put on Fiona. Now she relishes all the love and attention being showered on her by so many people. No sheep can be said to enjoy the process of being sheared, but if they're old enough to know what the before and after feels like, they come to terms with it. If they are kindly treated, they will will even walk up to watch their friends being done.

Oh my goodness. I left living on my grandpa's farm in 1969. He had a small herd of sheep, probably 40-50. I loved being in the sheep barn on shearing day. It doesn't look like the process has changed much since then. Thanks for the memories.
