Your internal inspections are the best bro. Most mainstreams reviews don't look at the internals :/ i want to know everything about the fans, RAM and SSD slots
Amazing review especially the display comparison, i realized the difference between 45NTSC and 100srgb from your comparisons. The red really looks like orange, and the DCI P3 makes the 100srgb screen looks like 45NTSC.
is a pretty nice laptop and its slim, plus 4lb of weight should be pretty good for moving alot with it ....weird that is a asia exclusive device so far...
These look nice. Would you say that the Xiaoxin/IdeaPad Pro 14/16 2024 are better devices? Are the all metal chassis like the ThinkPad+? I like the idea of a OLED screen with "proper black" (as I'm a programmer who likes dark mode).
What made you daily the 14 over the 16? Personally, 14 seems like the perfect size for a laptop especially when I have to pop it in my bag to travel with from time to time. My old laptop is the first generation Thinkbook 14s and it served me well and is still kicking pretty well.
Just bought this today and setting it up is a pain in the ahh. The one I got didn't have Windows pre installed and I just can't get the wifi to work on it after downloading every possible driver for this model from the official Lenovo site, transferring it from my old pc to the new one, and still it just won't work. It's insane to me that 2024, setting up windows on some machines is still so ridiculously bad. I have no idea what to do with this machine
Can we expect performance improvements with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 version? It will be launched with 880M igpu. This version will be released in Europe in December 2024
does it work well with linux? Thinking of getting one of these instead of a p16s because the resellers in my region can't be trusted with a nokia phone let alone a laptop
@MCPEngu1 bought a thinkbook 16p just after writing this comment, its an intel model with nvidia graphics. So far the only issues with it regarding ubuntu is the fact that it for some reason limits the gpu wattage to 60 max by default, prompting you to change it and the tiny mic mute led on the F4 button doesn't work
Thanks for the review! Could you please review last gens of ThinkPad 16 E/T series? They should be very upgradable in new gens, could beat Framework laptops.
@@iz723 Keyboard is replaceable for user now) Was watching lenovo repair video, it was awesome, just 6 screws and you are ready. Agree for screen, but I always try to take best screen from the scratch. Motherboard price is half price of new laptop, no sense at all. And all ports are already present.
Thanks for the great review. I'm on the verge of buying it but I need some advice please. Does it support tpm of any kind? I'd like to know whether valorant launches as it usually needs secure boot and tpm 2.0 if anyone could check. Thank you!
Nice review, Im using thinkbook 14+ too. This is very good and cheap laptop
Such a demonstrative visual actual comparison !!! Amazing !!! Nobody did it before here!
I’m glad it was useful 😀

45% NTSC is 65% sRGB, and 100% sRGB is about 70% DCI-P3
Lenovo has just released this one with the new Ryzen Strix Point chips at the IFA

*China exclusive to be accurate
It’s sold in Canada

when is ideapad 5 16in video dropping?
Thank you for the video
I have question
what is the opening angle of the screen and what is the maximum brightness?

not that great with Linux cuz of sleep issue and amd-pstate stuff

Thinkbook 16 Gen 7+ just announced today. There may be hope yet!
For a future video TGB can you do the lenovo slim 7i aura edition? They are claiming battery life is amazing
…. I’ve already purchased it 1 hour ago :p
Should arrive in an week or two
Are the RAM and Storage on this laptop upgradeable?
Yes to both it’s in the teardown section
I've been in dilemma to buy between Thinkbook 14+ 2024 or Xiaoxin Pro 14 2024. Same processor, same ram. What's your opinion?
Does the Xiaoxin Pro 14 have a better display?
@@steshaw6510 xiaoxin pro 14 use oled.. but i am settled and just preordered thinkbook 14+ at the end.
Where can I buy/import this laptop from?

Well they wont beat framework for upgradeability. Cant upgrade screens or motherboards/keyboards.

I really wish that the 16 inch wouldn't have the numeric keypad and put the touchpad in the centre 😢
nice review, thanks
So which is better - this one or xiaoxin 5 pro?
Xiaoxin 5 pro
@@TechGuyBeau thank you
You can’t buy it in Canada? Memory Express sells it
Not the same model, that’s a 16, not 16+
The latter isn’t a Canadian sku

Wait this is weird, the 16+ version, and I think 14+ too, should come with the port for the TGX, which is basically a PCIe port, but I didn't see it 😳
They have models with and without
@@TechGuyBeauGot it, I later saw it was only in the intel model, that's so confusing on Lenovo's part to have so many variants on the same name 😑
How did you import it? How much did it cost? Can i import it to india? How much is the import cost? How long will it take to arrive?
I brought it in from AliExpress. It took about 1.5 weeks to be delivered
@@TechGuyBeau pls name of the seller or link to the page with 14+ and 16+
@@TechGuyBeau which store did you use?
Thinkbook 16+ ULTRA 7 155H 32G+1T , cost 5500 RMB (770USD)in China with national subsidy.
You imported ccp spyware though, there's a reason why things go through certain importing processes
you are funny. lol
🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
What?
Tech guy beau, you gotta make a review of the new aura edition of the lenovo yoga slim 7i when it comes out. I'm honestly very excited about it
