    the biggest issue with tarkov is RAM. RAM is what will determine your performance more or less!
    back when lighthouse got released i upgraded from 16 to 32 gigs of ram, gained 20-30 fps, and it was running at 2666 MHZ
    and i now struggled with streets at that ram running stuttering 30-50fps.
    yesterday i assembled the same pc with a new mobo with 64gigs of DDR5 Ram running at (5600MHZ CL36 XMP), i went from massive stutters and streets at 40-57FPS Eating all of my ram to stutter free 71-110fps depending on if i am out in the streets or in a building.
    BTW before the upgrade of mobo and ram i was running streets in low detail street setting, after i am running without it
    my specs are Intel Core i7 13700F | 4070TI | 64Gig CL32 6400Mhz DDR5 RAM |

    Good video sir, about the overlay stats themselves, so to get each item to show in one group just tick that item, and make sure each one has the same group name. Does the overlay automatically display them in a row?
    I tried previously to group FPS, low 1% and max in one but it would only show live FPS
    Also if I want to see the core clocks of my cpu how do I get them to show vertically rather than side by side in one line
    Cheers

  • @MrJB31
    @MrJB31 8 місяців тому

    Noob here.
    Are you always going to be either CPU/GPU bound.
    What if you theoretically bought the best GPU/CPU combo there could be? You’d run the game at max settings and they would just handle it without either bottlenecking each other?
    That’s the perfection scenario right?

    • @klemintime1452
      @klemintime1452  8 місяців тому +1

      You will always be bottlenecked by your CPU or your GPU. The only other option is to be frame capped, and then, well.. that's the "bottleneck". No matter the build, something will always be the bottlenecking factor.
      Now, hypothetically, if there was a system that teetered just on the edge of that with say 95-99% GPU usage, that would be the ideal scenario. Having that shows there is near perfect balance between the CPU and the GPU in terms of processing time for the frame, and then you have what most would call a "balanced rig".
      Hope this helps and good question :)

      @klemintime1452  8 місяців тому

      Most games cannot utilize 8 or (in your case) 16 cores for a game. I'm assuming the stutters might be from the game switching CCDs on your CPU though. I'd try using process lasso to force tarkov to run on threads 0-15 and see how that works!

    • @klemintime1452
      @klemintime1452  8 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, the 7800x3d's cache is simply an absolute slam dunk for gaming. You can think of that extra cache giving the CPU more room for data it needs for its logic, lessening the amount of time it needs to worry about swapping data out of it (and thus improving responsiveness and performance). They are absolutely crazy for Tarkov and sadly often get overshadowed by the dominance of people seeing the "i9" branding.
      Glad you like the videos though and thanks for watching them! I appreciate it more than you know :D

      @@3limin8tor AMD has definitely gotten at least a bit more stable (as long as you have your bios updated after you build your PC). Thing is though, even with those lower RAM speeds, they are STILL trading blows with the i9s for gaming. Definitely users choice though, not to mention Intel still wins productivity for sure.
