Hello from Norway. Good video. Nice city you drive around in. I sold my scooter 2500watt on each wheel, ie 5000watt together. Mine had a seat and it is illegal in Norway. Maximum speed was 100Km / h. I managed 66Km / h measured accurately with Gps. I made a lot of movies on my channel. Now I have bike Enduro Leili speed 11.000watt 72volt 48ah a wonderful bike. But I miss my scooter. Therefore, I want to buy a new one. It will be Zero 10X with hydraulic brakes and LG battery. They are quite expensive but I understand that this is quality. Mine is ordered today,
Thanks for the review, I am a bigger guy considering buying one of these and your review helped a lot. The range is the most important thing for me and I reckon this would easily complete my daily commute without a charge in the middle. To achieve that range were you riding on one or 2 motors and were you in eco?
My pleasure! I actually have a Varla Eagle One (very similar to the 10x) and love it...I typically ride in gear one and the cruise control kicks in after about 10 seconds...this means I cruise at 32Km/hr or 20Mph ...which is perfect for my riding style :) How far do you have to go?
My commute is a 20-24 km trip depending which way I go, that’s each way. I can charge it at work should it be needed. In Australia the escooters and ebikes are limited to 25kmh. My route is fairly flat with a couple of steepish hills. I wouldn’t use it every day as I ride my bicycle too. I would also use it for errands and leisure use. I am around 115kgs.
@@carlbentley80 you should be golden :) with no range anxiety if you do a charge at work :) and it will eat the hills up :)...set cruise and you're golden :)
Hi Tim...I’m saving up now for a zero 10x 60v or a Wolf Warrior 60v .....I know there’s a price difference but out of the 2 which did you prefer and what would you purchase...?....👍
that's a very good question Jon and I think I need to compare the two...I have written it down and if there's a Zero 10x available I'll do a big guy comparison :) :) at present I like them both and would be happy with either ....but I'll do a proper comparison :)
Hi Tim just wanted to say I’m really enjoying your reviews. Also would love to see a review of the new Hero X8. When you say air filled tyres. Do you mean they are tubeless? Good video👍
Not that I'm aware of...you can make simple adjustments, like cruise control, set acceleration speed sensitivity etc....all done through the power button and mode button...like setting a watch :) Here's a link: electric-scooter.guide/guides/falconpev-zero-8-zero-9-p-setting/
I should be getting my zero 10x 24ah 60volt 1200 watt motor version in the next few days I cant wait. it's my first scooter so hyped. should be able to hit some high speeds weight 140 pounds

Hi Tim, about to trade my Zero 8 in for something else, tried the 9 and the 8x today. Any thoughts on the 8x? I really liked it but the 9 was still great too, better than the 8 in many ways. Having the dual motors though on the 8x i could see the potential to grow into into it as opposed to the 9 where i could possibly see myself upgrading again in another 3 to 6 months potentially. i don’t have stairs like you do so the additional weight not much of a concern, just the price jump! You said if you didn’t have stairs you would definitely be saving for a 10X so presume you appreciated the additional power under the hood also to your 9 and was something that interested you after trying it. You still stand by that or think your 9 will more than suffice for your needs?
Hi Glenn, terrific questions and observations :) I actually haven't tried the Zero 8x but as I understand it, it's a beast, bigger suspension, I think for off road too :) I actually find I'm happy with the Zero 9...price point, weight, speed etc fits my needs so I don't see upgrading anytime soon. The Zero 8 review is going to be done next weekend (I did the Mercane Wide Wheel Pro review yesterday and will be editing it today for release next weekend). Have you tried the Zero 10? The reason I ask, is that if range anxiety is an issue the 10 with the bigger 18amp hr battery might suffice...it's a little bit faster than the Zero 9, bigger tires, and I suspect cheaper than the Zero 8x...just a thought. I also like the Zero 9 because I can whip into grocery stores, etc and it doesn't seem to bother people...but that's probably just me...who knows maybe I would do the same with the Zero 11 X...it's coming soon :) What did you think of the Zero 8x? I'm hoping to try one out soon :) Last thoughts...the Zero 10x is a dream machine but totally different than the Zero 9 I would probably ride it in a different way, more like a motorcycle than a bike lane scooter if you know what I mean :) Let me know :) Cheers Tim
Great video, beautiful place. I'm also in between Zero 9 and 10x. That Cadillac feel of 10x is just amazing. I live in Istanbul, roads here are pretty awful so I feel like I need that extra bounce here BUT the weight just scares me a lot. Because I'm planning to do small trips, taking trains and buses to reach outskirts of the city and use the scooter there. But I'm not sure if can handle that weight in public transportation. Have you change your Zero 9? Because you still having Zero 9 encourages me to get it. Or do you think swapping the handle bar to a folding one and a Velcro to lock the stem when it folds makes it portable enough?
Really good questions...I think of the roads are as bad as you describe that the Zero 9 might give you flat tires...maybe look at the Emove Cruiser? portable...long range Here's my review here: ua-cam.com/video/g6JWKhZ_gZ8/v-deo.html Enjoy :)
I'm a BIG GUY myself. Around 115 kg 185cm. Ordered mine 10x 60v 21ah samsung battery. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Ordered a steering damper as well straight away, heard it's not that stable at high speeds, so damper is a must. But what about folding clamp? Should I get reinforced one or there is no need for it? Awesome Reviews Tim. Some love from Lithuania!
wow....I think you're going to love it...I'll be doing a review/comparison very soon of the Zero 10x vs 10xLtd ....and will add your question to the video if that's ok :) I actually don't know the answer yet but will check into it when I shoot the video...could be a couple of days as we're supposed to get cold here again tomorrow :(

Thanks for the review as I’m similarly sized and looking at a 10X. 👍🏼👍🏼. I’m wondering what the real world differences are between the standard mechanical disc brakes and the hydraulic upgrades. It’s a lot of extra $.
Having never ridden a scooter with mech brakes, only hydraulic, and being a mountain biker, I can say that if you can, always go with hydraulic. The extra control that you get from hydraulic brakes is worth it. Especially at speed, it's so comforting knowing that you don't have to go hard on the brakes to get good stopping power.
interesting and thank you for your perspective :) much appreciated...makes sense that you'd know...mountain biking is big out here...stopping is probably helpful :)
@@TimsElectric How do you like the 11x? I am 6'3" and pretty large myself, thought about getting an 11x or a 10x. The 11 is a lot more $ but the dual stem handlebars seems nice
My personal scooter is the Zero 9 yes :). Timothy West Thanks for your response. I know many factors play into one’s choice in a scooter, yet it seems the two fold challenge is to not underbuy and not overbuy as well. You just never know when you may want more range to take a trip or a group ride. Without being able to test them, it’s a bit hard to try and come to a conclusion. Ugh! Thanks again.
completely agree....I go to averages...not exceptions...when choosing....so for me...my regular range (anticipated) was about 4-6 kms (grocery store, bank, soccer pitch etc.) with the longer trip being to UVIC (16 kms round trip), plus the ability to carry it easily up lots of stairs meant the 9 was a winner for me...but...if money, garage space etc....then the Zero 10X would be on my wish list :) Best of luck with your decision :)

I'm 225 and i commute on the Turbowheel Lightning+ which is the upgraded version with better batteries and all that, and I only get around 20 miles of safe range on dual motor, turbo mode speeding around 15-20 MPH. I was definitely disappointed with the range. The scooter otherwise is very solid.
