    after 2 years and about 4700km of distance, i'm planning to upgrade my m365 pro 2 to vsett 10+. actually dualtron was my dream but after i see reviews and videos (and needless to say, how it looks) now i consider DT might be overpriced for its specs. (feel free the prove me wrong everyone. to me, DT is rolls-royce of the scooters, but i am greatly shifting to this model - also i really dont need speed over 60ish km/h.)
    does vsett 10+ still a good deal in '23? also do you have knowledge about its maintenance easy as the pro 2? because for last 2 years i did all the maintenance of mine (except i couldnt figured out the creaking sound comes from/around the folding mechanism and i couldt replece front tire to solid one alone)
    final one (i'm sorry); how does vsett's 10x3 inch tires cope up with the wet surface (or any, in general) compared to 8.5 inch-as the pro 2 uses? (because i never rided before)
    any answer would be greatly appreciated - have a great ride!

      Thank you so much James!
      Those are both great scooters, but very different rides. The Ghost is super sporty and has adrenaline-rush inspiring acceleration. The Cruiser will get you places just as fast, but is much less intense on acceleration and is much more of a chill ride. Longer range for the cruiser, but higher top speed for the Ghost. The Ghost will handle huge bumps better than the Cruiser, but the Cruiser has all the suspension you need for normal on-road riding. -Paul

    It was between the VSett or Dualtron Eagle Pro on CL for $1600 with 130 miles. Had a couple extras too like Carbon fender and handle.
    The Eagles pro I've hit 38 mph on long stretches of road and 42 downhill. I'm 230 lbs so it still moves me quick.
    VSett is no joke it's a VERY good scooter which I highly recommend to anyone looking for one. I might have gone with it if it weren't for the great deal I got with the Eagle Pro.

    Great review but I disagree with the whole break throttle thing. You can adjust the throttle and lower it some more. It has 4 screws and the throttle and break will be at a great angle. I purchased two of yhese scooters and have had them for months now. I'm hitting 28 mph in gear 1, single motor so I know this thing can hit 50mph if you are 150lbs easily. 😀

  • @strive4208
    @strive4208 2 роки тому +16

    I’m at 1850 miles on my 10+ and still love it but the handlebars needed to be replaced as well as the suspension. The vinyl inserts on the shock mount points are worn down needing replacement and the metal coils aren’t hardened properly so as you increase the resistance it doesn’t last long and you end up having to do it more, I have already lost half the travel distance just trying to keep it stiff. The loose handlebar wobble mixed with the suspension issue makes for a very unstable ride especially at 40+ so unfortunately they will need to be replaced and in my opinion sooner is better, I haven’t wiped but I got really close to a high speed crash because of the combination of those issues. As for the speed limits I’m not sure what’s up with the differences between the results of this video versus my scooter because I ride on a 45mph road that everyone does 50-55 on and I keep up with traffic so my scooter definitely seems closer to if not faster than 50mph based on traffic but I realize that’s just anecdotal so I’ll have to gps that later to see, also I’m only 155lbs and I imagine that they hit those speeds with a light rider. My car has been sitting in the parking space for 3 months without driving it once… I actually look forward to my daily commute now and that’s something I never thought id hear.. yes the 10+ is awesome! Can’t say anything about the 10x because the 10+ is my first scooter but I don’t have any buyers remorse.✌️🛴💨

    So you test the Vesett 10+ on default settings and fail to use the sport mode which provides 5+ extra amps from each controller which is what gives it its top speed rating of 50mph (depending on weight)? I weigh 186 and managed to get up to 46 mph (gps confirmed) on level ground. I have no doubt it could do 50mph with a lighter driver. Also, mine came with Nutt brakes and does not have the same issue you presented as a gripe. And the handlebar don’t loosen that quickly on mine if you crank them down good. They can develop some high speed wobbles but I addressed that with a steering damper and now it’s perfect.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 роки тому

      Sport mode was on for all tests except for the range test, obviously, since that's two hours long. It's mentioned that some scooters come with Nutt and some come with Zoom. The point being, if you get one with Zoom it will require less reach to the throttle.
      Weight doesn't really affect terminal velocity if your runway is long enough, since terminal velocity is 99% related to wind drag and only 1% rolling resistance (no acceleration component in calculating V-terminal). There could be some effect due to how much wind one blocks, but that will have more to do with height than weight.
      All in all, it's a really great scooter. Don't get me wrong. I love the thing. -Paul

    • @JAYDAM
      @JAYDAM 2 роки тому

      @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I have noticed an increase in power in sport mode after a few battery charging cycles which might account for the difference versus brand new. Perhaps the battery has a break-in period and/or controllers that contributes to the boost in performance. Braking-wise, either one is going to get the job done. I would say not that big of a deal. The main place I notice is that the reserviors take up more space, forcing the trigger to be higher. This bugs some people more than others and some aren't bothered by it at all. -Paul

    Do you guys think the wolf king is worth the 700 dollars more than the vsett 10+

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  2 роки тому

      Great question! I love both scooters. The Wolf King is freaky-fast, and just on another level in terms of acceleration. But, the King also has a much more abrupt throttle and is an absolute beast to move around. If you are a total throttle junkie, the King may be worth it. But the 10+ is still super fun on the throttle and satisfying to ride. I'm looking at both of them in the office right now. If I think about grabbing them and riding them, I look at the Vsett10+ and say "lets go". I look at the King and say "are you sure you're up for this right now?" It's that much of an intense machine, that if you are on the King in top performance mode, you have to keep all of your attention on the ride all the time. The Vsett10+ is still sporty, but lets you chill for a minute if you need to. I'm looking forward to the King GT, to see if the throttle has smoothed out. If so, it could be best-of-both-worlds amazing. -Paul
