Both Katsumi Ishizuka and Akihiro Ota did a fantastic job with this scene. Ishizuka did the storyboard and Ota the animation, both of them are super talented.

The west has given it this strange secondary meaning to only talk about animation that stands out, but it literally just means "Drawings." Same with Key animation. Key animation is just the drawings (Key Frames) that sculpt the overall movement of a shot. versus Inbetweens which are drawings added between the keys that fill in the movement to make it more smooth. You don't generally get smooth movement without inbetweens so Gotta show love to the unnamed inbetween artists too.

What I like the most about this is the the intention at which Luffy comes at Kaido. No warm up no warning just straight hands flying.

@@cantouchdis6980 Sorry to burst your bubble, but those words "Sakuga" and "Key animation" Aren't really special words. They're animation jargon.
Every scene in One Piece has "Sakuga." The west has given it this strange secondary meaning to only talk about animation that stands out, but it literally just means "Drawings." Same with Key animation.
Key animation is just the drawings (Key Frames) that sculpt the overall movement of a shot. versus Inbetweens which are drawings added between the keys that fill in the movement to make it more smooth. You don't generally get smooth movement without inbetweens so Gotta show love to the unnamed inbetween artists too.

The fck are you talking about? They keep repeating the exact same animation scene between Gogeta and Broly, only with One Piece characters superimposed over the DBZ characters instead.
They've just reused the same scene about 8 times in a row. I knew exactly what was about to happen before I even watched the clip. Oh and spoiler alert, I know exactly what's gonna happen in the next fight they animate (exactly the same as this)
