The Julius Kantrovitch side is very interesting... if I remember correctly he led a cinema pit orchestra in outer London and also made a few dance records for Piccadilly. There are a number of brilliant recordings by these lesser-known Piccadilly bands from late 1929 and early 1930 - many seem to only have been under contract for one or two sessions.
Funny to think that 1930 was the year that record sales completely collapsed due to radio and the Wall Street crash and were at an all time high in Britain.
Heaven must tastes like these musics.
