This is a study on how to say so little while talking so much. Is there a more reimbursement if the video is longer? If someone is an alien from another planet, the first 5 min may be new, otherwise, go pass them up, and then prepare to fast forward now and again.
There is something screwed up in the script at 0:48, either the production & editing of these videos are automated, or it's being done by people who don't understand the language they're producing videos in. My guess is the script is written in one language, run through machine translation, then run through a voice generator and slapped on top of video. Not a lot of what's said is grammatically correct, and none of this is checked before release. I'm turning off any future suggestions for this channel.
I made two cruises as a Marine on the USS Boxer (LPH-4) in the early "60s. Back then, the heads discharged into the ocean. I am sure of this because any time you looked over the side of the ship water could always be seen being discharged into the sea. Once we anchored in Kingston Harbour, Jamaica, and boys paddled around the Boxer, begging us to throw coins down to them. They dove to recover the coins. We were somewhat taken aback by this, because you could see turds floating in the water. That didn't seem to discourage the kids diving for the coins. Another thing to be considered is whether the Navy still handles trash the way it used to. Every morning the bosun piped reveille followed by the same announcement: "Reveille, reveille. Heave out. Trice up. Get a clean sweep down, fore and aft. Sweep down all ladders and passageways. Empty all trash over the fantail (stern)." People on mess duty used to heave all galley leavings over the fantail as well.
Ships are always discharging water for various reasons. Treatment is much better now, when I was on hospital ship in Jamaica the water we were putting out was cleaner that what we took in. our water actually got contaminated and they had to barge it to us daily. And for trash nor anywhere near as much goes over side. Plastic is collected and molded in manhole cover size discs that are off loaded in port. Aluminum, etc is crushed and bailed. They also have onboard incenerators that are "clean".
Compared to when I was in the Navy in the 70s, they now have "mansions" to live in but don't get me wrong, I think that's more than an improvement, and in regards to the clogged lines, I remember an engineer saying: 'There are those who design, those who build and those who have to work with it, if only they all were the same person"
I served 3 years and 6 Months on an Aircraft Carrier and never even though about it. I waited longer to use the bathroom at home than waiting on the Head.
That last problem could be corrected with low voltage inline mini grinders. larger versions play an important part in most residential systems today. There's a motor driven impeller/pump installed at the very bottom of an 500 gallon raw sewage storage tank. When a max level is reached a float connected to a few switchs turns on the power. In a short time it chops and pumps out all the solid waste under low pressure so it can travel more freely through a series of 3" pipes ending up in a water treatment plant or lagoon. This of course depending on the design 🙂
hate to be on the team that has to clean those grinders when something get entangled with it... there is always someone who flushes a cinder block into a toilet or a bunch of wet rags.
Spent 16 years on ships and never gave it a second thought, except when they clogged I felt sorry for the "Turd Chasers" (HT's) in my day. I do remember long cruises where it was a game or a challenge for a mystery person or persons to leave behind the longest, well you know. You needed to watch out for the ones that came up all the way out of the bowl.
Every cruise I was on had a phantom shitter at some point during as well. I was Airwing, and we actually had a phantom shitter dump on top of a hornet...impressive i must say.
Ahhhh disgusting . I want was tricked by my boss hollering come in here come in here while he was in the bathroom I came in there like what’s wrong what’s wrong he pointed to the toilet and it was a big monster superman S in the toilet
I served two years aboard ship (smaller than a carrier)in the ‘60s & thought it was pretty good duty. Where did the human waste go? Actually I never gave it a single thought until now.
$400.000 Dollars is pocket money on an aircraft carrier worth $13 Billion dollars. Before you started I was thinking $100+ Million dollars for the sewage system.
All these sailors on here and many of them didn't think anything of the sewage. Then I realized, the guy who ran the sewer treatment plant on board wouldn't be YouTubing, "How the Navy Sailors Poop", like we all did. ha ha
Oh I had the shitty job of helping the HTs clear the CHT lines. I was an MR2 and had the great job of working on the pumps and comminutors. Lots of fun. And you always checked with the EOOW before pumping, because they could be running the evaporators, or RO system for ships water.
Its going to crush this dude when he relizes ships are allowed to.dump raw sewage in the ocean, not to mention hiw he screwed up how the head was named
Not really sure what you are/were using as footage BUT... @4:37 you start out by saying "..the US government as issued..." the video footage used there is NOT that of the US Flag. it has 15 strip es and NOT 50 stars. SO, what gives??? No, really...WTF?!
I talked to my father about this and he told me that the ocean is the biggest toilet in the world and need not worry about it, interesting but true if you think about it. In HAWAII, what they do, is flush it out to see, because the fish will eat it or the crabs will eat it when it falls to the bottom of the ocean, either way human manure can't be used only cow and chicken manure can be used as my father was a chist. And in NYC IT is flushed out to sea, because if they put a in the ground it will go to the water table and contamie it, no good. Man has a way of getting rid of harmful things.
When I was a kid the adults told us that in the future the sea would feed us because it was an unlimited food supply. Now we are extincting species at sea and fighting the occaissional war over what is left. I'm afraid to say your dad is probably wrong. Man has a way of fucking everything thing he touches. To date we've been too successful as a species.
According to one source the Russian Admiral Kuznetsov has frequent problems with their heads thecrew are lucky if half of their heads are down that is is considered normal.
So you pooped while actually swimming? And instead of just getting out of the creek to poop, you thought that the creek was a better place to drop your deuce? Then a walking fish (as opposed to a normal swimming fish) came along and had a snack? And of course you were standing around admiring your #2 and that's why you noticed the fish? I think you should be explaining this story, not us.
Are all navies that concerned with the disposal of their poop? Somehow I doubt it. I can’t think of the Chinese being that conscientious about their sanitary requirements.
I'm guessing the script for this video was written in one language, machine-translated to English, then run through a voice generator and slapped on top of video. Not a lot of what's being said makes sense grammatically.
Bad dad joke/nonsense alert! How do sailors poop on an aircraft carrier? Why one at a time. Any more than that the water pressure drops in the ship, creating a vacuum, and sticking sailors to see the toilets seat .😜🤪

@@jeffj_39 me too!! I stopped at 2.15
As soon as I hear those grating nasal accents I know it’s going to be a sh11111111111111111t clip.
Thanks man ,I stoped at 1:20.

Serious waste of my time and i only saw your comment after😂😂😂

I was on the Inchon and Nassau. I thought they used salt water. I could be wrong
Just like civilians do. When I was aboard the Ranger it was dumped in the ocean when at sea and went into the sewer system on base when in port.
Thanks. You just saved me 10 minutes
I was on the ranger cv61 last Westpac operation southern watch operation restore hope somalia

Scuttlebutt says that the latrine flush is carried directly to the food prep kitchens...

Never answered the basic question of how much is treated/discharged per day.
1 shit a day work it out

Shit detail?

USS Intrepid 1971-1974 ours went over the side along with garbage off the fantail.
Late 80's same thing
I served two years aboard ship (smaller than a carrier)in the ‘60s & thought it was pretty good duty. Where did the human waste go? Actually I never gave it a single thought until now.

Before you started I was thinking $100+ Million dollars for the sewage system.
Piping should be made centralized that way it prevent clogging by using large pipeline added with pump to fully unclog the system
working inside an aircraft carrier is like staying in a 5 star hotel
Now you know why those huge fishing trawlers follow aircraft carriers .... sardines, cheap at Walmart .
All these sailors on here and many of them didn't think anything of the sewage. Then I realized, the guy who ran the sewer treatment plant on board wouldn't be YouTubing, "How the Navy Sailors Poop", like we all did. ha ha
Having been on many cruises, the sewage system is a vacmn type system which is interesting to say the least
5,000 sailors' poop is much more interesting than anything Kaitlin Bennet does.
Poop goes down to the poop deck.
In early 90's the process was WAY different. Lol....
LMAO! what a subject! Don't you know? Squids never have to poop!
I would have thought they would have a system to separate the liquids then burn the solids.
who authoriezed this classify information? :)
This guy sounds like he really knows his @#$% .
5000 sailors leave port, 2500 couples return to port...lol.
So it is delt with the same as any city that has city sewer treatment plants. How amazing 😂
Who the heck really wants to know this?? We crap off the side of the boat ok🤪
Bobby Darren answered the question in his song "Somewhere Beyond the Sea".

I was on 3 carriers. Sailors go “poop” on the shitter lol
There is always the poop deck.
Gonna need to be on the poop deck.
Its going to crush this dude when he relizes ships are allowed to.dump raw sewage in the ocean, not to mention hiw he screwed up how the head was named
Russian navies poop goes directly to the ocean water.
yeah, I figured the russkies did that, not a lot of money spent on russian military 'conveniences'.
Not really sure what you are/were using as footage BUT... @4:37 you start out by saying "..the US government as issued..." the video footage used there is NOT that of the US Flag. it has 15 strip es and NOT 50 stars. SO, what gives??? No, really...WTF?!
Dumping in the ocean forever getting scared of seafood
Outhouses and catholes in Nam..These sailiors it made. In the field we walked 50' from our howitzer and pissed.

I think we all know why sometimes, Dozens and dozens of dead dolphins wash up on the beaches.
According to one source the Russian Admiral Kuznetsov has frequent problems with their heads thecrew are lucky if half of their heads are down that is is considered normal.
submarines do not have the space for processing. bilge?
On the " POOP DECK" ? 😧😂
Like who is checking in the middle of the ocean whats being dumped.
Suppose some 'bad' food is served? Yikes!
Toilet paper like sandpaper
Poop goes down to the poop deck!
Toilets on a submarine 😅
It goes to the fans of their enemies
What do pipes dumping in a creek have to do with ships. I mean really.
There are just some things I don't want to know 😂😂😂
I think it's interesting that you mentioned Marines on board an aircraft carrier, but didn't mention female sailors once. By interesting I mean sad.
I remember most of time the head was wet on the floor from water sloshing out of commodes uss intrepid
Its goes into the ocean, and later our stomach once we eat the fish😂
One time I pooped swimming in a creek and a fish walked up to it and started nibbling. Explain that.
So you pooped while actually swimming? And instead of just getting out of the creek to poop, you thought that the creek was a better place to drop your deuce? @Tariq Reid Truth is stranger than fiction. A fish just ran up and started eatin poo idk what to tell ya.
And Where Does It Go? DAVY JOHONS LOCKER.
They store it on the poop deck.
Enclosed toilettes?? man things have changed
Cruise ships have built in waste processing.
M P G A = Make poop great again
They need bidet seats help sailors keep clean and cut way down paper. I don’t understand why every household doesn’t have kohler washlet $99
Are all navies that concerned with the disposal of their poop? Somehow I doubt it. I can’t think of the Chinese being that conscientious about their sanitary requirements.
There was poor design on the Ford, and the extra cost of $400,000 a year in acid to flush them. My question, did they fix this in the next carriers?
your information is incorrect.
You can diverted it over board
What about the chlorine that kills fish
Don't need to worry about that, we're having the best law & regulations concerning about the environment !
No chlorine used to flush shitters n pissers. Salt water flushing system. Salt water used in firefighting systems too
They go on the poop deck.
I need to go take a scat- howard vanever
It goes back to Nature Dum Dum...
5 minutes in and you have barely given any info...Seriously..you repeated yourself a bunch of times....
Where do the really tall Sailors sleep? Not all Sailors are average height.
My guess,,is the toilet.
Holy shit! All that just to go to war.
Very carefully
How stupid, I was on 2 carrier's they have restrooms just like any
You have to go outside to poop on a submarine.
😂
This video is 8 minutes of unnecessary yapping.
Waaaay to complicated for the job that's to be done
What happens when the sewage treatment system is broken?
It gets fixed really fast! 😉
Whatever happens, it’s a sh*ty job
Same thing cities routinely do- dump raw sewage into waterways
8:50 - WTF? Cyrillic?
IS THE PACIFIC OCEAN TOO SMALL FOR YOU?
You didn't really explain anything to us. You just tossed around a lot of words.
Good to know about.
😊
Sailors poop? All this and they know all the pronouns too. My, my.
They poop sitting down
Where does whale poop go? There's your answer.
He is more informative than Kamala Harris
Why are you calling sailors "officials?" and WTF is going on with your dialogue at 0:48 ?
Just pollutes the world
A few turds floating around in an ocean is hardly an issue. The marine life defecates just like we do after all.
Are there Somebody ELSE'S Sailors on boards a US Navy Ship, much less a CVN???
Pretty sure they have personnel exchanges with allied navies for combined operations training.
Had a few Israeli pilots on CVN- 69 for short training never saw foreign crew members in late 80's
Just poop or pee in unfrequented parts of the ship.
4:35 Baltimore
The commentator is obviously not aware that on land the sweage is also processed. The process does not end when you flush.
I'm guessing the script for this video was written in one language, machine-translated to English, then run through a voice generator and slapped on top of video. Not a lot of what's being said makes sense grammatically.
Ok there are some things we really don't need to know ! This is one of them OK !!!
Clearvac International UK for hygiene services
Running out of content
With lots of sharks ,in the dark!
With their butts
O was a turd chaser
It took you a very long time to get to the point of this story, 👎👎👎.
Bad dad joke/nonsense alert!
How do sailors poop on an aircraft carrier? Why one at a time. Any more than that the water pressure drops in the ship, creating a vacuum, and sticking sailors to see the toilets seat .😜🤪
How many Transs people in the woke navy 🤣🤣
Who cares?
