Hey, Last year I stopped posting because I wasn't happy, I wanted to put more effort into videos but realised that over-engineering DayZ was actually making the videos worse. The next video will be DayZ but am just playing the game now, as I originally did, without trying to make some epic adventure. Am recording on the Frankies Hideout server that DayZ Aftermath are hosting. It’s geared for recording but has a good admin team behind it, a great mod-set and sticking around could be worthwhile as it will likely be whitelisted for regular players in the future. Anyway! To solve the unhappiness, I figured I would put a lot of effort into a War Stories video because effort into those kinda just enhances them. Problem was, last year I knew no 3D and I knew that I wouldn't be able to show what I wanted to show without an OK knowledge. A few photos over gaming footage wasn't going to cut it. I could see that it was going to be a lot of work and that there was no way I could do learn it at the same time as posting content - It turned out to be a ridiculous amount of work. A lot of this video was made with Unreal Engine / Houdini and Houdini for me had a really hard learning curve. BUT! I have an OK knowledge now, and am looking for people to help who have skills in: Thumbnail Design (matte painting, compositing and 3D knowledge as well as 2D photoshop skills) - After Effects Animation (of the style in the video) - 3D Scene Setup / Lookdev (doesn’t matter if you use Blender, Maya, C4D Octane etc.) - Project Management - Assistant Editing (Premiere Pro) Hopefully this should let me focus on getting DayZ content and writing / storyboarding the next Story videos. Send me an email if you have Degree level knowledge of the above (portfolio essential), have initiative, are organised and always hit deadlines. Will be posting at a rate am able to finish things now. Sometimes it appears stuff isn’t being done, but I wasn’t happy with things before and feel can get a nice blend of quality Story videos and gaming content now. Thanks for sticking around, I do appreciate it, because it is strangely very stressful not posting! Catch you in the next video! Frankie
Yeah this was a great watch. Well researched and presented. Just as a matter of style and respect on the topic (importance, the dead, etc.): 10% less sensationalism and 10% less admiration in narration. Maybe also 10% less "memefication" and all of that put into seriousness of the presentation of the topic.
This, this is the greatest type of content I will ever gorge myself in, let's plays and gameplay videos have burnt out on, but History? Man, history will never get old to learn about. Frankie, I've been watching you ever since I was in middle school in America, around 11-12, I'm 22 years old now and and just as impressed and excited to watch your videos. I'm sorry you weren't happy with your videos and we as your fan base don't want you to be stressed to upload or feel as if you need too. You are a living legend in our eyes if you upload or not. I'm happy to just hear your voice and to know you're alive because at this point, you're like a old relative of mine that I see every now and again. Love you Frankie!!
Foreman centuries, port boats and local ships plying up and down rivers had to put the tree rudder on the right side of the boat. It was called the steer board. The pronunciation went from steerboard to STARBOARD. To keep from jamming g the rudder against the piers or shallow side of the river, the boats would pull over the PORT side to meet the pier.
I'd love to see you cover HMS Warspite like this, Britain's most famous warship deserves all the recognition we can give her. It's just a shame the grand old lady wasn't saved from the scrappers.
As a regular viewer of ww2 history videos this has to be the one ive learned the most from. He explained everything in such a unique way that made it more relatable and therefore easy to understand. Love it
and here I thought he had a knack for gaming videos. This might actually be one of the best WW2 videos I've watched in terms of being entertaining AND informational.
This was very very well done. I’m a big WWII historian, and I learned a lot that I didn’t know. The images were spectacular, and even a little humor didn’t hurt either. Looking forward to more videos on this subject matter!!!👍😁
Hope frankie knows that we love any content he makes! I loved it when he used to do war stories. And just glad he's okay! Hope to see more from him of whatever he wants to do
I’ve watched you since I was 13 years old. I’m now 24 and I have a degree in history. As a fan of you and a historían now as well, this was a great video. I love how you are carving your way into this niche with a comedic spin that is severely lacking in the history section of UA-cam. Hope to see this take off.
I am watching midway through the video and I am beyond shocked on how amazing it is, I cannot imagine how much effort and hours it must have taken for you to make it, Absolutely phenomenal video, Frankie, It is outstanding.
I remember the day Frankie came back and how I felt. It was exonerating! Then silence.... Once again I was disconnected from UA-cam, no other creator could make me feel the way Frankies videos did. Over time i began to accept that life has its requirements and he has to put himself first overall. Then boom today i scroll through UA-cam and i see it, his logo then *posted 2 days ago*. I was ecstatic, clicking on the video almost instantaneously. Just to have a rush of Dopamine once again. Best feeling ever.... Thank you Frankie, Truly
This is so cool. You have such a pleasant voice and I love these types of documentaries. I've never seen such an interesting documentary with this level of comedy. Keep them coming!
I’m only halfway into the video and wow, no shade at other wartime story channels but the animations, 3D design details are just incredible. Fair play to a Frankie this video is actually enjoyable and has got me excited for the future videos! Congrats man and thank you for coming back 💙💙
WELCOME BACK FRANKIE!!!! we’ve all missed you. I hope you’re feeling better and ready for a new chapter. We will love whatever content you decide to post!!
My father was a Naval Reserve officer during WWII and was on duty at the Naval Experiment Station when the USN test-fired its 18" naval rifle. It was decided not to build any 18"-gun-armed battleships to counter Yamato and Musashi because the USN already had 24 Essex-class carriers commissioned or building and battleships without air superiority, which Japan had lost by early 1943, were extremely vulnerable. In short, the USN tactical doctrine for ha dling Japanese BBs was to sink them with concentrated air attacks.
Frankie, what an absolute banger of a video! We all might have fell in love with the channel because of your great gaming videos, but these historical breakdown videos are a very exciting and entertaining edition to the channel. Great work man, you never fail to deliver something fun and entertaining
I cannot over stress how much I love to see this again. It brings me back to better times hearing you tell stories over clapping bambis before the break. Really glad your back brother.
It was kinda crazy the clip of the AA units firing at parachuting troops. Anyway, it’s great to have you back, Frankie. I’m sure it’s safe to say that whatever you decide to do, everyone is gonna appreciate that you at least have updated us on your life. Like many, I’ve watched you since I was in like 5th grade (I’m 21 now) and anytime I see you, it strikes my nostalgia like no one else.
Literally anything your imagination decides to cook up I am here for. Your storytelling is insanely captivating. Doesn't matter to me if you post tomorrow or next year, it's a good day when you do.
It's good to have you back, Frankie! Can't wait to watch your content again, no matter the changes. I've always loved your videos and the stories you've told through them, no matter if it was your earlier work or the latest ones. I'm glad you've chosen to do it the way that makes you the happiest rather than what you think us fans want. We want to be able to see and feel your passion for your work through watching your videos! Happy to have you back dude!
We miss you a lot Frankie! We hope you can get back into the swing of things. I'm personally looking forward for the future for you and what is in store!
good to see you back man. To be honest, I'd happily just watch you play, build a base, gather resources etc exactly as the game is intended. As you said, the extra effort wasn't really worth it, so just have fun and I think plenty will enjoy the content.
honestly frankie puts out the best and most interesting videos ive ever watched on yt and ive been on yt for at least 10 years or more, frankie your content is simply the best ive ever seen and i can see your effort going into your videos, we all love to see you uploading and enjoying it once more and if theres anything we as fans can do im sure everyone here would be happy to do whatever we can, myself included. Thank you for the amazing content throughout my childhood and highschool life and into my early 20s.
That scene was so hilarious. "The gun has never been tested!" Right, so you just went directly from the prototype phase and mounted it on a warship. Logical.
Wow 7 months ago this video was uploaded? cant believe theres been barely any videos since. It would be cool if Frankie just updated people with whats hes doing on twitter or something like Sada does
There were meant to be for yamato class battleships. Yamato, musashi, shinano, and shokaku. Yamato and musashi were built as battleships, and shinano was later converted into a carrier. Shinano was never finished before it was sunk, musashi sunk at leyte gulf, and yamato sunk during operation ten go. Shokaku was never built
Wow I clicked on this video not even realizing it was FrankieonPcin1080p. Hearing that voice was so nostalgic. Glad to see you’re still doing UA-cam Frankie 🙏🏼
Frankie Ive been subbed to your channel since my freshman year of highschool, in the dayzmod days. Out of everything youve posted so far this has been my favorite. I never thought how much id love your form of speaking, as nostalgic as it is, talking about something i love like history. this was amazing. I genuinely would love to see more of this.
If Japan and Germany and Italy come together like the alies did and put their battleships and aircraft carriers together it would have been a different result
This was one of the best War videos I've ever seen. I subscribed right after watching this only to see that this is a one off video. Please dedicate more time to these kind of productions. The 3d models, the tank v battleship size comparison, the map animations, and the metal gear sounds.. Awesome.
same story new year, if its not your overbearing job its your overbearing youtube career, man we wait for years at a time with the promise of more id just wish you'd post whatever without empty promises, its like having a father that always disappoints, stop blaming quality its bs everyone loves whatver you put out whenever you feel like posting and nobody complains, either post or not, enough with this mental masturbation.

If you, Frankie read this, I hope you have fun with this content, I hope it doesn't feel like a chore and you enjoy making content again.
Edit: Greatest story teller ever..that was amazing. It got so real with the attack on Yamato, absolutely brilliant. I'm smiling ear to ear, this is the best thing on the internet.
For English speakers anyway: Port and Left both have 4 letters. Starboard doesn't!
Right!
Scrapping ships like Warspite, USS Enterprise (CV-6), HMS Vanguard
"I am beyond shocked on how amazing it is" 🤓🤓🤓
Im happy to just have content from you. it doesnt have to be big epic stories etc, just hearing your voice feels like home haha. welcome back Frankie
Welcome back Frankie! Take your time and enjoy yourself. Happy Frankie = fun entertainment = happy viewers
Welcome back Capitain! The crew never left!
Welcome back Frankie. We missed you. ❤
This is the best video regarding the sinking of Yamato I've ever seen. Great detail, and humor! Thanks so much for making this.
Frankie, what an absolute banger of a video! We all might have fell in love with the channel because of your great gaming videos, but these historical breakdown videos are a very exciting and entertaining edition to the channel. Great work man, you never fail to deliver something fun and entertaining
Really pleased to see your return Frankie, the animations and storytelling were excellent. Can't wait to see what comes next!
one of a kind LOL this dude is washed...
@@flyinsubVODS I have no idea what you're replying to? 🤣
I'm totally geeking out how cool this channel is. Thank you Sir.
What an interesting series, Frankie! I hope to see more of these videos.
"How did you sink it?"
"Just kept shooting it until it sank."
good to see you back man. To be honest, I'd happily just watch you play, build a base, gather resources etc exactly as the game is intended. As you said, the extra effort wasn't really worth it, so just have fun and I think plenty will enjoy the content.
“don’t worry sir the boat is indestructible” the iceberg:
I think we all miss Frankie. The world is a better place when he's back producing videos.
Enjoy it while it lasts people
See ya'll again in a years time?
honestly frankie puts out the best and most interesting videos ive ever watched on yt and ive been on yt for at least 10 years or more, frankie your content is simply the best ive ever seen and i can see your effort going into your videos, we all love to see you uploading and enjoying it once more and if theres anything we as fans can do im sure everyone here would be happy to do whatever we can, myself included. Thank you for the amazing content throughout my childhood and highschool life and into my early 20s.
This brings me back to 2012/13 frankie. Love your videos mate!
well that was that ...
Bro you can't keep doing this to us 😭
That scene was so hilarious. "The gun has never been tested!" Right, so you just went directly from the prototype phase and mounted it on a warship. Logical.
It wasn’t Shōkaku it was shinano
This is amazing. The level of detail is astounding. I’ll watch literally whatever you put out cause it’s all great. Great to have you back.
See you in 2 years Frankie!
Wow 7 months ago this video was uploaded? cant believe theres been barely any videos since. It would be cool if Frankie just updated people with whats hes doing on twitter or something like Sada does
He's gone again
There were meant to be for yamato class battleships. Yamato, musashi, shinano, and shokaku. Yamato and musashi were built as battleships, and shinano was later converted into a carrier. Shinano was never finished before it was sunk, musashi sunk at leyte gulf, and yamato sunk during operation ten go. Shokaku was never built
Yo guys any idea why he turned his comments off on the most recent vid miss you Frankie
Ya I would like to know why as well💀
Probably because all the people telling him upload more I don't blame him it would get annoying eventually
Wow I clicked on this video not even realizing it was FrankieonPcin1080p. Hearing that voice was so nostalgic. Glad to see you’re still doing UA-cam Frankie 🙏🏼
Aaaaaand he's gone. See you all next year!
Great to see you back frankie! :)
see you next year
I thought I recognized your voice from somewhere! It's a bit of a shift in your content but it's good work. Thanks for making it
And he’s gone afk again…
This was one of the best War videos I've ever seen. I subscribed right after watching this only to see that this is a one off video. Please dedicate more time to these kind of productions. The 3d models, the tank v battleship size comparison, the map animations, and the metal gear sounds.. Awesome.
lol ive been into naval recently and never expected to see such a well crafted video from frankie on the yomato battle ship. please do more
Dude that was totally not what I was expecting, but it was still awesome!! Good to see you back regardless of what you produce.
Hope all is well just stumbled to your new project and I have to say its good to have you back Frankie
same story new year, if its not your overbearing job its your overbearing youtube career, man we wait for years at a time with the promise of more id just wish you'd post whatever without empty promises, its like having a father that always disappoints, stop blaming quality its bs everyone loves whatver you put out whenever you feel like posting and nobody complains, either post or not, enough with this mental masturbation.
