      Well...his parents raised him properly.
      .
How are we treating our kids? What examples do they see at home?
      .
If you are a mother or have kids in your entourage, you can start by being a lady and show them how to treat a lady. It all starts at home!
      .
If you are a man, then....you know what to do: follow his example .
      .
      It's a lifelong commitment!

My Wife and I had the pleasure of seeing Jimmy Stewart on stage in London during the 1970's doing a revival of "Harvey" He was wonderful, as well as the rest of the cast.

Briane when I was 10 my mom took me to see my first play on Broadway and it was Harvey with Jimmy Stewart. What a play to start with and I loved it. Not too long after that she took me to see Thornton Wilder’s Our Town with Henry Fonda. One of the great things of growing up in New York City in the 1960’s.

This is my Wing Commander in the Air Force. The 3478th Communications Wing was under his wing as well, being part of SAC. GREATEST THRILL OF MY LIFE WAS at the Release ceremony of 4 1/2 MILLION reservists called up, being released from active duty. When I heard his voice over the pa, I KNEW IMMEDIATELY who my Wing Commander was! Getting to tell the general how much I APPRECIATED all he did in the movies, and in the wing, it was hard fighting back the tears! But I managed a snappy salute. I will take this cherished memory to the grave. God bless you for preserving and posting this vdo! Thank you!

Had a commercial pilot license, flew bomber missions in WW2, served with the Stategic Air Command, retired as a brigadier general and later promoted to major general. Of course, one of our favorite and best actors An amazing life indeed.

Jimmy and Henry Fonda were life long best friends. Politically, they were polar opposites. When asked how they could be such good friends with that difference, Jimmy said there were some things they did not talk about.; there were other things in their friendship that was too important.
    There's a lesson in that.

Unfortunately those day's are long gone in the US. Nowadays everyone defines themselves by their political tribalism. The problem in the US is they don't have real news programmes. They have Liberal news channels and Conservative news channels. 30 to 40 years of that has riven the country in two. Our news in the UK is far from perfect, but the anchors here don't give opinion,by and large they report the day's events and let us decide what to make of it ourselves.

The Story about his Dad is wrong: Jimmy graduated from Princeton in 1932, which means his 40th Princeton reunion would have been in 1972. He said his father wanted him to go to his 40th reunion and almost demanded that he go, which he did. But the problem is, his father passed away in 1961. So you see, that story was incorrect or a lie. Perhaps he just misremembered.
