Just subscribed buddy. Today I introduced my 6 year old daughter and my 2 year old son to "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" and they loved it!! Keep up the good work my friend!
Munich is so amazing I had a layover there this year and in Frankfurt but I don’t count flying over or layovers. In order for me to count a country I have to leave the airport and be doing something. When I saw both Munich and Frankfurt from the sky during the landing the views made me tear out of joy.
Wow!!! It's amazingly quiet and peaceful during the school part and cool that in the movie the kids are actually running out of the chocolate factory!!! Great vid!
Not only Willy Wonka but also "The Neverending Story" was co-produced by Bavaria Film. The novel by the same name was written by a German and the director was German as well.
Thank you ever so much for doing this! I thoroughly enjoyed the video, I loved the way you added screenshots and sound effects from the film. Loved Gene Wilders little quotes, each quote suited the sections of the vid perfectly 🙂 Just for extra info that I found out recently incase you didn't know, the Wonka kids stayed at the 'Schlosshotel' in Grunwald south of the city while filming. Looks a fantastic area and a fantastic hotel overlooking the Bavarian Alps! Classic film set in a classic city!
Thanks for this Matty that is Trivia that I didn’t know and let’s be honest most of Germany is pretty fantastic in my experience. Pleased you liked, trying to find motivation to do more lol! All the best
This has always been my favorite movie. My sister and I are going to Munich in December and I'm going to make sure to visit the "chocolate factory." Great video!!!
That still from the movie at 13:35 has so much ambience. The the iron gate, the smokestacks, the tower, filmed at twilight with the lamps on, it's just establishes such a cool vibe. I hate that they build that modern building blocking the view of the tower. And such a pity the smoke stacks had to come down.
@@seansoper6757 You can no longer screen record movies from Netflix / Prime - so putting the footage up is now very hard unless the person records the movie from their phone looking at their tablet or laptop and that footage isn’t usable. Screen grabs was all I could do. Also a movie is copyrighted and this is UA-cam in 2024 you can’t upload a gif these days.
I have been watching this movie a lot during the Halloween season and October and it’s pretty amazing to watch this film. I’m sad that Gene Wilder is not alive anymore. He was amazing for doing this film. Peter ostrum who played Charlie is working as a. veterinary practitioner in New York now, which is pretty cool I like the part where you were walking over to the location during the scene where Charlie finds the coin and goes to the shop, especially going to the bucket house. That was really cool to see that. 😀
Thank you for your kind and informative comment :) this video seems a life time ago. Gene wilder is great and hope you’re enjoying other films this Halloween season.. any more movies being watched this Halloween?
@@TheContinuingStories you’re welcome it’s so fun to watch on Halloween and it’s amazing I’ve been watching other Halloween movies like nighttime before Christmas as well 😃
Please tell me you watched the movie in your hotel room that night! I love these movie locations! Like you said you just would never have thought you would see these locations in your life. Well done!
Hello, thank you for the warm message. I don’t think I did but I’m about to film another film location in a couple of weeks and have made sure to watch that movie!
Love this, thank. Lived in Munich as a teenager and had no idea it was filmed here. Could you let me of any street names/area names of the locations. Saw a sign post for Wilhelm-Herbert Weg, what other places? Thanks xx
@@TheContinuingStories Actually the flags made sense since Augustus is a German child. The only other flags shown were British and American. So all the nationalities of the kids.
This video is useless without actual street addresses. I plan on visiting Munich and the video does me no good. I got 4 minutes into it and he didn't mention any. Is it worth viewing any more?
You could ask me where I found out where stuff was? Or ask me where these places are? If you really wanted to go you could research? I also do say in the video message me if you want to know where places are and if you watched the first 4 minutes I even tell you what the church is called and if you google that and Munich it’ll tell you.
that town looks peaceful and clean . love willy Wonka my fav childhood movie
Pleased you enjoyed. Germany is beautiful.
Fascinating footage!! I love to see where my favorite childhood films were made, thank you, enjoyed very much!! 😊👍🏻
@@timparker3272 thank you for the comment 👍
Never thought someone would film the tunnel where Charlie ran into Slugworth. So happy to see you did. Thank you!
Hey thanks, yeh it’s a shame it had changed so much recently! Thanks for the comment

Germany in general is amazing, my favourite European country. Think I’m doing a German road trip at Easter, I hope.

Very serene, it was a shame I had so much to do as it was a peaceful spot.

Hello, I think I used the site reel streets for most of them, sorry I can’t be more help. Life is a little chaotic ✌️
Awesome video

All the best to you!
And you :) thanks for the comment
Really good, now I'm going to look for the werewolf vid👍👍👍
Hello Bert thank you so much, I’ll hopefully get it uploaded sooner rather than later - I’m slacking on the editing front at the moment. All the best
So awesome 😁😁👍👍
Thanks 😆
How video excellent!👍😊
Thank you Bruna ✌️
Oh interesting! I didn’t know it was filmed there 🙂
Yeh I was surprised when I found out, but it does explain why there’s loads of German flags in the crowd which always really confused me lol

Cool. Munich really needs to invest in a pressure washer
I always thought it was in the uk in the 1940s/1950s for some reason.
Hey was it fun?
this video? it was awesome to film :)
You should do a charlie and chocolate factory 2005 filming location
I don’t think there’s a actual film location for that movie tbh
it's all green screen
"Oscar Slugworth"
That’s it 😀😀
