People always rule out having two fire types on Ash's team. I glad you put them both in there. Infernape is different enough from Charizard that he should be on the team. In the anime, type advantage isn't as important as we've seen Ash win multiple battles with type disadvantage. Great work. Can't really argue at all with this team. It was made rather objectively. Namely: 1. Dragonite is only the odd one out and even then it has Dragon Dance to offset that anyway and gives much needed bulk all the while. 4. All these mons have demonstrated their capability well. The Sinnoh squad also has 4 Ice weaknesses depending on you pick. And the Alola squad has whopping 5 Ground weaknesses along with 3 Fighting weaknesses for good measure. A big thing about this team is that just about every individual type weakness on this team is accounted for in some way by one of the members and no more than 2 Pokemon share any 1 weakness. That's pretty big. I feel Dragonite in particular being on the comeup makes this type of squad a heck of a lot easier to build. It would take something crazy to change these ideal picks imo.
I agree with the whole list except for I would switched Infernape with Krookodile for lil more Variety in balance. And if I could really Make Ash’s Pokémon Into my team I would switch Pikachu with Torterra to cover almost all the main base types but of course Pikachu the Goat and the face of Pokémon and Ash day one so of course we can’t get rid of that electric mouse. Atleast Ash can’t 😉😜🤣😅
Thanks for mentioning that leavanny, it was an amazing pokemon throughout the series, both battle and character wise and most people under appreciate it
Would've taken Lucario over Infernape for type purposes. You already have Charizard for the fire typing, and Lucario can pick up the fighting type plus adding Steel.
well we know at least that infernape did meet up with charizard at one point off screen in journeys as noted by oak when it went and clapped them toasty cheeks of all of ash's fire type mons

Imagine a actual mega evolution besides Lucario in the future and friendship evolution in the future I hope it comes back for a bit once ash gets closer to the top 20s.
Why Sirfetched isn't included? It has rivalry with Rinto which maybe soon Ash will face again? With I think Mega Gallade and Sirfetched learning Meteor Assault. A good battle again.
the only change I would make to that team is replacing infernape with lucario because 1. I might be wrong but I am pretty sure blaze only activates when he's on low hp and ash already has charzarid 2. ash has potential as a aura guardian and mega stones 3. Favoritism, lucario is my favorite pokemon
I do feel like if Ash ever got a Mega Evolution, it'd be Lucario, but not because "Oh hey it's Lucario". In the past, Ash has already had a connection to a Lucario's aura. He has the aura capabilities to bring out Lucario's full power The Lucario he has immediately chose him before hatching, and their bond was quick and let it evolve really fast, being a Riolu in just under half as many episodes as his Leavanny was a Swadloon. Lucario has a close bond with Ash, so if they don't pull an Ash-Lucario out (Which to be fair would make sense this time), Lucario mega evolving makes so much sense. Let alone the fact that it parallels XY's story, where the first Mega obtained is a Lucario. And I mean, the other options he has are Charizard who had obedience issues for a while, Venusaur would be an option but Bulbasaur refuses to evolve, Blastoise if Squirtle got to evolve, Heracross which is hurt when Mega Evolution ends, Sceptile, Glalie which Ash would refuse because it hurts it, Garchomp would be an option if Gible evolved, Gengar who would try to kill him, and Pidgeot if he went back for it. So to sum it up, Charizard, Sceptile, or Lucario.
@@saadtubers win ratio never matters if there is difference in acheivements charizard is far beyond infernape if we compare their feats and the ratio comes down surely if it was not listening to ash remove them and see its ratio and 99% of battles it lost it lost to aces while on other hand infernape had not even battled much the only strong pokemon it faced was electiwire which was a victory and flint infernape where it was crushed so just look at each other feats
Kanto charizard Jhoto hackross Hoen sceptile Sinnoh inphurne Unova kroocidile Kalos greninja Alola inciniroar Galar lucario Those are the strongest ash Pokémon from each region also don’t mind my spelling
solid picks, but I think in terms of coverage, I would swap infernape with lucario or crookadile just to keep the types balanced. Charizard is a powerful fire type on its own that has defeated legendaries, and just makes infernape on the team just seem redundant. if leon's team is grass, steel or ice heavy, then i'd see infernape being on there. Actually, if his team ends up being like it is in the game, krookadile would be a much much much better fit, as he has agislash and dragapult, and charizard would be excellent as coverage if crookadile falls to either(charizard has used dragon type moves and glost types are weak against flying). krookadile being a dark/ground type and being a powerhouse with a high win rate. Greninja and pikachu both would be ideal against charizard. he's known to bring rhyperior and seismatoad as well, so septile would the the absolute grass speed demon to mop those two up. Dragonite is a tanky damage sponge, so it can take what what dragapult would dish out and send it back at em, and if it has flying type, still would be good against Aegislash. TL;DR 5 out of 6. replace infernape with crookadile.
I love the team, only change I’d make is adding Lucario for Sceptile, because… Lucario is like literally a beast. Not as good as Greninja, but wow what a Pokémon. Good list! 👍 👍
Lad Greninja hasn’t ever encountered one where he can have a good fight, the Darkrai that Sceptile fought was under the training of a toxic master and wasn’t playing to its full potential.
@@pranavbkumar7212 A good Pokémon team in the games would contain a fire, grass, and water type. this team has all not to mention a dragon type having some sub hard weaknesses but dragons are capable of knowing other types of moves and a lot of them.

She always felt pretty powerful and probably did more than Heracross who I do think is stronger but wasn't used till the Silver Confrence. I’d like to point out that in XY, Noivern would either end the fight in a draw or a loss, but when you look at it’s opponents, you start to see that Noivern is actually REALLY strong It did some decent damage to Zapdos, tied a match against Salamence, lost against Weavile, and let’s face it, it’s Alain’s Weavile, it didn’t stand a chance, but against Salamence was pretty impressive, especially considering Salamence is a Pseudo Legendary and Noivern isn’t
For a competivley viable ultimate team I'd say, Greninja (Dark/Water type attacker), Talonflame (Physical Sweeper), Gliscor (Toxic Defense setup) , Nagandel (Special Attack/Toxic spikes setup) , Lucario (Fighting type Attacker), then either Snorlax (Special Wall) or Torterra (Physical Wall/Stealth rock setup)
I understand stand sceptile and greninja but you can tell this guy loves starters more than typing. There’s no need for charizard and infernape when dragonite and Lucario were readily available
My picks for Ash's Ultimate team: 1. Pikachu - for obvious reasons 2. Infernape - sorry Charizard 3. Greninja - another obvious reasons 4. Dragonite - a beast and a tank 5. Snorlax - another beast and a tank 6. Krookodile - a badass

Lately I have been thinking about a bit of fanfic, What if Pikachu got kidnapped by team rocket and brought to Giovanni. While Ash was away on adventures however Giovanni has managed to take over the pokemon league. To get Pikachu back Ash would need to become the Kanto League champion, however Giovanni plans to ambush the champion right after the league final though causing Ash to have to fight two 6v6 battles back to back. Prof. Oak however figured this out and has a plan to switch out all of Ash's pokemon between the fights so he would have a fresh team vs Giovanni. Only now Ash would need to construct 2 full 6 pokemon teams without Pikachu. Every pokemon he ever had is fair game, except pokemon that have a new trainer now (so fully given away or traded away.) A big thing about this team is that just about every individual type weakness on this team is accounted for in some way by one of the members and no more than 2 Pokemon share any 1 weakness. That's pretty big.
I feel Dragonite in particular being on the comeup makes this type of squad a heck of a lot easier to build. It would take something crazy to change these ideal picks imo.
Nice analysis. You defiantly share a lot of points I didn't even realize. It's also summed up basically the way I was ranking them.

Infernape and Greninja
He need bulky and power house so Dragonite and charizard is perfect

So did talontflame and noivern.

@@xzy6237 I still think Dragonite is stronger but I also think that Mega Lucario isnt as strong as Ash's Lucario because of plot armor.
Ash's Dragonite: hp status is infinite/5 billion
Others Dragonite: Hp status 1/2
the only change I would make to that team is replacing infernape with lucario because
1. I might be wrong but I am pretty sure blaze only activates when he's on low hp and ash already has charzarid
2. ash has potential as a aura guardian and mega stones
3. Favoritism, lucario is my favorite pokemon
Infernape has better win ratio than Charizard
I do feel like if Ash ever got a Mega Evolution, it'd be Lucario, but not because "Oh hey it's Lucario".
In the past, Ash has already had a connection to a Lucario's aura. He has the aura capabilities to bring out Lucario's full power
The Lucario he has immediately chose him before hatching, and their bond was quick and let it evolve really fast, being a Riolu in just under half as many episodes as his Leavanny was a Swadloon.
Bruh that infernape si probable mucho better, he almost was unstoppable
DONT REPLACE INFERNAPE WITH LUCARIO
@@saadtubers win ratio never matters if there is difference in acheivements charizard is far beyond infernape if we compare their feats and the ratio comes down surely if it was not listening to ash remove them and see its ratio and 99% of battles it lost it lost to aces while on other hand infernape had not even battled much the only strong pokemon it faced was electiwire which was a victory and flint infernape where it was crushed so just look at each other feats
If I consider game mechanics a good type expansion (with pika compulsory on team)
Pikachu
Charizard
Sceptile
Greninja
Melmetal
Dragonite
Just put lucario in place of malmetal then it's a beast team

Infernape (from what I’ve seen) has an 83% win rate.
solid picks, but I think in terms of coverage, I would swap infernape with lucario or crookadile just to keep the types balanced.
Good list! 👍 👍
Has lucario taken down a legendary no has sceptile yes
Lad Greninja hasn’t ever encountered one where he can have a good fight, the Darkrai that Sceptile fought was under the training of a toxic master and wasn’t playing to its full potential.
You'll get wrecked with this team in a real Pokémon game but in anime it's just of the charts!!!!

I think either dragonite or secptile would be replaced by Lucario since it knows how to mega evolve
Yeah this is basically the team I would choose. One thing though, I would've personally put Bayleef in the qualifiers. She always felt pretty powerful and probably did more than Heracross who I do think is stronger but wasn't used till the Silver Confrence. Still, basically the team I envision would be the ultimate except the lack of an Alola member. I want to have Lycanroc in but I don't know who to take out.
Bayleef is pretty strong I’ll give you that. I almost put in Lycanroc it was basically a tie for Lycanroc and Sceptile.

I’d like to point out that in XY, Noivern would either end the fight in a draw or a loss, but when you look at it’s opponents, you start to see that Noivern is actually REALLY strong
It did some decent damage to Zapdos, tied a match against Salamence, lost against Weavile, and let’s face it, it’s Alain’s Weavile, it didn’t stand a chance, but against Salamence was pretty impressive, especially considering Salamence is a Pseudo Legendary and Noivern isn’t
Salamence wasn’t the pseudo legendary of hoenn

If Ash's gible had been evolved into garchomp it would be Ash's best dragon type
For a competivley viable ultimate team I'd say, Greninja (Dark/Water type attacker), Talonflame (Physical Sweeper), Gliscor (Toxic Defense setup) , Nagandel (Special Attack/Toxic spikes setup) , Lucario (Fighting type Attacker), then either Snorlax (Special Wall) or Torterra (Physical Wall/Stealth rock setup)
Infernape over talon, greninja has arial ace anyway

Every pokemon he ever had is fair game, except pokemon that have a new trainer now (so fully given away or traded away.)
